IntercityHotel Budapest

The hotel is in a great location for transport links to all major attractions. It was extremely clean, with maid service each day. The room was spacious and the bathroom was very modern with a great shower. The Reception and bar area were welcoming and bright with very helpful staff. Would definitely recommend.

The room was too warm, especially overnight, and adjusting the air con didn't seem to make a difference.

The location of the hotel is excellent, You can get around in the city easily from the Keleti Railway Station (two metro lines and countless busses besides the trains). The room was modern, comfortable and pleasantly decorated. It had a great view on the railway station and Baross Square. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The staff was always friendly and eager to help. The breakfast offered by the hotel is absolutely superb. There was a great variety of choices and all the options I tried were really tasty.

The room didn't have an independent heating system. It was heated through the air-conditioning system which was far from efficient in December and it had only three settings. The water in the shower wasn't particularly warm either. Most of the times the hot water was warm or lukewarm but sometimes it was cold. The wifi is not password protected and it is probably far from secure. The shower wall is actually a milk-glass window towards the bed. There could be hotels where that makes sense but generally I think it is a weird idea. The room, the corridor and the lobby were clean but not squeaky clean.

Location great. Surrounded by transport options. Had wheelchair room. excellent size for turning wheelchair, Good roll in bathroom and shower with plenty of rails, lacking only a bidet.. Plenty of space in lift but the room is as far away from the lift as possible and carpeted all the way which is murder on the arms as the wheelchair sinks into the carpet it is like boing uphill all the way. The lift security is too tight. You use your room key to access your own floor but no other floor so we could only meet our friends from another floor in the lobby. we could not visit their floor nor they ours.

visiting friends on another floor impossible. Hotel advertises restaurant food from 6pm and a bistro from 7pm. Neither are available Topping up of drink sachets in the room is very hit and miss. No bidet in disabled toilet is difficult if incontinent.

We liked everithing- cleanliness, the view from our window to the interiot garden, the huge bed, the fact that every single morning our towels were changed, the recycle bins were taken out. We had tea and coffee for breafast in the room. It is next to Keleti railway station, but we couldn't hear any noise. We liked our stay a lor and if we come back to Budapest, we'll stay here as well. The tram station is at 1 minute walk, the metro line as well, bus stops and everything you need for a wonderful stay are at hand. We'll surely recommend it to our relatives and friends.

We can' t say anything, but good things about this gorgeous hotel.

Fridge in room, coffee making facilities, shower, air con, windows can be opened. STAFF EXCELLENT.

I unfortunately became ill and the staff just couldn't do enough for me. 24 hrs Pharmacy found for me, taxi arranged for me 22-00 to take me there and back (paid for by me ). In the morning still ill so they arranged a house call from a doctor,he arrived in three hours to our hotel room wrote me a prescription, I went the nearest Pharmacy got my prescription and all well after another 5 hours. A heart felt thank you to all who helped me. The rooms were clean and enough room for my wife and I, also had a small fridge which was a god send with temperatures well into the late 30c, shower excellent.

This hotel is sparkling new. Guests will enjoy elevators and modern bathroom fixtures. There could hardly be anything better for guests arriving by train into Budapest-Keleti station and wanting something close by. The neighborhood is not particularly interesting at first glance, but it seems safe and on second glance many of the nearby buildings have wonderful old architecture. The popular Rosenstein Vendegloo restaurant, serving hearty Jewish-Hungarian fare, is a two-minute walk away.

The dark hallways are very sterile, with no windows or color. LIghting is not the problem; it's just the sterile feeling. The inner courtyard onto which our room looked is also extremely sterile. There is no obvious purpose for it to be there other than to let in light for inner-facing guest rooms.

Everything was great. It is a quite new hotel, with big rooms, modern, very clean, and you cannot hear nothing from the outside! I really don't know what kind of windows they have, I need some of that in my home too. Even if the room has view to the busy street you cannot hear nothing. The personal was great, a big parking under the hotel. Very safe. The breakfast was good, with plenty of choises. The metro station is 1 minute away after you exit the hotel. Definitely we will also choose this hotel next time when we go to Budapest.

Modern building and new clean & decorated room with a fantastic city view from the window. Very friendly and helpful staff who recommended a perfect place to have dinner nearby. Room was all in the InterCity brand colours with a massive map of the city on the wall. Great shower. Perfect for the stay near the train station. We used it on our last day before taking a cab to the airport. Breakfast was tasty but we had to buy it as an extra.

Very nice new hotel. Room was great, confortable, good size, excellent bedding and shower. Soundproofing very good, air conditioning easy to use. Really comfortable, everything.

I hated the neighborhood. Not very cool, and a very log walk (+25 min) to the interesting part of the city, especially for finding a restaurant at the end of the day. Very ugly part of the cuty, I didn't felt at ease walking around. Breakfast was a little scarse in terms of choice, I've seen much better> A real pity both issues in regards of the hotel per se, which is fantastic.

The whole facility was perfectly clean, nice and tastefully furnished, even the hallways smelled clean. Breakfast was delicious, plenty to choose from. The staff was nice and helpful. Whenever we needed anything, the reaction was prompt. We felt very comfortable.

We had 2 minor issues that got sorted right away. There were feather pillows and blankets and we are allergic, so we called the reception and the staff came to change them within 5 minutes. The other was that the cleaning service took the towels without replacing, but again after a quick call to the reception we had them within 5 minutes, so we don't even consider this a negative.
