Hotel an der Oper

The location is excellent. The hotel is 400 meters from Marienplatz and access to U-Bahn and S-Bahn. It is easily walkable to the English Garden and other tourist The neighborhood is full of restaurants and bars. The hotel is amazing for the price. It has obviously undergone recent renovations, and everything was clean, shiny and worked perfectly. The room was plenty big; the bathroom was excellent. The staff was friendly, helpful and a pleasure.

The only negative is something beyond the hotel's control. It is on a very narrow street with 5-story buildings on each side. This effectively creates a canyon that amplifies noise. There are at least 3 restaurants/bars on the street. When people step out of a bar and into the street at 1 am to smoke and chat, their talking echoes around. If your room is on the front of the hotel, you cannot sleep with your windows open no matter how pleasant the weather because of this noise

Location is great. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. I ordered a one bedroom apartment with fully equipped Kitchen. The apartment was spacious with room for everything we need, well equipped kitchen accessories. I was quite surprised how quiet the room is, indeed a very well done job of outside voice isolation. I ordered 4 nights with a breakfast each morning. We attended only to 3 breakfasts due to personal reasons. During Check-out, the agent asked me how many breakfast we had and deduct from he bill the one we missed. I do appreciate such a behavior.

The facility is a bit old and it seems as if it was not planned to be a hotel. There is only one quite tiny elevator for both the guests and the staff. The staff always go out of the elevator if they see a guest, however, this is something that should be thought. The entrance is quite tiny, there is not a "real" lobby for the hotel. I usually do not use "Mini Bar" because their high prices relatively to visit a "Seven - Eleven" style convenience stores. Unfortunately, although the very good location there was not a closed-by convenience store during late night hours.

This hotel is in the perfect location to access the Christmas markets in Munich. It's very close to the Hofbrauhaus and other breweries/restaurants. The room was small but well equipped with stocked mini bar/fridge and complimentary water. The decor was lovely and the street was relatively quiet at night. I loved that there were multiple pillows!

The bed was too firm for our liking, but that's a personal preference thing. Also, there was no way to control the temp in the room (at least that we could figure out) and it was very warm. We had to open the windows to cool the room down.

The hotel is very well located near one of the main plazas (Marienplatz). At the same time, it's on a street that is very quiet. The room was great in terms of space, comfort and cleanness. The breakfast was also very good with the right amount of options.

We were leaving by the end of the day. We are a family of four and we booked two rooms. We asked to have a late check-out in order to keep one room but it wasn't possible. It's not a big thing (and we were informed well in advance) but it was the only "not so good thing".

This hotel was perfect for us, amazing location in downtown Munich. The rooms were clean, with all the amenities you could need. The beds were comfortable, and the shower was the best I have had in Europe so far and that says a lot. The front desk lady was so helpful in giving us directions and helping us around town. For rent scooters, bikes and trams are all right outside the door. Would definitely stay there again.

Nothing with the hotel, just an FYI, things close early on Saturday and Sunday most things are closed except restaurants which open up later than usual. So no markets are open to purchase drinks or snacks.

Very nice room, with a comfy bed, a closet with a bathrobe and a safe. One complementary bottle of water. Payed minibar. Big television, good wifi. High standard bathroom with very nice shower. Air conditioning in the bedroom (it was set to 17 degrees when I arrived, which was too cold for me, but it was very easy to change the temperature and get it more comfortable). There was also heating, that you could turn on in case you needed it. Bedroom was on the second floor next to the elevator, but still was quiet.

The bedroom curtains could block the light better. In the summer the sun comes out very early and it would be nicer to have a less bright bedroom. Otherwise it was okay.

Location is quite simply 5 out of 5. I doubt there is a better hotel that's close to so many restaurants, bars and luxury shops. The room is a perfect size for a small family. The beds are super comfortable.

The price doesn't reflect the room or hotel, unfortunately. Carry your bags yourself or take the tiny one-person elevator. The room is very very old and dated. Heating took over an hour to warm the room. I completely understand this is a boutique hotel and you are paying for location. But at 450 Euros per night? Being further away and taking taxis would have been far better. Also, it doesn't state this on the website but every single room has two single beds pushed together. No double beds. Again at 450 Euros a night?

Location Staff Clean Safe Rooms are not too small For parking, there’s a huge public parking that is 2 minutes away for 3.5 euros per hour. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here. And I would come back again if I ever visit Munich. بالمختصر اسكن ولا تشيل هم

The mattress are too soft if you have back problems. Otherwise it was perfect.

The hotel was in a great location, only about a 5 minute walk from Marienplatz. The staff were nice and the rooms were nice and clean, there was a bath which I loved and the beds were comfortable, the pillows were great. The wifi worked really well and I would stay again.

The rooms are beautiful, and the apartment with kitchen was absolutely perfect for my family. Beautifully set out, warm, well equipped, comfortable and practical. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times. We loved it! Tobias was exceptionally kind and helpful.

Tiny little gripe that the single complimentary bottle of water in each room was only given on day 1 of a 4 night stay…
