Hotel City Krone

Breakfast for my wife and I was excellent. My wife requires Gluten Free bread and they make sure it was plentiful. Buffet was well stocked and restocked timely. Two breakfast serving times is a great way of management of time and space. We had a larger than normal room that had a large double bed plus a up stairs with a Flat screen TV and a pull out bed if needed.

First concern is the location is in a pedestrian area. Hard to find when you first arrive. Next is the lack of facilities for electric vehicles. There is only 1 plug in available and it is a normal household appliance plug. Lucky I have a hybrid model because I expected a normal fast charge device and did not bring my home plug in. Also parking is very limited on the site of the hotel.

The location in town and next to all the amenities were spot on. You could not ask for a better situation for the price of the room. The room was spacious and tasteful and modern without being over the top. The breakfast is worth every penny. The staff was fantastic.

I would have given this place 11 out of 10 except for the fact that the room key situation could have been better. They use a key fob with a night stick attached for all access. Hard to keep in one's pocket. A key card system would be better. That is the only down side.

I stayed at their Premium Maisonette which was amazing. I really liked having air conditioning (which is really helpful in the summer heat) and the very comfortable beds (which supported my back as a slightly heavy person). Additionally, the breakfast was pretty decent. I was there for almost a week and I could sense a pattern with the breakfast but nevertheless, the selection of delicious breads, cheeses, meats and tea was good. Moreover, the staff were nice and helpful.

I felt that the indoor swimming pool area was a bit too dark (but it had a decent depth and size for swimming) and the sauna room was a bit small... It is still good for a hotel in the middle of the city!

The room was perfect. We had a lake view from our room. Good design. Variety of food at the breakfast. The location of the hotel is also fine - 10 minutes walk to the nearest beach, 5 minutes to the street with a lot of restaurants, 7 minutes to the railway station. The street was quiet, personnel was always friendly. I did not try the swimming pool, but they have one indoors - 3-4 people can use it together without causing discomfort to each other.

Could be great having free coffee for the guests at the lobby for all day. Not because I don't want to pay for it, but because it would correspond to the class of the hotel.

The staff were helpful and friendly from the moment we arrived. The room was a good size and clean. Breakfast was good, a nice variety.

The car park is busy not helped by the fact that some people struggle to stay within the lines. Not sure what the hotel can do to help that but it’s frustrating all the same when one car takes 2 spaces in an already busy car park. There is no stair case (that I could find) back up from the swimming pool in the basement. The lift would come down from Reception already full at busy times leaving us waiting a while.

Location in the center with the view of the lake from some rooms, nearby the promenade and shops. Clean and comfy rooms. Good breakfast. Availability to book a nice masage.

Swimming pool is pretty dark, and structure on the ceiling doesn´t create a comfortable feeling; two saunas were closed. Timeslots for breakfast (split in groups).

the hotel is in the center of the old town, the good thing is that is 3 minutes walking from the main walk path in front of the lake, so is away from the noise of the tourists. the hotel has his own parking that is cheaper than the public parking and has a lift that takes you directly to the floor where your room is

the rooms have little amount of lights so they are a bit dark of your have a cloudy day

The hotel is very well-appointed and calming from the moment you walk in. There are nice little touches like water available as you walk in, coffee in the mornings for a quick cup, and a nice bar area with comfortable tables inside and out. We stayed in one of the loft-style maisonettes and found the room to be very pleasant. The bedding was comfortable, although I could always use more pillows than one. The breakfast buffet had many options and it was easy to get a high chair for my toddler. Make sure you go and take a seat and a breather at the 5th floor deck overlooking the lake. If you bring a little change, you can also grab a drink from the refrigerator. The location cannot be beat. You are in the heart of the shopping district and a short walk from the promenade along the lake. There are cafes and restaurants all around. There is even a great, fenced playground along the promenade and steps away from one of the "beach bars."

The parking area can get a little tight for those with larger vehicles. However, there are public parking decks not far from the hotel as an alternative. The elevators can get very busy in the mornings when the cleaning staff start their shifts. It makes it a little difficult for parents who rely on the elevators to transport kiddos in strollers.

Nice and big rooms. Centre location. Impressive sauna area. Small pool but good enough. Good breakfast

The pool temperature was a bit low. I would have appreciated 2 or 3 degrees higher. The central location has a side effect that is the church that rings his bells (very loudly) rather early in the morning
