Bold Hotel München Giesing

We liked the Scandinavian room style with high ceiling. Windows were stretching from floor till ceiling. There is a floor heating in the bathroom. There is a small kitchen within the room with essential utensils (pots, plates, glasses, cups, cutleries). Staff were very friendly and helped us with any request we had. We got crib for our baby. There is continental breakfast with variety of food. Hotel can be reached by S-ban and U-ban from Giesing station. There are Aldi , Lidle, DM shops in vicinity of the hotel. There is a laundry washing available at the hotel - ask the reception for detergent and how to get there, use coins to start machines.

Internet connection can be used for checking emails only. It is not suitable for video calls. We were okay with that.

the rooms were comfortable and had openable windows so could access fresh air. There was good clothing storage. the staff were mostly helpful. The location was ok for us but it is approx 1km walk to the station.

the initial check in seemed to be an inconvenience to the staff member and not very welcoming. As English speaking and first time visitors to Munich we were not offered orientation maps location of nearby stations etc. the room had a small kitchenette including a kettle however no coffee or tea supplied. you should remember to bring your own. the area we stayed in had been recently painted and had a strong paint smell. Thankfully we could leave the window ajar to gain fresh air to the room.

Breakfast good and tasty, warm meals available. Ready at 6:30 am on weekdays. The location is ok, a Lidl and a DM outlet about 5 minutes on foot from the hotel. The S-Bahn (suburban trains) / U-Bahn (underground trains) station located ca. 10 minutes on foot, to the Munich central train station about 20 minutes from the hotel.

The hotel has a strict policy regarding a check-in at 15:00 (3 pm), an earlier check-in not possible. Even the room was not ready at 15:00, no apology. The room was located on the ground floor, a lot of bangs at 5 / 6 am in the morning, noisy environment. Not safe as the window was next to open (not secured) area). The lighting was strange, the room was dark. Only one chair in the room for two people.

Courteous, friendly reception staff. We had a small problem with our bed (Room 315) on one evening when the base plate moved while sitting on the bed. The young man on the reception desk was very prompt in coming to the room. offered to fix the problem or move room, but together we fixed the problem. For some reason the base had become dislodged so it was relatively easy to reposition it and we then had a comfortable sleep - and no further subsequent issues. In a way it was quite funny, but it would be a good idea to check that the base plates below the mattresses are securely screwed down to the ledges on which they are placed. Please convey compliments to the chap who helped us then - and always.

The hotel is very close to the city center, very well connected to public transportation and there are a lot of convenience stores like supermarkets and bakeries in the vicinity. Additionally, if you have access to a car, there is the option of parking in the hotel, which will cost you € 10, or you could park for free on the street with no problems whatsoever. The rooms are rather small, but, if you only use the room for getting some rest, it's one of those things that will get overlooked. But, on the other hand, the beds are super comfy and quiet. All in all, it was great value and I will certainly be coming back again when in Munich.

Good location-10 min walk to the nearest S-/U-bahn station, which takes you within 10 min to city center. Good room, with min facilities (even no wardrobe, just hangers), but enough for min comfort. Good breakfast, good reception staff, 24 hour bar, nice little garden at the back.

Some rooms are quite noisy as overlooking the street, so we had to change the first room. The lifts were broken on the weekend, so we had to go two floors up - ok for young and mobile, but disaster for elderly or young couples with kids. The building and interior are a bit depressing-a lot of grey/dark colours, may have a negative effect on some people.

Very friendly staff and very helpful. good breakfast - everything you need. Spacious superior rooms with balcony/terrace + kitchen with big fridge in the top floor. Pet friendly. Me and my dog had a good time. Nice bathroom, nice shower Good coffee and alternative milks available ✅

The little kitchen was good enough to do what you want to do, the equipment is very basic though. The HDMI port of the TV is not accessible because the TV is screwed very close to the wall..

We like the breakfasts the most. They are very tasty and there are a lot to choose. The staff is very kind and helpful. There is very clean. you can park a car in the inside garage (it costs 10 euro per day)

In our room was very dark. We felt like we were living in the badger hole. the room needs better lightening. Besides there was very hot. we set all devices to low temperature but anyway there was so hot that we had to live with open windows. in the hotel they want clients to pay by cards. they were not happy that we wanted to pay 20 euro by cash, but eventually they accepted it.

The personal was polite and friendly. The room was clean and the internet worked perfectly. I managed to park my car outside for free which was also a plus. Moreover, you have a supermarket 200m away and the subway can be reached within a few minutes.

I would have expected to find more utensile in the kitchen. You have the strict minimum and this was too little to me. I haven't taken the breakfast because of its price of 16,70€

I booked the Bold Deluxe Studio for my business trip and spent 6 nights there. I was very happy with my choice. The studio is big enough for two people, it has a nice kitchen corner with a fridge and a little cooktop, so you can prepare your own meals if you want. The whole room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the WiFi worked well. The staff was also very nice and I got a voucher for a free drink (because I stayed for a week) to sit at the bar and enjoy a nice evening. If you have a car, it's also possible to find a parking spot on a street. It was quite busy, but I found a spot every day. I'll come back as it's a great and quiet location.

I don't have anything to complain about.
