Hotel Gloria Budapest City Center

I stayed here two nights. The hotel is really nice and cozy, the room was a good size and very clean. I appreciated the kettle in the room and the teabags/coffe there too, really handy. The staff was helpful and spoke in English. The breakfast was good too, good choice. It is not located in the city centre but I have chosen it due to its proximity to the bus station, anyway the metro station is some 10 minutes walk from the hotel and in 3-4 stops you are in the centre so I had no issue with regard to this. The neighbourhood is quiet and residential, looked safe. Would come back again.

Good value for money. Friendly service at the reception. The room was clean. Available in the room fridge, electric kettle - you can make your own tea and coffee. Of course, you have to remember that this is not a luxury multi-star hotel. Quiet district, no noise from public transport.

In hot weather, the lack of air conditioning may be a bit of a pain, although a fan is available. The hotel is located about 40-50 minutes on foot to the center. If someone wants to use the TV, it's tiny. The beds are on wheels, they move too easily. On the other hand, they are easy to connect or separate depending on your needs.

Parking in the garden was superb, breakfast was nice, room was fine, and Yes it's a bit far out. But you have the tram 5mins away and the Metro around 10mins away, easy to get into the City

Well when I booked a tour from the hotel they took 2 Euro's commission, was not informed of this, only found out when was in the queue to get on the boat, and I heard what other people paid. Now it's not about the 2 Euro's they phoned up the boat company and got me a place. But they could have said about the money. it was a bit underhand. But I would def stay there again even without a car. the city was Amazing Budapest blew me away

The hotel is not far from Nepliget bus station. Around 10-15 min on foot. Also, the reception works 24/7. I arrived at 0.30 am and there was staff at the reception, so I got the room very fast and without problems. The room is exactly what is shown on the photos. A fridge in the room and a hairdryer in the bathroom. Clean and cozy hotel, quiet area, not many cars. The garden view made me feel as I were home.

I had no conditioner - only a fan. It works well, but maybe not enough when outside is above 33°. The beds are too high :) Maybe a bit noisy, the neighbors are well heard. And a bit aged.

Apartment seems having a bare minimum to spend a night. Old and really basic renovation just to look clear, old furniture, bathroom is really old with condansate tube from a/c right into the shower. Double bed is two separate beds that are constantly rolling one against each other, so you cannot sleep comfortably together. Also I was really surprised that there were no doors inside. If you are looking for privacy from children, don't consider this room. Based on previous accomodations it feels like price is too high

I recently stayed at the Gloria Hotel in Budapest and had an exceptional experience. The hotel is spotlessly clean, creating a welcoming and comfortable environment. Everything was good, the room had all the necessary equipment in good condition. The bed was very comfortable and I was pleased to see the electric kettle and tea in the room.

When I arrived (December) the heating was very weak and eventually turned off compeletely. I know it was a time of "great energy saving" and I totally understand that, I have no complaints regarding the temperature in the room, it was ok for the living. However, it was raining outside and it was impossible to dry the clothes in the room. So it would be nice either to leave at least the minimum heating for the drying of the clothes or figure out another way to fix this particular problem for the clients.

My partner and I were just there for an overnight stop on our way to the airport, and it was perfect for that - 20 minute drive, breakfast in the morning, easy checkin/checkout. It was also in a quiet part of town, so that was nice.

The walls were pretty thin, and we could hear just about everything. Not a huge deal since we were just there a night. If we'd stayed for longer, it would have been annoying. Also pretty far from city center.

We have reached here easily using miniBUD easily. The place is neat and clean located in a quiet neighbourhood. We are a family of 4 and we had taken a two bedroom apartment. Rest all is good. The balcony is nice and cosy. The bathroom is decent and functional. All the other amenities were good in the room. Breakfast is also ok. The metro station and main bus station is at 10 min walking distance. The hotel has lift.

We have stayed in family room. The only drawback of this room was that there’s only one AC in one bedroom. The other room doesn’t have any AC nor was there any arrangement for a fan. During summer, AC or fan is a must. All 4 of us had to accommodate in one bedroom due to AC but that also didn’t help as there’s no partition between rooms. So the room didn’t cool at all. We couldn’t sleep well at all.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The mattresses were soft and comfortable. The little candies on the bed were a thoughtful gesture.:)

The TV didn't work when we arrived, but i told the staff about it and they fixed it pretty quickly. There were some minor damages on a few of the furniture, probably left by previous guests, such as a burn mark on one of the chairs and some of the doors on the bedside tables were hanging once you opened them. I reported these to the staff as well, just in case they don't know about it (turns out they had no idea). One of the bedside lamps didn't work, but it wasn't that big of a deal.
