Hotel Alte Laterne

Cosy little hotel with a lot of details. It's in the middle of the walking district so it's close to everything. Nice restaurant at the hotel.

Hard to find and no parking.

Very centric location, probably the nicest in town. The hotel overall is very cute, with a traditional fashion, and the room was big and comfortable.

Initially some of the staff seemed kind but they had a really bad and cheap gesture: The room had a piece of paper with a free voucher for a coffee and cake in their restaurant, which was apparently nice. Right when we were checking out, we mentioned the voucher and got it served. When leaving, they actually made us pay the coffee and cake just because we forgot the piece of paper in our room!!! Really unacceptable, shame on them, no words how ugly it was. It is a small, kind of family hotel, so they knew we had the voucher and we hadn't use it before,. Besides that, the amenities of the room could be improved (we had sleepers but a tiny soap/shampoo almost not enough for two persons) and the breakfast was OK but we were expecting a bit more.

Location was perfect, breakfast was delicious and the ability to sit outside for breakfast is just great. Staff were mega friendly.

There was nothing that was not to my liking other than asking for hot water and getting tepid water. That was my only complaint and not really worth talking about.

Perfect hotel with character set in the centre of town. Staff friendly and offer old fashioned homely service. Hotel is quite picturesque with plenty of character. Restaurant at the entrance also ideal. We enjoyed the nearby spa and sauna center which was a short walk and the hotel stay offered a small discount on entry. We are very happy we chose this hotel for our short stay.

The location was super central at the heart of Baden-Baden.The breakfast was also really nice with plenty of options to eat and drink. I liked the Christmas decoration. They also offered a coupon for drinking coffee and eating a piece of cake in a cafe of Baden-Baden.

The door lock had a problem. The stair was creaky and you could hear the steps from people from the upper floors. The Wifi was pretty weak and kept disconnecting at random moments.

Very sweet hotel located in the heart of the town. Staff is incredible, always wearing a wide smile and being extremely helpful. The food and deserts at the hotel were great!

I wish the room was slightly larger. I cant think of anything else that was negative.

Staff was very suppirtive, the made our stay comfortable. The vicinity to the center, location excellent. Were helped with luggage and parking.

No elevators, but again, helped us in bringin luggage. Service was available until 23 hrs, but were supportive when arrival for the check in was quite late because of considerable delay of flight

Fantastic location, helpful staff, comfortable bed, well appointed bathroom, and a good breakfast.

The hallway had a very strong air freshener smell, and our room was always too hot, even though the weather wasn’t too hot and we left the window open to try to cool it down at night.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Got a suite in the building opposite the hotel which was very spacious and clean.

The breakfast on the weekend was already quite meagre once we arrived (9:30). On Monday the selection was better (as less people had frequented the buffet by then). Location is very central which is great but also comes with some noise till late at night.

Very central location, close to the major highlights of Baden-Baden. Hotel is spotless clean and very good buffet breakfast served including sausages and eggs. Excellent customer service provided especially from Alex. Hotel highly recommended.

In view that this is a traditional German hotel, there is no lift to access rooms. However assistance was provided in carrying our luggages.
