Achillion Hotel Piraeus

Great little hotel next to port. Helen was lovely as I arrived quite late and she ordered me some food to eat. Lovely little room. Port 5 min walk away for ferry to islands. I was going to Syros so it was a great place to stay before I got the ferry. So thanks Helen !!!

Very convenient location if walking to Port Piraeus to catch ferries or using the metro. We stayed 2 nights. No parking if you arrive in a car. We had to unload our luggage by the roadside. Since we were returning our rented car after we checked in, it was not an issue for us. Nadia at the reception was very helpful and friendly. She helped me with my luggage since we had to quickly unload by the roadside.

No drinking water provided. Would have been nice to have at least 2 bottles. We also have to surrender our room key at the reception whenever we leave the hotel. That said, there is always someone at the reception. Just that we were used to holding our room key wherever we went.

Location and price. It was very close to the port and for where we were going to catch our ferry the next morning. The room we had was large enough for a family of four and had everything we needed. This is a budget hotel, and for a one night stay and an early morning ferry, it was exactly what we needed. Added bonus. The person working the front desk the night we arrived was amazing. So helpful. Sorry, I cannot remember his name.

There was no view, infact our window looked at a brick wall and wires. It was not an issue as we were there for only one short night, and the room was clean.

The host was very warm and welcoming and very helpful with my fledgling attempts to speak any Greek. He was like a big welcoming hug from Greece, and the first of many. There was a little elevator to take me and my suitcases up to the second floor. The host also gave me directions to a FANTASTIC 24 hour bakery, which was like nothing I have EVER seen and was well within walking distance of the motel. I am travelling alone and felt quite safe walking to the bakery for a coffee and an excellent home-made ice cream. The motel was also within walking distance of the port, where I was to meet the ferry for my trip to the islands the next morning.

I can't think of anything- it was an overnight stay in a small room close to the port, exactly what I was expecting and what I had paid for. The generosity of spirit from the host was an unexpected and lovely surprise.

Very close to metro station with a direct connection to the airport (M3) as well as walking distance to the port. The room was small and basic but one has privacy and also a bathroom and shower in the room which was good for the price. Staff was friendly. 24-hour reception which makes it easy if one is arriving late in the evening or checking out early morning. Wifi was working fine. Toiletries and towels are included. A fridge was available in the room.

The bed was one step higher than the rest of the room. One has to be careful while going to the bathroom in the night. The window overlooked what seemed to be a back alley. But overall, not much to complain about for the price and I am satisfied.

Staff are on reception 24 hours a day. I requested a balcony and was super chuffed that we were given one - it's got no furniture but so nice to have the outside space. Only the 4th floor and above have them so I wasn't expecting one. The shower was hot and powerful, the bed was big, the fridge was cold when we arrived, and the location is great. They also stored our luggage for us for a few hours after we left. Would absolutely stay again and wouldn't consider anywhere else, especially in this price range and location.

Nothing, it was way better than we expected.

Stayed a couple nights before having to catch a ferry. This was a very convenient location. About a 5 minute walk to the ferry. The staff was very friendly!

Very strong smell from the hallway. Not that it smelled bad but it might have been their air freshener and it was very strong. Also, just a heads up for people traveling with large luggage; while they do have an elevator, there are still about 10 steps you have to take to get to the elevator. Just something to keep in mind in case you can't carry heavy luggage.

Achillion Hotel is a reliable accommodation in a great location, not very far from ferries, two metro lines, and the NAT stop of the x96 airport bus. I have booked it several times, knowing that it will be a comfortable place to recover from flights or ferries, at a very reasonable cost. Clean, good facilities, WiFi and hot water are great, friendly and efficient people at the desk, open 24 hours.

Can’t think of anything negative. Exactly what I wanted.

The location was accessible to all amenities by walking distance. Near the tram station and restaurants. The staff are all friendly and helpful. There are only three rooms per floor and they are all clean, simply furnished compared to big known hotels but okay for a short stay. You have to bring your own toiletries though as the ones they supply may not be according to your preference.

We found the hotel quite easily. We arrived in Piraeus by bus from the airport in the middle of the night. The google earth research and printouts we did prior to travelling proved very helpful.

We didn’t realise that the bedroom window was open when we went to bed. It was very noisy in the street below the hotel at 4 am. We got out of bed and closed the window. Was it our fault or the fault of the hotel that the window was open... you decide.
