Hotel Posada de Don Rodrigo Antigua

The property is as centrally located as is possible in Antigua, a couple blocks from the square and on the street with the famous arch. However, once you walk inside the gracious old hacienda, you are in another world from the bustle of the streets outside. It is a true hotel, with trained staff, the amenities and ambience a hotel ought to have, and, again, the best location imaginable inside Antigua.

The Posada de Don Rodrigo is in an excellent location in Antigua. Although it is located on the busiest street in Antigua, it felt like a serene oasis once you stepped inside the courtyard. The common areas and our room were very beautiful and clean. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful.

There is no AC and it was hot in Antigua while we were there (March).

Our favorite place to stay in Antigua! The staff, ambient and location are excellent. Because of the Easter Week processions, their off-street parking became a real plus!

Because of the great location in the center of town, sometimes the noise factor becomes noticeable.

The room was completely soundproof! Our window looked out onto the Santa Catalina arch and it was very noisy but with the windows closed you could no tell. Breakfast was delicious, too!

The rooms were a little dark but that's to be expected with an older building.

The food was always superb. We ate all our meals there.

Only hotel where there were no Kleenex! Also the only one where they didn’t give us bottle water! We had to go to the store to buy some. They provided filtered water but I didn’t trust it. The bathroom could use some scrubbing and new caulking. The shower tile floor was very slippery!

The patios are phenomenal. The stuff is super friendly too. Overall, a fantastic colonial ambience. The breakfast is great too

The internet is terrible. We had trouble loading websites, and watching something on YT was almost impossible

Customer service and staff were on point. We had some international guests and they were so impressedwith the vibe and the Moros dance. El equipo muy amable y servicial.

I think you should equip the rooms with AC or a fan. Quiza equipar las habitaciones con Aire Acondicionado o ventiladores.

This hotel was like an oasis. The location is perfect. The staff is very kind and helpful.

Antigua can be a little noisy at night and in the morning. There’s lot of noise outside of the room because the staff are opening doors and working and such. The bed was too hard for my comfort.

Front desk was very accommodating. My room was not ready yet for check-in. I was offered a beverage while I waited for housekeeping to complete my room. Lillian was helpful with arranging my transportation to the airport

I can be a little loud if your room is located near the restaurant

The location could not have been better.

The toilets tend to clog, but that is a problem throughout Antigua due to its Spanish era pluming system. A plunger will solve the problem every time; it is not a big deal.
