Parkhotel Wittekindshof

This was our second stay at the hotel. It was a perfect location on our trip through Germany as it is close to the motorway. The rooms are nice and breakfast is okay.

Last time we stayed the restaurant was closed and this time there was a lot of confusion about room service. We were travelling with a dog hence we couldn't physically go to the restaurant (without leaving the dog alone in a new place) On booking.com it says you can get room service and in their booklet in the room it also said we can get room service for dinner but at reception we were told that we cannot so wasn't sure which was it.

The garden is very cute and they have nice swimming pool!

The vegan options at the menu are not very "creative". I don't know who came up with the idea that replacing meat with cauliflower is a good idea and something that vegans would be happy with. But this is the case in many restaurants. But who is happy to pay full price from food where the main ingridient is cauliflower? Maybe add some tofu, beans or other vegetarian proteins to the main courses to replace the meat and not just vegetables.

I like everything especially the room cleaners (i am not rich but i can tip personals who are doing there job with a heart.) but except the staff in the reception before i checked out. Shes a little rude talking to me. Next time , smile with your customers. Even if i am travelling alone, i can pay whatever extra expenses to be paid. Good that i respect your job, bit respect me as your customer or guest. Thank you.

Good service. Responsive and friendly people at reception desk. All waiters are service oriented. Room is a bit hot during night but otherwise good standard. Breakfast offers good choice. Excellent to have an hotel with a good restaurant that is open for diner. I recommend this location and will return next time.

My room had no wifi, only worked if door was open. Bad connectivity is seldom today and very annoying. They offered me to change room but I was not in a mood to repack my stuff as I already had unpacked my luggage...

Very polite staff, who were extremely professional and made our stay very pleasant. The food was exceptional and the service faultless. The room was spotlessly clean and spacious. The transport links are excellent with a train station just over the road from the hotel with links to the city centre and airport. I would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to returning soon, thank you very much.

Very comfy room, with excellent shower. Excellent restaurant but also a really nice little bar hidden away behind the restaurant . Super-friendly barman (Andreas) ! - He really made the stay special for us. We learnt more about Dortmund and Westfallen area from him than any travel guides. Price was very reasonable for the standard of hotel. Easy transport to the city centre by tram (stop very close to the hotel). Lots of car parking

Getting here by car is a bit tricky since it is located on one side of a dual carriageway - you can only access it from one direction. You need to be very careful not to miss the hotel or its a long way around ! Room was a bit overheated and the air-conditioning was deactivated since it was winter season.

Even though the room looked out over the B1 (one of Europe's busiest roads, hence the "safety" rating), traffic noise was indiscernible. The breakfast was satisfactory without being extravagant. Reception staff excellent, helpful, knowledgeable, couldn't fault him.

Rather meagre choice at breakfast. If fresh eggs (fried, poached) were available, I wasn't told. Beans, mushrooms or tomatoes would have been welcome.

Amazing and clean hotel in a very good location, next to the main transit road so very easy to get to. It was our second stay and our experience was as good as last time. Breakfast choice was amazing with wide and fresh variety of food. After staying in many hotels in the area, this one became our favourite hotel in Dortmund.

property is on the B1 (main road into the city centre). Many free parking spaces, probably was magnificently clean and well presented. Rooms are beautifully decorated with amazing views. However the staff are especially brilliant, language barrier is nonexistent and were extremely accommodating. This should be a 5 star hotel.

The breakfast was great! There was really a lot of choice with quality offerings. Also the restaurant really spectacular. Thoughtful and delicious dishes accompanied by a relaxing atmosphere. The room and bathroom were really very spacious. The soaps, creams, etc for every need and carefully selected.

If I really have to find 2 faults: I found the pillows uncomfortable and the welcome peanuts are paid for...
