Beautifully furnished and decorated, large attic room with shower, toilet and hot drink making facilities. We liked watching the birds in the wisteria outside the window. Lovely greeting on arrival from host and his dogs. Breakfast was very pleasant with lovely croissants and jams. The puppy dog made us laugh as has learnt how to open the dining room door! Very determined. Pretty garden. Parthenay is a small but quaint village. Very tranquil.

Parking was easy in October opposite the B&B. Maybe more awkward in summer. The stairs to our toom are steepish & narrow - it's an old house. Well lit. Fine for us, but worth checking if suitable to you.

Cyril was super friendly. He offered to book a table for me at a local restaurant and was able to recommend one that was actually open on Monday night (rare). I was travelling on a bicycle and in the morning I had a bit of a mechanical issue with my bike. Again, Cyril went beyond the call of duty and offered to drive me and my bike to a bike shop nearby. The property itself is really interesting - a very old house (XVth century, I am told) that had been stylishly updated. The guest rooms are really tastefully done and furnished with eclectic antiques.

There was nothing to not like about the place. Quirky but in a good way.

Beautiful room, very tastefully decorated in keeping with the medieval part of town. Spacious, light and very clean. The hosts were so friendly, I would highly recommend a stay here. I hope to come back to explore the town a bit more one day. One tip, trust google maps even if it seems like you are going down a lane. Parking is right outside.

There is nothing I didn't like.

The owner was exceptionally friendly & helpful. He is an antique dealer and this is reflected in the interior design of the property. We had a room with mid century design classics furniture. The property will appeal to people who are interested in design . We loved it.

A large bedroom , adequate modern bathroom & classic furniture , what more could you ask for!

Fantastic BnB! We took up all of the bedrooms with a group of friends, but I’m sure if other guests were staying at the same time it would have still been splendid. Since we took up all of the rooms I was able to look at all of the rooms and they all looked just like the photos. The entire property was amazingly clean and cozy. The location in the more medieval area of Parthenay is also amazing. Highly recommended!

This property was a real gem of a find. Beautifully appointed rooms with excellent linens and very comfortable beds. The property has been renovated with an excellent mixture of old and modern and tastefully decorated throughout. Inside the property lies beautiful gardens creating a welcoming oasis within the town.

The hosts were a lovely family with wonderful dogs. The croissants at breakfast were some of the best I had during my trip to France. Very accommodating while still giving us our space. The rooms were beautiful.

Layout of the rooms was a little confusing. Maybe signs on the doors or a map for guests would help. Motion-detected lighting would be a help to for getting around hallways in the dark.

A beautiful room and house, with lovely hosts. Our room was very large, comfortable and tastefully renovated with modern touches. A well equipped room with tea and coffee making facilities, and a generous breakfast. A garage to securely store bicycles. Great location for exploring the historic quarter.

The room was beautiful with an excellent shower. The location was perfect for the historic sites. The hostess was very welcoming and attentive and provided everything we needed. The decor was stunning, and the breakfast was excellent.

There was nothing to dislike.

The exterior is deceptive: once you step in, you realise this a very ancient house, tastefully converted into Chambres d’Hotes and a gîte. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The owner’s recommendation for a restaurant that was excellent.
