Wyndham Garden Guatemala City

The location is great for restaurants and shops. Hotel restaurant staff very friendly and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean.

I went to ask for help to scan the hotels information at reception two members of staff were on duty. One was very unprofessional laughing and joking with the other menber of staff and completely ignored the fact he was trying to help me. The hotel states they have a complimentary taxi to the airport, this same member of staff who was laughing and joking the night before told me they charge 125GTQ there were three members of staff at reception at that point not one questioned it. I took a photo shot of the hotels information and showed it to her and then at that point the taxi was complimentary. I have stayed at this hotel three times before.

The hotel was great, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast (sat + sun) was great and had many options. The room was bigger than expected, had a nice couch, TV, desk and little station with mini fridge. The bathroom was big and clean. We loved the hottub on the terrace although it took us a bit to find it and you have to climb the last set of stairs.

The AC didn’t seem to work as powerfully as we would’ve liked, it sort of remained at the same temp even when we tried adjusting it. Breakfast on weekends starts at 7am despite the website saying its 6:30. I asked about the shuttle service through Booking and never got a response. We were told at the airport it would come every 15 min but that’s not true, you have to make arrangements with the hotel prior (and it’s $14usd) Last thing to keep in mind about location, it can be very noisy at times (lots of honking/traffic noises) so bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper (the AC doesn’t provide much of a white noise to help, I had to use my phone)

Hughe, freshly renovated room. Large bathroom, very clean. In a nice area in Guatemala City. The area around the hotel felt very safe. Lots of chain restaurants and malls in the immediate vicinity. Good base to explore Guatemala City (historic center about 20-30 min with uber) and close to the airport (about 10 min).

Stay overall was pretty good. A few nit-picks: There was some construction next to my room, but it was quite after 16:00. Shower was not very hot and could have done with more water pressure, but all in all it was ok. First night the coffee machine was missing coffee pads, the second night the best before date of the coffee was exceeded. There were loud water noises when someone above the room showered.

Hotel location and presentation was very good. Most staff were helpful and pleasant still working Christmas Eve. Very roomy and well spec'd facility, big screen TV with apps, lounge suite etc Our room on the 14th floor was clean large and modern. Comfortable bed We did not have time to taste their included breakfast. We still spec this a good hotel with only minor faults that may be related to the time of year.

We arrived Christmas eve a little early and were not allowed into our room until 3pm.Eventually ,they allowed us in slightly earlier but would have been better if we could have been allowed in on arrival as there were very few clients and nearly all shops around were closed and we had international travel bags which they helpfully stored whist waiting, Double glazing may have helped when celebratory fireworks by all the locals ,are released on specific days.(Ours being midnight Christmas Eve)

I used this hotel as my base for travel in town and east of town, prior to moving to Antigua. The staff were generally competent at their jobs, and flexible and imaginative in helping me with various tasks. Breakfast was good not great, with limited options and a bit of a cattle call given the crowds, no espresso machine. Parking was free, location was great, neighborhood was upscale with lots of dining options.

Breakfast could have been better, some front staff had more limited english than one might hops.

The hotel's location is perfect, walking distance from malls, restaurants and the "nice" part of the city. Not too far away from the airport either! The staff went above and beyond our expectations being willing to accommodate any single need we had. The view from the top floors is beautiful as you have the volcano in front of you!

The breakfast isn't the greatest. Not too bad but could be improved by putting more variety of food. Also, the breakfast hours are really limited. The advertised "pool" is just really a couple of very very small jacuzzis, the area on the roof could be vastly improved.

- Room has really everything you need, beautiful and you feel like at home! - Great View over city and airport - comfortable bed - good location - nice vibe with other guests

- Rooftop could be used better, get creative radisson ;) - breakfast okayish for a hotel of this class, especially the coffee, come on, this is Guatemala ;) - unfortunately it can become really loud at night, the hotel is in zona viva and some clubs are very close by with super loud music until late and big windows are not isolating well (old building, one layer glass?)

Everything was great. The room was very comfortable. I ordered room service and it was a little pricy but very good. I hired a shuttle to the airport which provided good service. The area is very central and had everything I need close by.

The checking staff was a little rude. I traveled for work and they initially made a huge issue of leaving an open credit card for any expense incurred during my staff. Eventually, the manager came by and allowed my company leave a credit card on file.

Lovely large room and n a great location closer to bars and restaurants in the financial district. The breakfast was lovely.

Unfortunately there was building work going on so lots of noise from the hammering and drilling. There is also a nightclub very close by and the music was incredibly loud until nearly 3am. We asked for earplugs but were told they didn’t have any so it was impossible to sleep until the music finally stopped.

Great location with plenty of restaurants and cafes including nearby Plaza Fontabella Staff were super lovely Spacious room Fantastic breakfast with local delicacies Rooftop jacuzzi outdoors which was always empty, deck chairs

Shower took a while to come out hot, but once you know just wait then get in Area can get noisy, especially on weekends (zona viva) I would have appreciated a minibar fridge to keep some water and yogurt/fruit chilled
