Piraeus City Hotel

Excellent location, 5min walk to gate E9, very clean and fairly modern rooms. Although a couple of nearby nightclubs were noisy you could only hear them outside on our balcony (7th floor) not in the room but we were woken briefly by the church bells at 07:30.

The location and the excellent advice we received about restaurants and getting around. We had a cruise after that and a 2 week land trip in Italy and had the best Greek salad at a restaurant they had recommended ( best Greek salad and octopus for the whole trip). Easy access to public transportation. Great location if you're cruising as you are a very short taxi ride to your boat. Ferry boats are across the street

Going for an early morning walk and finding someone sleeping on the sidewalk but felt safe enough. Not to worry.

Hospitality How welcoming the staff was when we arrived - like we were visiting his home. He had sandwiches sent up to our room after we arrived. Morning staff as well. Many of us were waiting to leave for a cruise and the staff at the desk was friendly and interactive with everyone.

Power went out and had to drag a lot of luggage down 5 flights of stairs. It will be one of those memories about our trip. "Remember when . . . . . ."

This property was extremely clean, the staff was outstanding and extremely helpful, I did not have the breakfast in the hotel, but I did get the turkey and cheese toast from room service and after a day of traveling it was so basic and just what I needed. There is a great bakery by the port two blocks from the hotel, a pharmacy and bunch of great cafes within one block. The staff and the cleanliness definitely stood out as exceptional.

There is nothing I didn’t specifically dislike. I will say that possibly the rooms are due for some updates. Also, need to put your key in the slot buy the door to get the electricity on.

A great location close to the port to access a ferry the next morning. We caught a bus from the airport easily enough for about 12 euro for 4 people and found it ok. We were able to check in a bit earlier, and the room had a large double and a bunk for our kids and a large bathroom. Great advice on local restaurants in close walking distance from staff. Quiet and clean hotel. Friendly staff printed our ferry documents. The breakfast for 25 euro for a family was fresh and filling with great variety. A safe location close to shops, restaurants, the Port and a 5 min walk to the harbour for ferries.

Location was excellent for both the port and train station access. Clean and enough area in the room to set luggage. Breakfast had good variety and the coffee was good. Two small elevators allow faster access to the rooms. Staff friendly and helpful.

Beds were a bit hard. Shower stall small with wrap around curtain that doesn’t keep the water in the shower so you need to dry the floor when done. A few steps down from reception to elevators with luggage was awkward. A small ramp to roll luggage would be helpful.

The hotel is located close to the cruise port and a subway that can take you to Athens. The subway fee is very reasonable. We took a taxi to the cruise port which was very reasonable. Breakfast was plentiful and there were plenty of choices. I would recommend guests to get the breakfast which had every thing we needed We took the bus from the airport and walked the distance from the stop to the hotel. The walk is about 1/2 hour. Information can be obtained from the hotel. If I had to do it again, I would take a taxi from the bus stop to the hotel since the sidewalk has tiles with ridges where the suitcase wheels tend to get stuck. Housekeeping cleaned rooms upon request. Due to covid request had to be made.

We had no complaints.

The hotel was a very short walk from Gate 9 straight up the road for 3 blocks and turn left. The hotel was very clean and our room had a lovely balcony. The breakfast was very good for the price. It was only a few blocks to the main walking avenue full of shops and leads down to the waters edge and many lovely places to eat. It was a 15 - 20 min walk to the Metro to catch a direct ride to Athens International airport. The big picture of the port and gate in the lobby was very useful.

We stayed at this hotel twice during our recent trip to Greece. Once was in a queen bed room and once was in a room with a queen bed and bunk beds. Both rooms were nice, but the larger room was especially nice. The location is very convenient to the port for ferries and it is also close to restaurants. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

The queen room had a very small shower and it was not possible to shower without water running all over the floor. There is a drain outside of the shower, so water was not standing.

Very welcoming and helpful staff at the reception. As I was asking information about the boat travel next day, the person offered to issue our boat tickets ah the hotel which made us gain time the next day. Very practical and conveniently placed next to the Piraeus port. We walked 3 blocks and there we were at our onboarding gate Also the room as quiet and had a corner for coffee and tea making for early risers and 2 bottles of water offered in the frig.

The shower facility was too small making it hard to contain the water.
