Galerie Hotel

This hotel was faultless. It is situated in a prime location in beautiful Bad Reichenhall, adjacent to the Royal Spa gardens. A 4 - 5 minute walk through the gardens takes you to the centre of town. A 4 - 5 minute walk in the other direction takes you to the railway station, handy for a trip to nearby Salzburg. We found all the staff to be friendly and welcoming. Reception couldn't do enough to help. A truly excellent breakfast was served every day - cereals, yoghurts, fruit, bacon & eggs, ham, cheese, chocolate cake and English Breakfast Tea! The rooms (particularly the one with the balcony) were excellent and very good value. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

Location is amazing in a quiet neighbourhood right next to the Kurgarten and just a few minutes walk from the centre of town beyond that. The staff are very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The room itself was very nice, with a lovely balcony that gave a view of the peaks of the local mountains. Breakfast was always well stocked as continental breakfasts go with nice fresh rolls, cheeses and cold meats and the hot breakfast foot was always refreshed regularly (scrambled & boiled eggs, bacon and sausages (plus a daily special like Kaiserschmarrn, kartoffelpuffer (potato pancakes) or special sausages with a couple of great bean-to-cup coffee machines that made coffees to suit all tastes.

Thin paper cups for tea or coffee in the rooms instead of proper cups or mugs. But that was it really... Easily fixed.

very nice location. First night we checked in late and were supposed to have a spot reserved but even with it being full the directions to park on street were clear and we left before 9 am so didn’t worry about getting a ticket. the view out the window was amazing with the mountains and the hotel was very clean. Breakfast was well worth the price too, was able to eat a lot of great food.

We did have a small issue with a noise complaint on us. I understand in hindsight we were a little loud and we should have kept it down, however, I just wish someone would have come to tell us we were too loud and we would have gladly turned the music down and went inside. Not really a problem but just wish communication was a little better.

Staff were all extremely friendly: very welcoming and making sure that we had a great time. The hotel is conveniently located in the center of Bad Reichenhall, right next to the Kurgarten, with a lovely park. There’s on site parking available, which is very convenient. Our room was very clean, well equipped (including coffee and tea making facilities).

Our room was rather small, which meant that only one side of the bed had a bedside table and power socket. Not a big deal though: we booked the cheapest room even had the option to book an upgrade for a small fee, but decided not to because only had a short stay.

I have chosen Galerie Hotel as a perfect spot in Bad Reichenhall to celebrate an anniversary with my partner. Didn't regret a thing about my choice. The staff has made everything to make our stay as pleasant as possible and fulfilled all my wishes. Also, a special vibe creates a stunning view from the window and the greatest location to Kurgarten. Apart from this, the breakfast was excellent, there were a big variety of things to choose from.

I don't have any bad comments to leave, just would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the members of the staff

Wonderful staff, very helpful and accommodating. Location was great as we were very interested in going to the park located directly next to the hotel and just a few steps away from the pedestrian shopping district. The best breakfast buffet! Large variety to choose from and just amazing how many great selections they had.

Booking.com wasn't truthful with their advertising, bed sizes were incorrect and breakfast was to be included but had to pay additional- this was not the Hotel's fault

Very pleased with the room itself and the size. All the amenities worked as hoped and arrived for an important online meeting so was thrilled that the wifi worked so well. Would definitely stay again, the staff were very patient and helpful. I am very grateful to them for being so amenable.

It sometimes took time to lock and unlock the door - there is clearly a knack to it but this could have been easier.

It’s was right next to the park and a short walk to the centre.

The reception staff checking us in were very rude. We had contacted the hotel prior to arrival to organise parking. She said they hadn’t received it and said there was nothing they could do. I had to ask where we could park as an alternative. She never made alternative suggestions and certainly didn’t apologise for the inconvenience.

The location is excellent; it is just a 10-minute walk from the train station. I stayed in the annexe building, which provided me with additional privacy. The staff recommended a nice restaurant (Schwabenbräu) nearby and told me about tour sites. The receptionists spoke good English, which was very helpful. The door to my room had a unique electronic lock that took a while to get used to, but after I got used to it, there was no problem. The room did not have a window, but this was not a problem because I could leave the door ajar by opening it vertically. The door and the window was just one thing. Very ingenious! The internet was fast and flawless, which allowed me to join a Zoom meeting with no problems at all. I definitively return there on my next trip to Bad Reichenhall.

Very nice location - just next to the spa park 🌳 Room was big and comfortable, breakfast was rich 🙂 Would stay there again.

Please note that check-in is open only until 7pm. Please also note that you need to reserve a parking spot before to have it (it costs separately) - there are limited number of parking spots, but it is also possible to park in the street. Please also note that you have to book yourself a time slot for breakfast as places are also limited there. But maybe it is even good as it kept the breakfast area less crowded.
