Hotel ADRIA München

It was my second time in this hotel. I had a different room this time which was even better than the first time. Here's my first review: I chose this hotel because of its proximity to some place that I needed to be at the next day. Great location (4-minute ride by U4 from the Munich Central Station). You can walk to Englisher Garten in 5 minutes. 10 to 15-minute walk to Frauenkirche. Very friendly staff. Very clean room (mini-fridge/kettle/coffee and tea/a little sewing kit)/shower (body lotion/hygienic set/shower cap)/bathroom. Fresh breakfast (warm and cold) from 6:30 to 10:30.

Another great stay for us! We had a great stay here. We had a top floor room so nice and quiet. The beds were comfortable, and we had three rooms for the four of us which was great, with a TV in each room as well. There was also a bottle of water for free in the room, and we were also able to get some laundry done as well as we'd been travelling for some time and run out of clothes, the laundry service was same day as long as it was at reception by 10am and it was cleaned well. The rooms were clean and tidy, the showers were slightly lacking with power but were nice and warm. The breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice, such as meats, yoghurt, cheeses, toast, waffles, fruit, sausages, coffees and juices. The staff were great to deal with if we had an issue. The location was good too as it was within walking distance of Marienplatz and the tram. Overall a great stay.

The only downside was the beds were under a sloping ceiling so we had to be careful not to hit our heads!

Located in the Old city its in easy walking distance to the centre and main attractions. There are plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby and the UBahn is very close. The bedroom was immaculately clean , the bed comfortable and the area quiet. . We didn't eat breakfast there so I can't comment on food. It's a pity it doesn't have It's own bar where you could enjoy a drink before retiring for the night. Overall we would readily choose Hotel Adria Munchen again

As mentioned above, a bar would be a welcome addition. Otherwise everything was wonderful

Hotel Adria was perfect for our needs. The location was ideal and convenient to public transport and to the alte stadt areas. We could walk to the Ubahn or tram, but could also walk to the residenz area if we chose. The neighborhood was quiet and yet had a number of excellent restaurants. Staff was helpful and responsive, and helped us with purchasing group transit passes and booking taxis. Even breakfast was great! The room was beautiful and comfortable with updated amenities and an amazing shower.

The room was a little small for three people, but it was lovely and very clean and comfortable--and at least could accommodate 3 people, which was hard for us to find.

The hotel staff and accommodations were excellent. We had a family suite so we had a large double bed and two twins for our kids. We had a group of two families travelling together, and we were able to have rooms right next door to theirs. The mini fridge had beverages you could buy as well as room for anything you brought, which is very nice.

It wasn't their fault, but the elevator was broken both on the day we arrived and the day we left. It meant lugging up and down the stairs in those days. My husband also has an issue with stairs so it was very hard on him. There was also no A/C. The weather was cool at night, and the hotel provided fans so it was fine. However, if it is hot, you would probably want A/C.

The staff was exceptionally friendly. It was our daughter's first holiday abroad and they really gave their best to make it special. We stayed in the family room which was spacious and quiet. The layout was perfect for us as it has a separate room with two single beds where our daughter slept at night. Breakfast was very nice, nothing was missing. The location of the hotel was great - 3 minutes to the ubahn and 3minute walk to the Englisch Garden and Eisbach. Lehel is a very beautiful district itself as well.

We would have liked to have a bar / restaurant in the hotel. However, having said that, there are lots of eating opportunities around the hotel.

Everything was great. The location made it easy to move around the city. Rooms were competitively priced at the time of booking and proved to be excellent value for money. Not super modern, but clean and tidy and perfectly adequate for a short stay. Breakfast had a good selection to cater for all tastes. Staff were friendly and helpful and didn't mind hosting our excitable party of nine at all. All of our group were very happy with everything the hotel offered.

Nothing

The hotel was easy to find and the location was great. It's 5 mins walk from a train station so arriving into Munich via the HBF wasn't a problem. It's an easy walk to the main city area, and on rainy days they have umbrellas to borrow (which I used on a few occasions). The staff were friendly and it was a nice touch having all the brochures at reception with local recommendations.

The room was small, but it was what I booked so overall there was nothing to complain about.

The reception is open 24 hours allowing you to leave the key and retrieve it upon return. The location seemed tricky to get to at first, but once we realized its proximity to the Christmas Markets, Odeonplatz and Marienplatz, (and learned the shortcuts), we completely appreciated it. It was also good to book on the front and back end of the trip as we knew what to expect. We stayed 3 nights on the front and 3 nights on the back end.

The elevator is interesting as it goes up to half floors forcing you to carry a suitcase up or down to your floor. This may be difficult for those not strong enough for the challenge.
