Kilmurry Lodge Hotel

Room is very roomy and had all that I needed. Not so much on other extra stuff that I probably won't use anyway. Surprised to get a very good night's sleep during the two nights I stayed. Lounge areas are homey, very charming and offer just enough quiet and privacy. I like it that breakfast is included in the price. The offerings are also healthy and choices are enough. I did not get to see the rest of the options as was in a hurry to leave but overall was happy with the breakfast. Thank you. Wish the shampoo and conditioner were better. Sink was just a wee bit clogged, nothing much to pose a problem. Bernie from the Reception was super helpful and accommodating, checkout was easy. Much appreciated. Thanks again, Bernie! Booked here for the location, it is walking distance to Carelon, our office. Wish corporate discount is available for Carelon employees.

Nothing that I don't like but some suggestions are given above.

I received the friendliest and warmest of welcomes from Shauna on my late arrival. Room very clean with a comfortable bed. The shower was incredibly powerful, so much so that when turned on, the water shot out everywhere and forced shower head upwards. Unfortunately that led to water spraying everywhere in the bathroom. Perhaps the pressure could be eased a little. Bath towels were a little on the small side.

Whilst breakfast was fine with a good selection on offer, the hot food was not very hot. Staff were very helpful.

We very much enjoyed our 3 night stay at the Kilmurry Lodge. The room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly whenever we had questions. Because of the convenience, we took advantage of the restaurant, and were very pleased with the quality of the food and the excellent service. We were traveling without a car visiting the University of Limerick, and found the location very convenient for public transportation and taxis as needed. The Lodge is also easy walking distance to and from the campus. I will certainly choose the Kilmurry Lodge when I am in Limerick again.

No complaints or dislikes at all.

Breakfast was nice overall. Good selection. Staff were attentive for Bar service and at Breakfast. Good location. Comfortable rooms.

Door slamming. All bedroom doors near us seemed to slam. I realise this may be to ensure they close when you leave but you can adjust modern door closers so they arent as harsh. Late arrivals wake up all those close by when their door slams. At breakfast, fried eggs pre-made I am not a big fan of. They go a bit hard and rubbery. Either swap them out more often or make to order.

The reception staff were amazing, special shout out to Ben and the lady with short hair and glasses, thank you. They went above and beyond to accommodate my requests and it resulted in a very comfortable, successful and happy stay. Location was perfect for UL sporting event. The bed was extremely comfortable. Kettle and hairdryer in room. Mini toiletries provided. 12noon check out. Nice big car park.

No air conditioning but we brought our own cooling unit as it was hot weather and we were there for 4 nights so we were comfortable. I wouldnt say its a problem when the weather is a bit cooler.

The room was gorgeous and comfortable. Everything we needed was provided. All of the hotel staff were lovely and helpful.

We ate in the restaurant one night and our server never came back to check on us, not even after one of us was given the wrong meal. We asked another server for the bill and didn't receive it until we got up and found the second server. We never saw the first server again. The service in the hotel itself was wonderful, though.

Friendly staff at reception late at night when I checked in, and in the bar. Good local ale in the bar and reasonable prices for drinks including whiskey . Breakfast was excellent value and included multiple barista-prepared coffees, so top value at €12. The sausages were especially good. Bed was excellent and room was spotless and quiet even with window open.

Not being able to open the window in my room more than 2 inches. As a result it was very humid and airless. The window could only open vertically in the centre so no possibility to generate a convection current. From breakfast, a small detail but a safety-critical one. The bain marie containing eggs had a defective hinge and would not stay open. Risk of being burned if it fell on your hand while getting out eggs. Especially balancing a plate as the design of the food area lacked the possibility to leave your plate on the surface in front, so you have to balance the plate in one hand and open the hot container and get food with the other.

Friendly staff. The lovely red longhaired receptionist was extremely helpful and a wonderful first impression for Kilmurry Lodge. Breakfast and dinner were good value and very convenient.

There were not enough hooks for the towels, so the towels did not dry. Basically, you could only use the towel once in a day.

I stayed with my two grown up children and appreciated that a room for three people was available and that the price was good value The room despite 3 people was spacious. The gym was state of the art and exceeded many that we have used in four star hotels. The staff are very helpful and friendly in all areas of the hotel. We will definitely be back

To identify anything would just being picky

Room was lovely and cosy, staff very very nice and helpful, location excellent not too busy not too quiet, shopping center and cinema across the road, amazing food in bar woow and beautiful wine. Really liked Bar and lots of outside seats and nice lighting.. didn't have a breakfast cos had to leave very early but reception organised lovely coffee and pastries for us at 6 am which was a such a great gesture from them and i didn't have to stop at petrol station so save me a lots of time.

The only thing that disappointed me when booking room online was that I asked for something small special for the room when we arrive because we just got engaged and it was a little celebration for us just one night away before big engagement party. But we didn't get anything when we arrived to room.
