MAXX Hotel Jena

There was no kettle in the room, the staff provided it. There was an iron and a shoe cleaner available in the hall. The food in the restaurant was very good.

The restaurant closed at 10 pm, so it was not possible to have a drink there after that time. Taking into account that we received 5 euro voucher per day for not cleaning the room, which could be used at the restaurant/bar, we couldn't use most of the vouchers because we arrived to the hotel after 10 pm, when the bar was already closed.

I am staying in this hotel for the second time. The rooms both times were clean. The bed was very comfortable. A bottle of water was provided. The hotel is not in the center but for a good price and with a good view on the hills around. Also it's quiet.

I consider 17 euros for breakfast a bit expensive. There was only cola and beer in the mini-fridge, no snack. The hair dryer was very weak, it took some time to dry my hair.

The staff is very pleasant and helpful. Coffee capsules and a coffee machine are only available in certain rooms. The room was clean and tidy, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean.

For the entire stay, as a courtesy, only one 1-liter bottle of water is provided. The restaurant within the hotel is quite expensive, drinks are cheaper at the reception than in the restaurant/bar.

Everything was soooo good, the staff was very kind and professional, the hotel was very luxurious and clean. My stay in this Hotel was complete magnificent.

I know it is not your fault but, I wanted to stay in the hotel for 5 days or even more but it was fully booked, so please build more rooms. 😅

The staff were attentive, courteous and helpful. The room was clean, the beds comfortable, and the breakfast very good. I would certainly like to pay a longer visit to Jena, and I see no reason not to use the Maxx Hotel again.

It is a (mildly inconvenient) 15 minute drive into town, but of course this is the penalty for having a good hotel for a reasonable price. I could hear a very faint mechanical or electrical noise during the night. It didn't interfere with my sleep, and nobody else in my party mentioned it.

Overall very nice impression: everything clean, the room was warm enough and the bed is amazing! One of the best hotel beds I have ever slept in.

The entrance of the hotel smelled a bit strange, not sure if it was humidity or something else. Nothing really serious :)

unstable wifi, lack of espresso machine and bathrobes in hotel room as opposed to our friends who did get them, only one free bottle of water for the entire duration of stay

I loved the fact that the personell were so welcoming and nice, aswell as the rooms were beautiful and i had such a great time there. Food was also great!

I would have liked to have airconditioning in the rooms, but other than that it was great!

Quiet and clean room, comfy bed. I expected an AC ventilation, but opening the window shortly and simultaneously turning on the rotating ventilation from the ceiling did a quick and quiet job, in exchanging the air. That exceeded my expectations.

Nice room, well decorated and good size, easy to find free parking on the street. You get a free pass for the public transport, which was very convenient for taking the tram into the centre of Jena.

The breakfast was very expensive, so did not bother with it. The hotel is in a residential area about 6km from Jena city centre, but with the free tram pass this is not a big problem.
