Leonardo Hotel Munich City Olympiapark

1. location. it was near the Olympic park and inside the local residence area. tram and bus station is very close, which is very convenient for me to get to any place in Munich. and two local supermarkets are nearby. also nice cafe and pub, and restaurant bakery.. everything around. 2. quiet even though the hotel is next to Big Avenue, since my room is directed to the opposite side, it is very quiet. and we have a small terrace too 3. staffs Every staff (reception, breakfast corner, bar in the evening, etc.) was friendly and helpful with all of the requests I had. 4. breakfast The breakfast costs 15 euros and is free for my 8-year-old daughter. it is a really good price. For me every selection was good. and the staffs filled up the food as soon as it went down. my daughter liked Pancake corner

It's a reasonable walk from the hotel to the Old Town, but the hotel is a stone throw away from the tram line so it's a great balance of price against accessibility. The room (in fact the whole hotel) was clean and the decor modern, and we even had a balcony (unexpected) - great place to sit, enjoy a radler, and the sunset. The bathroom had a good sized shower and was as good as we could expect. There are lots of places to eat (and several supermarkets) nearby too.

We were asked if we needed our room serviced each day, and we decided not to (saving the environment and all that). At the same time, running low on coffee, cups, clean towels and other consumables I asked reception if they could arrange servicing for our second-to-last day. They scribbled it down and... nothing happened the next day - I had to go down and ask for refills and ended up having to grab them myself! Otherwise it was great.

The spacious room had air conditioning, the breakfast had many options, and the facilities were clean and polished. But probably the highlight of our stay is meeting Roger, the hotel's bartender. Having been in Munich for 30 years, he knows the city by heart and as a bartender by trade, he knows how to make the best drinks. We recommend his Mai Tai! Giuseppe di Fiori and Tanya were both the most accommodating reception staff members too. They've made us feel like Leonardo was our home in Munich. We will surely be back!

The place can only be reached by tram when using public transport (aside from taxi). Extra toiletries weren't readily provided (but the utility staff happily provided them upon request).

We stayed in the hotel for only one night, but the experience was very great. The room had a massive terrace, and we felt that we have so much more space. The Italian receptionist was very nice and gave us some great advice about the city. We loved the dog of the hotel, I think her name is Maya, she was very lovely and came to say "Hi" on arrival. The operations manager, Mouamen Hassanein, gave us the best impression because he was very helpful and dedicated some time to talk to us, which was lovely. It was nice to hear from him about his passion for hospitality, and we believe this is the hotel's value: passion and sincere service. I also want to mention the breakfast, it was really great. All the staff of the hotel was very nice and spoke several languages. My friend and I, both being from the hospitality industry, loved the experience in this hotel, and we would love to come back.

very nice and helpful checkin, Lady gave advice how to get around and was patient and efficient. Same experience at check-out. She definitely enhanced our stay there.

As most of munich during large events it was a bit overpriced for the standard of Hotel. The bar was hopelessly understaffed for the influx of visitors returning to the hotel and there was a line through the lobby with +30 Minutes wait. If its known that there is an even that ends at 10 (Prices doubled for the occasion) then sufficient staffing should be expected

Pretty decent, run-of-the-mill facility, very close to a tram station making the whole city quite accessible in spite of it being far from the city center. A nice little balcony with a sweet courtyard view made for some charming morning coffees…

Room was a little small but comfy. Coffee, tea were not replenished daily unless we were explicit about it & picked them up ourselves from the reception. The empty water bottle was never replaced with a new one. Called reception asking where were the disposable slippers & was told they’re extra & cost 5€ a pair to be paid in cash. I agreed but the smallest bill I had was a 10, so the employee who showed up at the door said every trip he makes to a room he’s supposed to charge 5€, so it wouldn’t make sense to go back down & bring me the change since he would be then required to charge me another 5€ for that trip too!!! Told him to keep the slippers & get out of my face! 🤣

Nothing not to like here. Great sized room with views of the Olympiapark which was a 10/15 min walk away and the BMW museum. Location was great as tram station to town is a 2 minute walk from the front door and takes about 15 mins to Marienplatz. Room was cleaned to a high standard every day with fresh bedding and towels as well. Would recommend to anyone who doesn't want to be right in the centre of town

The only issue I had was the bed and pillows being very soft but that is just down to personal preference as I prefer a hard mattress. Otherwise nothing to complain about

Great location close to the Olympiapark and easy public transport access to the city center. Fantastic breakfast with many choices and friendly staff.

Though there was a slight issue with our booking that the staff were great with dealing with, the "third" bed in our room was incredibly uncomfortable. We expected it to be a smaller additional bed but it was a fold out camp bed, incredibly loud with every movement. There was also no bartender in the bar whenever we wanted to go.

It was right on the light rail into city center and the train station. The room was clean and was cleaned every day. The shower was large and water was warm. It was a large room with plenty of space to spread out and included a desk and hot pot for morning coffee. The price was quite reasonable.

As in many European motels the queen bed was two full beds pushed together. One or the other of us was always falling in the crack between the two beds.

Staff is nice and very helpful. Check in and check out were smooth and fast. Rooms were large and clean. Close to Olympic Park and BMW world. not crowded area.

Breakfast needs to improve. Underground parking is narrow for the van, and it had problems with opening when getting out. Parking is not free, 15 euro per day. Room Price is slightly higher than what it really deserves. No laundry nor iron is available even inside the room.
