Extremely friendly staff. Absolutely loved their smile. We could not arrive on our first night due to very bad weather on the road and called them to inform them. They did not charge us that night. That was very friendly. The food was excellent in the hotel and the sauna as well. We had a run in the beautiful surroundingsin the morning.

Nothing. Except maybe: take a look at the robinet in room 22. The water leaks sometimes. It needs a change i guess.

We arrived in the midst of a storm, difficult to find. But, once arrived, exceptional location, amidst a vineyard, with far reaching views. Very pleasant dining room, nice staff and service. Excellent dinner to set us at rest.

The suite was on two floors, connected by a seperate stairway. Nice arrangement as bathroom was situated on the same level as the bed. Most windows were situated in the downstairs salon, which made the sleeping room rather dark and without views. In this way, the room plan did not allow to benefit from the fantastic location and views. A real pitty!

stopped for one night on our way to Italy. We did not know what to expect but everything was perfect, from the warm welcome, nice dinner in the terace, good breakfast, nice playground and breathtaking viwes on the valley. we were sorry we could not stay longer and we will deffinitely return

The location and the view were amazing. Our room was quite big and had a nice view. Additionally, the room and bathroom were very clean. Breakfast had lots of varieties and were delicious.

The plugs in the room were not working. Only in the bathroom, it was working. I think you need to ask for an adapter or sth.

Wonderful castle! Very beautiful surroundings. We stayed there with kids just before Christmas and had a lot of snow - it was a fairy tale! Comfortable family room. Breakfast was also good.

It would be nice to have a kettle in a room.

A lot to do in close proximity. We especially enjoyed the local hikes and the restaurant. The food was excellent and the views were spectacular.

We had a little trouble translating some of the trail and historical site plaques into english.

Old style hotel but with good quality of beds and furnitures. The breakfast was served with a lot of choices. The liquor that they made was also very delicious and of high quality.

The room was a bit too warm for us to sleep even with fan. No airco.

entrance area dark with multiple stairs. some creak so glad our room was away from there. could not get wifi to work but that’s a minor thing.

The terrace has a superb view looking to the whole valley where one can have breakfasts & dinners. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The dinner offers some fine dining options (2018 Michellin mentioned) with a local German wines' selection. Very good breakfast. There are some hiking opportunities behind the castle directly in the wonderful black forest.

- Beautiful location. - The hotel looks outdated at first glance, but it's in perfect condition and it meets all present-day requirements. - Very delicious food. Far better than the average German food. - Very friendly staff. Especially Rosa, who helped us with all our questions regarding the food, wine, excursions, etc.
