Maldron Hotel & Leisure Centre Limerick

The location was good. We were attending an event in UL so just a short commute. Room was comfortable and quiet which was just what we needed as we had early starts. Bar food menu had good choice.

The changing rooms in the pool weren’t great, there were tiles removed from the ceiling and water was dripping onto the bench and floor with no signs telling users. Would have like a private changing area available. We are in the bar on both nights of our stay. Service on the second night was very slow. We had asked for dessert menus and after a 20 mins wait we still hadn’t received them. So we just paid for dinner and left.

Facilities. Including swimming pool, which I never used. Location also not bed. Clean and tidy hotel.

Swimming pool closes at 9pm on week days and at 7pm!!! on weekend. This is ridiculous. Should be the other way around. Considering this is typical "city break" hotel. People are coming on Friday and leaving on Sunday for sightseeing this beautiful city and of course would like to have an opportunity to use swimming pool later than 7pm. And of course as many other hotels in Ireland after pandemic far too expensive. For two nights stay payed the same amount as in Danubius hotel in Budapest for 4 nights!!!

I stayed here with my 2 little boys, aged 7 & 10, during the Easter break. We absolutely loved it. The triple room was immaculate. The hotel staff were amazing. Nothing was too trouble. The Grain & Grill restaurant suited our needs perfectly. Breakfast of course was superb. Club Vitae was a massive hit. We were delighted with the pool. The hotel is very centrally located to the City as well as shopping centres and tourist spots. I cannot wait to revisit with my boys. Thank you so much Maldron Hotel Roxboro.

The location is great, only a 5 minute walking after getting off the local bus. Many shops nearby and a place to eat if you don’t make it in time for breakfast ;) . Quiet and relaxing, great lighting inside the room and staff were lovely.

There was a little bit on an unpleasant smell in the bathroom. I believe the toilet could have been cleaned a little better, soap dispensers also weren’t full but overall it was clean and we didn’t have any complaints.

Room - was beautifully presented, very well cleaned, linen perfect, towels lovely. Meals - lovely, evening meals very reasonably priced, lovely staff Staff - excellent, warm, hospitable

There was an odour in the room when I first arrived - it was caused by the drainage - someone may need to look at drainage from the wash hand basin and the bath. It had nothing to do with the quality of cleaning - just drainage.

I found the hotel had great facilities. The garden was a lovely surprise and great addition to the space especially in the warm weather. I loved the swimming pool and facilities there also.

There was times when there was items , cups , clothes left in the corridor to our room. The hotel restaurant would benefit from more of a snack menu also. I got charged for not paying in euros when I wasn't given that option. The taxi that was ordered for us was booked through an app or something which added a charge before we even got in.

The pool is surprisingly big for a hotel pool, we had good fun swimming in it. Changing rooms are being upgraded so the one we were in had no shower and was very small (understandable under the circumstances). Breakfast was excellent and the supervisor was very helpful.

I felt the staff were not fully up to speed, especially in the service end of things. They were very pleasant though.

Leisure centre was great, beds were very comfy, big rooms, food in bar was good, we went room only so cannot comment on breakfast

Bit of litter around the outside of the hotel, it has a shopping area around the back including a Chinese, and there were cartons and forks and general mess around the entrance to the hotel, would be hard to monitor in fairness but having a look out every so often might help.

Swimming pool & leisure facilities are fab & staff helpful. Room a good size. Reception staff polite & helpful.

Need some USB points and plug points (round pin plugs not compatible.) Restaurant food is quite stodgy but good if you like large portions. Found bar staff brusque and not very helpful Cocktail menu not available.

Breakfast excellent. Staff v friendly and helpful. Place clean bright modern and v comfortable.We ate in bar area each night.Food was excellent. Maybe menu could be a bit wider though what we ate was excellent. My husband enjoyed daily specials.

Shower was a bit weak . No Shelf for sponge bag beside sink. Decaf tea in rooms.
