Phidias Piraeus Hotel

Very good hotel, with super friendly staff! especially Maria. Location is excellent. The hotel is clean and room was spacious, bathrooms and beds are great. The hotel provides a free shuttle to the port for cruising passengers. Definitely would recommend this to everybody who is visiting Phidias Piraeus Hotel.

the employees at this location went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great. From giving us directions to the Ships to helping me with travel arrangements and offering suggestions on where to eat I would give them 100 stars if I could. Walking distance from restaurant and shopping and 2 parking garages next to the hotel for ample parking. they had breakfast ready the next morning before 5:45am when we left for our ship. rooms were very clean. the beds were king size and even had 2 kings in one room so my family fit in it very well.

Fantastic experience at this loverly little hotel in Piraeus. Stayed 4 nights pre-cruise and 1 night post-cruise. Rooms are clean and fresh with everything you need. We opted for a Terrace which we found to be ideal first thing of the morning sitting out with a coffee. Staff were very friendly and made you feel at home straight away. The location is fantastic. Next to the Marina with all its bars and restaurants and a 2min walk to the hypermarket for last-minute essentials. Free transport to the cruise terminal, bus stop and metro. All this at a price that is great value for money.

Nothing

Although the room itself was small the adjoining covered private terrace with sunbed and chairs/table was fantastic - we were thrilled. The hotel was very well located for nearby shops, restaurants, bars and the marina. Also it was on a very quiet street even though Piraeus itself is a very busy place.

Breakfast varied in the morning in terms of what was presented... sometimes had to wait a while but the waitress was lovely and most things were provided that you would normally expect at breakfast. The staff were lovely and friendly. The room and en-suite were very clean.

Excellent location close to the port and old port where there were many restaurants and grocery stores and shops. George and other staff were extremely helpful in helping us to find the correct bus stop from the airport and even paying for our taxi when the courtesy bus couldn’t pick us up. George also spent time with us to help with our port transfer and ferry check in and give us helpful recommendations about what to see and where to eat in the area. Courtesy bus to port was friendly and efficient. Check in and check out was easy. Rooms were very comfortable- bedding air con, coffee and tea facilities. Breakfast available early if needed.

Nothing, everything was great.

Everything, so much that we booked to stay here again following the cruise. We also booked the Junior suite at the end of the trip which was a treat after being in a cabin with 4 of us on the boat. The terrace was wonderful to enjoy my coffee, they provided a play pen for our son and we had to beds which was well worth the upgrade again at the end of our trip. The location is excellent as it’s right by the marina and delicious eateries: we loved the Grilled Meats spot just down the street and very close walk to the metro where we took to Athens for the day. The hotel held our luggage, car seats while we enjoyed the day. Helped us get a taxi for the airport and honestly showcased how incredibly wonderful Greece 🇬🇷 is. If you are looking for a place that is safe, easy access to everything, quiet, quaint and cute then look no further. We will be back again!

It was wonderful

For me I have three key things I look for when booking hotels/stays: safe, quiet, and clean. This hit all the marks here and beyond. Additionally, the staff was phenomenal. Probably the best staff I have experienced in a long time in comparison to staying at the Ritz Carlton-meaning for a quaint budget hotel WOW. From beginning where I was contacting the property to during, helping us with transfers and then a 4am taxi arrangement to the local children’s hospital for our son due to asthma related issue…I can’t thank the staff enough for going over and beyond for the hospitality. The hotel is in a great spot near the marina with lots of delicious restaurants and shops. Easy access to Athens and cruise terminal.

It is quaint and simple- not a bad thing, if you are looking for luxury. But for us it was perfect.

I am a female over 65 who travels solo, so service and security are very important. The night I arrived, my ferry was over 2 hours late and their arranged driver was no longer available at 03:00A. I sent them a message from the ferry through booking.com which they answered within 10 minutes. They said to grab any cab at the port and they would pay the driver direct. I did, and when we pulled up to the hotel, the night manager was standing on the front steps to greet and pay the driver. The small hotel is recently renovated with an incredible amount of detail. There are TWO triple glazed sliding doors to the small balcony eliminating street noise. The room was perfect with high quality linens, great pillows, a hot pot and a little nespresso maker. Bathroom fixtures all new. Amazing blackout drapes. Breakfast was 9€ for an excellent spread including eggs, bacon, potato’s, mushrooms, toast and fruit. Also a cappucino machine! The pretty harbor for rich people’s sailboats is a 3 minute walk with many excellent restaurants. ***For solo travelers plan ahead and get a solo room - I stayed for 60€/night. It’s only a 3 minute walk also to the X96 bus stop - an express ride to the airport for 6€!!! But they still gave me a ride since I had luggage. Altogether perfect!

George and Maria were the perfect hosts. We had a problem at the airport and contacted them to notify that we would be late in arriving. Their driver waited a long time while I filed my missing luggage report. Couldn’t ask for any better cooperation from them. When we finally arrived at the hotel, we were treated like family rather than guests. Our room was spotless and opened onto a balcony. We had a lovely breakfast the next morning and were driven to the port to catch our cruise ship. We cannot say enough good things about this hotel and its wonderful staff. Should we ever return to Athens, we will definitely stay here.

No complaints.

The staff were super friendly. We were picked up from our ferry into Piraeus and taken directly to the hotel. It was a very hot day and the lovely lady gave us all a bottle of water as she could see we were in need. The room was a suite which looked like it was a recent renovation and was superb. There was a sliding door in between the two rooms. The bathroom was great and the we even had a balcony (room 514) with a sun bed and table & chairs. Air con was very welcome and worked well. Breakfast was payable at €9 each but unfortunately we didn’t have time to eat any. We were dropped to the metro which the hotel paid for and that was a great help to us with cases and kids. Located in a good part of Piraeus and only a few mins from Pasalimani which is great place to eat out or shop. All in all, great value, lovely staff and would go back again on our next visit. Thank you and recommended to all.
