Hotel Prinz

The location of this hotel is a little bit off from arterial streets and public transport (especially during the renovation of tramway on Regerstraße in 2023) but it resulted in quieter surrounding, which we quite liked. The Museuminsel and Old Town were still easily accessible by foot. And the excellent public transport system in Munich was not that far away when you needed to go to more distant places. Our rooms in Hotel Prinz were comfortable and staff very friendly and helpful. Free minibar in room was a nice perk for refreshing yourself after a day of sightseeing or shopping. The breakfast was just wonderful: rich and tasty. It also varied from day to day and on the final day, when we had to leave very early we got breakfast packed for us!

Cannot really state anything negative about this fine place.

The maid saved our day. We had asked for the hotel to get us a cab to pick us up for an early morning flight home. The following day, no cab. We asked the housekeeping lady to help us call a cab. She did this immediately and our cab got us to the airport on time. The staff is very nice and accommodating. Room is comfortable, our first hotel that did not get the entire bathroom wet from showers. Cleaned our room daily. Breakfast smelled so good every morning. Location is off the beaten path, quiet, comfortable. And I loved the fan!

Hot. Germany hotels must be this way. They supplied an electric fan though which was a good friend to have.

The location was great and the property is very clean and tidy. The hotel was so friendly and welcoming and we wanted to pay particular thanks to the staff especially Anton and Merdad (apologies if we spelled it wrong!) who were so good to us when we needed to extend our stay due to heavy snow and cancelled flights they did so much to reassure us and make our trip very enjoyable. We will certainly return to the hotel in the future

The WiFi needs to be improved in the hotel- we were on the second floor and had no WiFi signal at all- not ideal as I had to work for a little while there

Upon arriving at the hotel 5 hours before check in time, staff allowed us to deposit our bags in the reception area so we could go explore Munich. At check in time, unfortunately our room was slightly delayed being ready, so we were given complimentary drinks in the bar area which was a nice gesture. We have booked a King Room and we were surprised to be given a key to two room ( 411 / 410 ). Upon entering the room it was apparent that we had a large room which was actually 2 cojoined rooms. We had a living room / double bedroom / bathroom in room 411 , and by using the internal through door we had a separate single bedroom which also had a small office desk and TV. This side of the room also had its own separate shower and toilet. In both rooms, we had a free mini bar with some local beers and soft drinks ( fanta / coke ) and there were some German biscuits and Haribos. The view was lovely from room 411 as it overlooked a park area which was facing towards Munich centre. Having been really lucky with the snow fall it was very picturesque. Even though the weather was a times -13 , the rooms were very well heated. At one point we actually had to open the windows at night as we were so warm. Breakfast was served between 0730 - 1030 and consisted of a traditional continental breakfast with meats, cheeses, pastries etc etc. We absolutely loved this hotel, even though its about a 20min walk into Marienplatz where the Xmas market is held , its a little gem off the beaten track. We will definitely be booking again, so thank you to the staff at Hotel Prinz.

There wasn't really anything to dislike but the only things we would like to have had available in the room were Tea making facilities. My partner and I enjoy a cup of Tea and we found waiting for Tea at breakfast a little bit too long for us.. an absolutely minor issue. One other point, again absolutely being picky, was access to a Smart TV so we could watch a movie at night. Unfortunately the only channel I was able to watch in English was the BBC News.

Location was very conveniently a few hundred meters from downtown Munich and the hotel has some parking space in the garage, which is great. We received a bigger room than we booked, and it was quite spacious and comfortable. The hotel is overall quite nicely furnished.

Breakfast was good, although a bit more variety would be appreciated, e.g. some fresh fruit, more types of bread and cakes, more types of muesli and seeds... One blind and one curtain of the room were slightly damaged, which prevented us from sleeping in the dark.

It's a very nice hotel! It's simple but has everything you need. Its location is great: it is very close to the city center but in a quiet and pleasant neighborhood. My room was clean and spacious, with a wonderful view of the nearby garden. The breakfast was awesome (with a funny robot that collected dishes), and the stuff was super nice and helpful. I would stay again.

There was no air conditioning, but unfortunately, it's currently the norm in Germany. The reception was NOT open 24/7, which made me a bit nervous when checking in. It's something to pay attention to.

I recommend it. I was there for a weekend. The hotel has a good location. It takes about 30 minutes to walk to the city centre, but it's a very interesting way into the city. Bus stops 52, 68 are a 5-minute walk from the hotel. On the other side of the hotel is a beautiful park. The Deutsches Museum can be reached in a few minutes. My view out of the window was to the street and this park, right into a green tree. I enjoyed the view. The street is very quiet at night. Single room - small but comfortable. Mini bar was included in to my price. Breakfest. I liked. The choice is simple but everything is there, the food and juice is fresh. Half an hour before breakfast time, the choice is little less.

The staff was very helpful. The neighborhood was quiet, except for chirping birds at 4am. Residential, nice area. Walkable to lots of cool pubs and restaurants. Walkable to old town, but barely. Room size was great. Nice separation, everything was clean and tidy. Iron was available on request. Free welcome drinks in the mini fridge! Nice touch.

Seemed like the hotel was mostly empty, so a little too quiet. Didn't try the breakfast. Bed was wasn't uncomfortable, but could have been better.

The breakfast was really nice, variety of dishes to choose from, fruits, vegetables, different milk types for cereals, apfelstrudel and cakes. Wine was also offered, though we didn't try it. The location is like 20 min walk from Marienplatz and the old city. Beds were comfortable.

The room was ok though a bit smaller than we expected. Also no shampoos or other similar staff was in the bathroom, which was inconvenient. In the morning the traffic outside was a bit noisy.

We stayed there just one night, but it was truly exceptional. It is located near a park and close to the city centre, but in a very quiet area. The room, including bathroom, was spacious and very clean, the bed was comfy, there was a mini-bar fridge (soft drinks and a beer were included in the price) and a TV. The decor was elegant and that was the only hotel I've seen where the bed was covered with actual blanket, soft and comfy, not those horrible counterpanes, that are very hard and unpleasant to the touch. The breakfast was amazing, a huge variety of food and everything very tasty. The staff was very polite and welcoming.

The pillows were quite uncomfortable, but to be honest I haven't chacked if there was an alternative available.
