The Originals Access Hôtel Bordeaux Aéroport

1. Air conditioning- 10/10 rate. It beats the 4 and 5 start hotels. As the AC actually cooled the room properly. Unlike the 4 and 5 star hotels we’ve been to, where the AC has a maximum limit and you won’t even feel the coolness when the weather outside is over 30 degrees. 2. Cleanliness- 9/10 rate. the room and shared kitchenette were both spotless However, i noticed the bin in the kitchen and our rooms were not emptied. So we emptied our bins on our last day and brought it downstairs to the main bin area . ( 3 flight of stairs or 64 steps to be exact:)) no Lift. not a big deal though. 3. Tv 9/10: the room has a smart TV with netflix and youtube. 4. wifi 10/10: very fast and reliable. 5. staff: 9/10: we never met any staff but they do reply via messages quite promptly. message via booking app or whatsaap. 6. check in 10/10: They send you a link to click with check in information . If you read it properly the check in process is very straight forward .. You find the building .. you put the code in.. you go to the floor where they instruct you to, you put the code on the key box, you take the key and Viola! you’re in.

1. Pillows .. there were two pillows. Would have liked an option for more. 2. Iron; if you do not have a travel steamer and plan to bring clothes that may need freshening up, there is no option to iron your clothes… but there are plenty of places around to get your laundry done and ironing .. with a price :) 3.Supplies: we just ran out of toilet rolls on our last day so not a big issue but there was no info if the toilet rolls were going to be refilled or you have to buy your own refill:)) 4. Stairs : if you’re not a fan of stairs, 64 steps up and down:) you might want to consider this. we didn’t mind it.

My stay was pretty much what I expected for the price I paid. I flew into Bordeaux from Amsterdam on the late flight and wanted accommodation close to the airport whilst I rented the car the following morning. As it was after hours there was no front desk, but communication from the hotel was excellent and gaining access through the main security gate and into the room was simple enough. The room itself is was perfectly adequate - a little on the small side but as all I wanted was a shower and bed, it did the job. It was spotlessly clean and the bed comfortable. Shower, toilet and hand basin, again a little on the small side, were also spotlessly clean.

Not the fault of the hotel, but by nature of it being an airport stopover, it's got a motel feel as you park right outside the bedrooms. Mornings start early! After just 5 hours sleep i was woken up by other travellers setting off from 5 am and it's noisy! If your intention is to fly in and set of early the next day, this works. It's reasonably priced, neat, clean and tidy and fine for what I wanted. I think though, had my husband travelled with me, the room would've been too small. so worth checking if rooms are standard sizes or if a larger one is an option if you are travelling with a lot of luggage or prefer just a little more space.

It was fairly close to the airport. I was able to check in using the un-manned kiosk when I arrived around midnight. The staff the next morning was friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was good and nice coffee. Simple and clean room, perfect for staying while waiting for flights the next day.

The room was a little compact, especially the bathroom. It was ok for me as I was travelling on my own. But it might be tight if used by a couple for longer than a one night stopover.

Impossible to find. Sat nav brought us to several wrong locations & when we asked others for help, they gave us wrong information. We rang the hotel but the guy was unable to give us the correct location. When we eventually found it, we couldn’t understand why it was so hard to find. Need a better location indicator, e.g. beside the IBIS Styles hotel or 50 m before the Caroline Agile tram stop in the direction of the airport

Clean and comfortable bed, a good location for an early start to the airport. Snacks and drinks were available onsite in the reception area. Breakfast is available to book at reception. Trams run every 8 minutes just outside, near to the hotel for return to the airport, and also into Bordeaux direct to Train station and city.

The only gripe I had is that there was no hair dryer available in the room. Provision of milk or water for the Nespresso coffee machine would have been nice.

Loved the proximity to the airport and how cared for the property is.. Actually liked the simplicity of check in however I was a little nervous.

Watched a couple with a family struggle with the machine for the key dispatch and at time like this it would have been nice for them to be able to just chat to a human face to face to resolve whatever the issue was. Maybe she was putting the number in incorrectly but not everyone is able to concentrate with kids etc.

easy check in even out of hours, and just a 12 minute walk from airport terminal. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Free parking, Wi-Fi ( though a touch slow), kettle, yes I know a kettle in a French hotel, rarer than hens teeth. you will be able to take the tram from airport when it opens, I think it will be about the first stop.

quite basic, but excellent for price. Room a touch small, heating/ air con was noisy, but better the second night when I turned it off.

My booking.com reservation said check out was 12 noon. Reception staff (male) said it was 11 am. When I showed him my booking, he was rude to me, and this upset me. On my last visit the female reception staff were very kind, so this man's rude dismissive behaviour shocked me. He clearly disliked having a woman disagree with him despite my showing him evidence!

The hotel is very close to the airport (walking distance). Note that the local taxi drivers refer to the hotel as 'le petit dej' NOT The Originals Access. The hotel was able to accommodate late-night check-in, just make sure you have a card with you to pay for the tax on arrival. The room was comfortable and clean with complimentary tea and coffee. The breakfast was great and better than expected with unlimited coffee refills (always a bonus!). There is a bus stop that takes you directly to the main train station in Bordeaux right outside the hotel so the location is perfect for onward travel. The staff were exceptional and even lent me a phone charger in the morning. I look forward to staying again when I next fly into Bordeaux. This hotel comes highly recommended.

I think it is perfect place to stay if you have an early flight the next day. It looks more like a motel that you see in American movies than a hotel. But if you need a clean, safe and practical place close to the airport it is a good deal. Rooms are small. I was by myself and it was okay but might be challenging to have 2 adults and 2 large suitcases.
