Leonardo Hotel Völklingen-Saarbrücken

Perfect from the moment I arrived, the warm hospitality of the hotel staff was nothing short of excellent. The service was prompt, personable, and professional. They attended to every request with a genuine willingness to ensure the utmost comfort for their guests.The room I stayed in was an aesthetic delight, elegantly designed, spotless, providing a sense of peace and tranquility.The bed was undeniably one of the highlights of my stay. It was extremely comfortable and plush. The sauna it was well-maintained, clean, and perfectly heated.I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a peaceful and rejuvenating stay. Best wishes to the night receptionist, slightly older gentleman, made me feel very comfortable. I will definitely return, and incorporate stays at this hotel in my trips.

This hotel chain is one of our favourites while visiting Germany, this hotel was good and the breakfast very nice. We had free parking therefore that's a huge advantage while enjoying a road trip.

The only down side was the bathroom, in our room it wasn't possible to close the door all the way and you had a small gap between the bedroom and the bathroom, we found some hairs in the floor, the faucet was broken and you had to handle it careful. They are minor details but it was the first time after staying in several hotels from the same chain.

Good hotel, very clean, comfy beds, walk-in shower, free parking space. Nice bar and breakfast room, with terrace and a wonderful view, completed with good coffee. Would surely stay again. Highly recommended! (The Italian restaurant down the road "La vecchia Osteria", highly recommended as well ;-))

The knob of the shower faucet was so hard to turn, not possible with bare hands, we needed a towel to do this. Breakfast could have a little more choice, and the orange juice was quite bad quality (I guess some DIY stuff instead of the regular concentrated type). We couldn't use the AC because it was turned off centrally.

This was probably the top experience on booking. I have seen many stunning places, but I didnt expect much from this hotel - but it was a 5***** experience! It was purely luxurious, from the large rooms, large bed, extremely comfy, the beautiful furniture, the bathroom, design, real glasses, water in the room, coffee in the room. Everything feels like walking in a Hilton, and im not really kidding. Didnt expect this at all. This overexceeded my expectations, and we definitely come back.

We have been using Leonardo Hotels in different locations and really like their concept. The rooms are spacious, well appointed and nicely designed. The bed has a comfortable mattress and the bathroom has a generous shower. The breakfast buffet has a large variety from yoghurt and fruit to eggs and bacon. And the coffee is good! Overall the hotel provides excellent value for money.

It is only a small thing but the website needs to be corrected. It states that Restaurant and Bar are open "daily" You have to scroll down to find under opening hours that Restaurant and Bar are only open from Monday to Friday and closed at weekends. "Daily' means every day!

The hotel's location is ideal for a pitstop if you are on a road trip. It is situated near the highway and accessible 24/7. The staff was friendly and provided helpful information about the area and nearby events. The breakfast met expectations.

The room looked nice, but one of the curtains was damaged, and they could have paid more attention to the shower floor and edges. I would say some points for improvement.

On our roadtrip through Europe, this hotel far exceeded our expectations. It is a fabulous hotel en route to Austria and Italy with 1st class facilities. The staff are friendly, helpful and very professional. The food and service in the restaurant was excellent. Volklingen is a UNESCO world heritage site but otherwise appeared to offer very little in the way of restaurants and bars so the restaurant at the hotel was invaluable. Highly highly recommended.

Everything was excellent.

Bedroom good size and modern facilities. Breakfast excellent variety and quality. Dinner good quality fair price though limited menu. Very much a good business hotel rather than a 'holiday' hotel. Good parking. Dog friendly. Nice and quiet internally in room and externally in its location.

Watch out for the extra charges. 15 euros per night for a small dog! 7.50 euros for a 75cl bottle of sparkling water with your dinner!

We liked the location. It is an easy walk downtown. Parking is big and spacoius. In the room we liked the quality of the beds, the bathroom was well equipped. The tea kettle was provided and 2 types of teabags as well.

Unfortunately the carpet was badly stained. The restaurant did not offer any quality food for supper, only standard bar food like burgers with french fries, so frozen foods defrosted and deep fried for you. We expected more. Breakfast choices were not that great either.

On the edge of town in a nice area, with views back towards the town. Modern, clean hotel, with ample free parking. Nice bar and restaurant (see below). Comfortable bedroom, nicely decorated. Kettle, tea & coffee.

The staff were lovely, but seemed lethargic and not really customer focussed. We waited for a receptionist for about 5-10 minutes, which was not welcoming. The restaurant required pre booking and according to information in the lift, it was closed, together with the bar on Saturday & Sunday. considering the lack of places in the town, this would be a problem for guests. Though the bar & restaurant didn’t seem busy, we waited for some time for drinks. The breakfast was poor considering the excellent choices we had enjoyed at Leonardo Augsburg the night before. What a contrast in hotels. The manager could do with paying more attention to their guests, sorry.
