B&B Hotel Jena

The very best thing about this hotel in our opinion. Is the receptionist Sarah ! We made a mistake in our booking dates, Sarah corrected it with Booking.com immediately, without hassle or problems. The next day she was breakfast coordinator, and although most of the breakfast crowd, was rude and acting like (sharks in a feeding frenzy.) She kept the food stocked, in a friendly professional manner. If her salary is less than 25 euros an hour, she's woefully underpaid. What a helpful person!! The room was nice but simple. No extras. For example (minibar, safe, coffeemaker.) But the airconditioner was fantastic, the bed comfortable, and great hot shower pressure.

The breakfast was very basic. Just brotchen , cold cuts, cheese, boiled eggs cereal a coffee machine ,fruits, yogurt and packaged cakes. If you are a hot breakfast fan, then you'll be disappointed. But its only 8.50€ . Which is reasonable for an all you can eat morning meal.

I was looking for a cheap hotel not too far from the city center, and this hotel was a good choice. The room was large and clean with a nice bathroom and good beds. It was easy walking distance to the city center (10 minutes walk to Jentower), but also with bus and tram stops very close to the hotel. The overall feel of the hotel was very good. Great value for money.

The place is clean and the staff are nice. Breakfast is just alright for the price. The parking which is provided for free is really good. The location is a bit far away from the center, but a couple of nice restaurants are at hand.

Overall the rooms are just OK. The tables in the rooms are not very useful. I found the TV in the room a bit small, also would be nice to have netfix or similar.

Missing information about of start serving breakfast. I arrived to the hotel at mignight. Reception was closed and check-in had to be made using the some kind of automat ( very good solution :) ), but There was no information about breakfast. It was important for me due to I had to leave the hotel at 6:15 next day.

The breakfast was delicious and the building was near the main touristic places. Also for checking out you need nothing, just to say goodbye. The staff were super friendly.

Maybe the space to have breakfast could be bigger or open an extra room for it, but meeting new people is ok.

Spacious and clean family room. Comfortable beds. Free of charge car park.

Lift was out of service throughout our stay without any help offered, although our room was thankfully only one floor up. Staff seemed unfriendly albeit eventually helpful. Consistent with German standard, but missed having a kettle with teas & coffee in the room.

The attention from the staff ecxeeded my expectation, everyone was friendly and very helpful, they helped us to have more information of the city, and the check-in, check-out process was very quick.

Breakfast was really expensive, so we ended not buying it.

Breakfast was good value for money. Room was very quiet and comfortable albeit not luxurious. Hotel overall is good value for money.

Free parking was available but when hotel is fully booked there is a shortage of spaces available. We announced that we would bring a small daog but were only at arrival made aware of a 15 Euro charge/night for this, although I understand the additional charge, I'd like to know in advance.

Hotel is quite quiet even next to train track, staff are helpful and friendly, good basic place to stay

Hotel is a little far from the city center to come and go numerous times a day. Beds were quite small and hard, other than that good basic place to stay with hard to find but good parking

The room, the distance from the centre, customer service within the booking app, self check in, vending machines

Receptionist attitude, also the person who we spoke at the phone with, not a lot of options at breakfast for persons with certain diets(lactose intolerant, meat/gluten free), we weren't able to find a person to speak to most of the time
