Leonardo Hotel Offenbach Frankfurt

The Leonardo Hotel is lovely. Great facilities, clean and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Some of them don't have fantastic knowledge of English but that's ok. The rooms are spacious with a nice coffee pod machine (but needs many more pods in the room! And some milk). Bathroom etc was large and clean. The restaurant is outstanding. The food was really super and well priced. We ate there both nights that we stayed as there was no reason to go elsewhere. The staff were wonderful. Breakfast was extensive with everything from muesli and croissant through to bacon, sausages and 3 different types of egg. There is a grab and go in the lobby for quick drinks and snacks. The car park is large with plenty of spots. Costs €18 per day, but you can come and go as you please. The hotel is a 15 minute flat walk to the train station and in a few minutes you can be at the Hauptbahnhof. We will certainly stay here again if we come back to Frankfurt.

Nothing very much really It isn't located in central Frankfurt but we knew that when we booked and it's no trouble to get the train. A taxi cost us about €25 from the city centre back to the hotel, in peak hour. The only thing that they could maybe improve is the pillows, they were way too soft but we are finding that all over Germany this trip. Maybe have some options in the room for those who need orthopaedic pillows or something firmer.

Practical, clean

- Parking fee is a bit too expensive and should generally be included in the room price for 1 night-standers or weekend bookers, as street parking (alternative) is generally free overnight & weekends anyway. - The seweage needs to be checked more often as it was obviously smelly from the firstly opening the door. Reception promised to solve, hope they do (Room 107, I believe we had) - Called reception about not enough towels in the room (honest mistake, probably), promised to come back later due to "I'm alone tonight and there is a big crowd at the reception", which never happened and we had to use our own towel.

We decided at the last minute to travel closer to Frankfurt Airport to avoid traffic before our flight. We were extremely happy to find the Leonardo Hotel. Our room was exactly as pictured--and very clean and comfortable. We had a good buffet dinner-and the staff was friendly and gracious, even though they had a very large tour group in the hotel that was enjoying their dinner as well. Breakfast was very good. Check out time was even a little late which made our travel to the airport even easier. We would highly recommend.

We were not able to investigate the area, but it did not appear to be near any restaurants or sites of interest.

AIR CONDITIONING that worked... . Room was above average size, at end of hallway so quet, Breakfast was good. 3 coffee machine so all good, location was all I was after.. Shower room was a good size a few English TV channels so all good. long length beds

The drain in the shower was popping every time someone flushed a toilet or ran water, so had to use towels to cover shower drain....Beds could or been a bit more comfy, 18 Euro parking for not a secure parking location, as anyone could of walked from the river to car park without any issue. other than those few things nothing really. I would come back and try another room on another floor .

We stayed here last-minute after we had to change plans (sadly, the AirBnB we had booked was dirty and not suited to toddlers). The staff were friendly and helpful, finding us a perfect room despite our sudden request. The room we were in was ideal for travelling with an infant - we could put her down to sleep and still socialise in the separate living room alcove.

The reception area unfortunately smelled like cigarette smoke because all the smokers stood right outside the front door to smoke! A designated smoking area a little further away from the door would fix it.

This hotel chain is proving itself to be brilliant and much better than the traditional ones. Very good value for the money, always good options for bar and food. Staff is always gentle and willying to help you.

Third time I use their services and, as far, I don't have any negative comments to do about Leonardo Hotel chain (and believe, nothing to do with my name :)). Hope they can keep up with the good service, installations and competitive price.

Very close to the train station with just 5-minute walk. The river behind the hotel is a nice place to take a leisurely walk. The location is very quiet and peaceful. Hotel staffs are responsive and helpful.

The neighbourhood is primarily corporate buildings or factories, so there was nothing to do or shop around the hotel. You will need to take the train to other places for restaurants, shops and other services. The breakfast was ok, but that was it. It was a disappointment since there were no other options around.

Parking: Parking for a whole day cost us 10 euros, a fair price. There is an open parking lot 200 meters from the hotel (on the way to the train station) and free street parking. The hotel is located in the city of Offenbach, a 7-8 minute walk by train and then 5 stops to the center of Frankfurt. A daily train ticket cost 12 euros for 5 people. There is a food truck and a restaurant for Asian food close to the Macdolens hotel that works 23 hours a day.

There was no door between the area where the parents slept and the area where the children slept. A half-liter bottle of water cost us 7 euros at the hotel reception, simply an exorbitant price. There is a McDonald's close to the hotel, a food truck and an Asian food restaurant that you can buy from for 1.5 euros per bottle.

I liked the spacious room, everything is new. Coffee machine, carbonated water, refrigerator. A rich breakfast

Did not like the location,far from restaurants, shops. If you do not want to pay 18€ for parking, then it is difficult to find where to park the car. But we were lucky. The receptionists communicated with each other and did not pay attention to us, did not even say hello. The room is cold, the air conditioner is locked,so you can't change anything, that is, warm it up. Pillows are also hard as stone.

Comfortable bed and nice size room with good shower. Great selection at breakfast.

Only one person during peak check-in time caused massive delays. Our room was also not ready at the time of check-in and had to wait an hour after normal check-in before we could go to our room. When we got to the room air conditioning unit did not work and maintenance could not fix the problem. Strangely during check-in, the clerk joked and said that she hopes our air conditioner works. They at least moved us to a different room.
