Selina Antigua

Selina is a special place. We had a provate room at the 1st floor, which I can only recommend. Not cheap but beautiful, spacious and very clean. The whole hotel and the common areas are beautiful, nicely decorated with a lot of services (co-wotking space, common kitchen open 24h, small swimming pool, hammocks in the garden, library, bar and restaurant, etc.) and events. Location in town is good, close to lots of cafés and restaurants. Staff is very helpful and friendly

The bathroom is alright, although not as great as the room. If you are aged 35+ you might feel a bit "old" ;-)

My favourite hostel I stayed at during my time in Guatemala! The staff are so friendly and go above and beyond to help you out with recommendations, booking shuttles etc . As a solo traveller this made me feel so safe and looked after! Selina feels like a luxurious place to stay. I stayed in both a private room and a dorm and the dorms were large, very clean, with a lovely private bathroom. The common areas are great. Such a relaxing place to stay in Antigua. Thank you!

The culture and amenities included were above expectations. The complimentary services were wonderful and the get togethers were so fun. The food at the lounge was great and los tres amigas is attached- also wonderful food. Location was somewhat central with a quick 10minute walk to most things. The door to the hotel is even guarded and locked at night.

The bathrooms could have been a bit cleaner.

beautiful hostel, big with lots of areas to chill. toilets and showers were always clean, they had lovely smelling shower gel use. when we were there it wasn’t a party hostel, music was off by 11 but I can imagine if it’s high season it could be later

check in was very long, they didn’t have a great system with having to do something online first, we had to wait for the people in front to get themselves sorted filling out the forms for 20mins. the private bedroom was very small, was more expensive than other places in Antigua. didn’t get breakfast included when paying nearly £60 a night

Staff was kind and the place itself was also interesting. They gave us a welcome drink which was very tasty. The pool is cool, specially after a long day of hiking. They've got a community kitchen with tons of supplies for you to cook your own meal if that's you'd prefer. Good location too

They could have better pillows and shampoo, but that's a personal liking. The rest is just fine, Just as it's described.

I stayed in a shared female dorm and the bed was super comfortable. Hot water and amazing water pressure. Daily cleaning. The food, drinks and service at the restaurant were incredible. The pool (although very cold water) was relaxing and calm. Very well equipped kitchen, library and exercise space. Staff organizes activities per day and are always willing to help. Overall, one of the best hostels that I’ve stayed in.

Warm welcome, staff was very helpful and lovely ambiance. Restaurant serves good food. Community kitch is big and has everything you need. Everything was well kept. Welcome drink at the first night where i made some really nice friends that i am still connected with.

There was construction work next door with really loud music. But that of course was something out of their reach. Nevertheless the staff turned down the volume of their own music so it was less overwhelming.

The location is superb but hard to find for the first time because no businesses can or do put up hanging signs that can be seen while approaching the establishment on the road. This is all of Antigua. It was a little strange. The campus is large. A huge garden/lawn area to hang out or do yoga, a pool and there is a big restaurant/bar area that entertains in the evening with salsa lessons etc. They have a pool table as well. The staff are very informative and helpful. Everyone is fluent in English as well. Booking tours/transportation was super easy. But getting Back to Guatemala City Airport can be a challenge. Choose a well-known tour group to get you back in time for your flight, if you choose a shuttle. Uber is much easier and if very reasonable in Guatemala.

Four person rooms are a bit small. There is no circulating air in the room that I recall (like most of the shared rooms in this area of the world). Air circulation could have been better. Like a fan on the ceiling at minimum.

the hostel is simply beautiful. it has all type of amenities such as restaurant/ bar, pool, beautiful common areas in nature with spectacular decorations and places to rest. communal kitchen library and a calisthenics gym, not to mention gardens and a terrace. recepcionists are extremely resourceful and helpful and they offer plenty of goods for sale so you don’t have to go out last minute. I was organized a shuttle from Guatemala City at a very convenient price and super effective. the coordination was smooth easy and kind. they were always ready with confirmation and to give info in a very kind manner. shuttle van was pretty and driver was amazing. I felt SUPER safe with the whole coordination and itineraries this was super that added a great value to my experience!!! food was good and coffee is available the whole time. had a great and cozy sleep!! you can check in late with no problem. really enjoyed it.

Great location and rooms are designed nicely. Pool area is very pretty and staff was really nice. Especially Balter helped us out many times and was so friendly!

Unfortunately there were construction going on until night and starting very early in the morning. Also the rooms are a little dark, which is okay as you can spend lots of time outside.
