Novotel Nancy

We stayed here as a pitstop driving home from Spain, the location is great just a few minutes off the highway with free private parking available. The hotel has a nice pool to relax the muscles after a long drive and the rooms are comfortable and large enough for 2 adults and 2 kids.

We didn't take the breakfast as we found it quite overpriced (18.90 EUR per adult). In our room specifically, the bathroom door was a bit stuck so we couldn't open it up entirely, which meant entry and exit was slightly hindered.

This was a "distress" last minute hotel booking as we were driving our electric car across Europe and were let down by some broken chargers. We didn't even realise that the hotel had EV chargers but the lady who checked us in was amazing and found us a charger outside and saved us a lot of stress. She couldn't have been more proactive or helpful

It is not listed on the hotel website or on Booking.com that the hotel has EV chargers - which are free for guests to use. This is a huge miss - you're potentially missing out on potentially very happy (and grateful!) customers. Secondly the hotel rack rate was lower than the rate i paid with Booking.com. So much for the price guarantee!

Amazing hotel ! We have stayed in Nancy a few times before but nothing beats the swimming pool and excellent cleanliness of this hotel ! With children I would say go for it, they will love the pool after a long drive. The breakfast (free for kids up to 16) is very nice and varied. The location is about 15 minutes from Place the Stanislas and perfectly situated close to the highway so you can drive away easy the next morning. The parking is included and has plenty of space for your packed holiday car which give it a safe feeling knowing your stuff is looked after. The room was super clean and the beds were super comfy. We had a bathtub and lovely soaps to feel clean and pampered after a week of camping in the wilderness.

There is absolutely nothing I didn’t like !

The hotel was easy to find and the facilities were great, the swimming pool is open until 9pm and opens at 7.30am so we had a good chance to use the pool when we arrived and in the morning before check out. The rooms are comfortable, clean and the pull out sofa bed was also very comfy. There were ritual hand lotions and shower gels which was also nice. The breakfast was amazing, great choice of items, the restaurant in the evening was also very good, very cosy and the staff were super accommodating, Thomas served us and was very professional and helpful, a credit to Novotel! We would definitely stay again and recommend to friends

Absolutely nothing!

Hotel located just outside of Nancy. Easy access to highway and downtown was only a short 15 minute drive. Room was very nice and air conditioning a bonus as temps were in the mid 30's (90's). Hotel pool was a bit crowded, but to be expected with the hot weather. Nice outside terrace for drinks. Very good Wifi in the room and excellent shower. Bed large and comfy and room size very good. Mini-bar in room. There was some inside renovations going on, but nothing really negative. Lots of free parking all around the building.

Nothing to report. Recommend you have a car though (as we did) as I didn't see any bus connection to the hotel. Some walkable dining options nearby.

Good clean room with space.shower and toilet were clean and shower good. Although well out from the centre, there are some interesting places to eat. We tried the buffet style royal Gambas. Definitely worth a try, and only a 10 minute walk from the hotel

Breakfast was a bit limited. Only hot food for veggie was scrambled eggs (which given breakfast is 20euros was limited in my view). Location is out of town, so don't expect to be able to walk into the centre.

When dealing with allergies, it always gets tricky; will I eat something at the end of the day. The dinner did not go right immediately - difficult mix of allergies - but, it was solved fast and with a smile rather than feeling a pain. The breakfast was so brought that there was enough to select from - again..... allergies.

Although we gave it our best in French, we need some English support which was only by mamagers

The location of the property, the bonus of the swimming pool, a great sized room with a very comfortable bed, free water filling stations, free and safe parking and lots of choice for breakfast.

The wait time between getting our first course and main course was excessive at over 1 hour and we even considered cancelling as we had drunk our bottle of wine before the meal arrived.

The room was an acceptable size for french hotels. We were a party of two adults and two small children, so we booked one room with a foldaway bed. When the foldaway was open there was still some room to move around. It didn't feel cramped. All beds were comfortable and after a long drive we were able to rest up and wake energized for the second part of our journey. The breakfast was in a very spacious environment, i did miss coffee and tea service at the table. You needed to get it from a machine. There's a children's play corner right next to the restaurant so the children could play freely while we were having a quiet breakfast. The staff were all very friendly and courteous. It was no issue having a bottle warmed for the little one late at night. Reception was quick and efficient, as was check out. Ample parking. Right by the highway, ideal for a stop in between traveling. If the drive back would've been difficult we would have stayed at this hotel again. We probably will book again in the future.

The foldaway bed wasn't set up prior to arrival, so we needed to fix that ourselves. I had marked a reservation for 4 people so they knew we would need it. I would have preferred the bed being set up for us. The room was quite chilly upon arrival (it was dec 25th so a warmer room would've been nice) and the climate control was loud, we had to turn it off at night.

The hotel is right off the highway and has excellent, guarded, parking facilities. The hotel is big, airy and clean and the staff speaks excellent english. There is a big pool if you feel like it or to keep the kids entertained. The restaurant is a PROPER restaurant that cooks real fresh food, so no reheated frozen stuff. The room is clean, functional and modern with fast internet, comfy bed and in our case separate shower and toilet. Allround a great experience on our journey back home.
