Hôtel Vacances Bleues Balmoral

stayed here for only one night, but our room was so clean and the beds were extremely comfortable (especially after a long travel day). the location is also ideal, right on the street with all of the little shops and only 10-15 minute walk to the beach and 15 minutes to the train station. the breakfast was wonderful and had a wide variety of options, we loved it. the staff were also super friendly and helped us whenever we had any questions or requests. and they let us store our luggage in their storage room while waiting for the check in time at our other booking! just a wonderful experience overall and I’ll definitely consider this hotel if I’m back in Menton!

Hotel was in a lovely position and was as described. The staff were excellent and went the extra mile when we had a problem with our transport to the airport. Loved the separate living room from the bedroom (we had a prestige room)

Unfortunately the carpet in the room we stayed in was very stained and required a good deep clean. Only one choice for evening meal if you wanted to eat in the hotel. The separate toilet had no wash basin so had to go to the bathroom to wash your hands.

The hotel is in an excellent position in Menton, just across the beach and in proximity to everything. It has nice architecture and garden, the room was unexpectedly big. The staff was professional and nice, breakfast was fair (we missed some vegetables, but otherwise OK).

Three thing we did not like: - the 30 Euro we had to pay as caution money for the parking place (why? since we were asked to pay the parking as soon as we arrived) - the fact that there was no fridge in the room (this was a surprise we didn't expect, and it made our holiday by the beach a bit more difficult) - last but not least, the fact that the air conditioning was extremely cold, extremely intense, and, despite our attempts, could not be either fine-tuned or switched off (of course we could manipulate the buttons, but there was no consequence to that). My husband got a severe cold because of that, which needed medication within the next days of our holiday journey.

The location is excellent; the front of the hotel leads to the sea front and the rear leads onto a pedestrian way into the centre of town. All the staff were lovely and helpful. Buffet breakfast was very good. Rooms and beds comfortable.

A personal preference but there was only very soft pillows, that we didn't like. The room had a very small toilet, that was so small you banged your head on the door when you stood up

Cannot a enough positive things about my stay here. The receptionist was so helpful and accommodating when I was have logistical issues getting to the hotel. The room was clean and as described on the website and the breakfast was great. It’s right next to the beach and in the heart of Menton. I extended my one night stay into two nights because I was enjoying the area and hotel so much. Would definitely recommend!

Location, cleanliness, helpfulness of staff all excellent.

View- although it had the sea on either side, the view was blocked in the middle by a big building, so not exactly expansive feel. Breakfast not all that inviting. Didn't feel like really fresh breads, etc.

we loved the view from our room, it was everything we dreamed of. we loved that it was next to the sea. the staff was very kind. the room was clean.

something that we weren’t too excited about was the breakfast. it was good, nothing to complain about the quality or taste, but you didn’t have much to choose and it was the same everyday.

We really liked the location of this hotel, which was perfect for both the seafront and other town amenities. Our room was spacious and comfy and kept perfectly clean during our stay, as was the rest of the hotel. The selection of food at breakfast was excellent and was always regularly replenished - the breakfast room had a wonderful view of the sea.

Friendliness and professionalism of staff. Excellent location, next to the sea and the town. Comfortable bed. Good choice at breakfast served in a pleasant dining room. We also enjoyed some good evening meals in the restaurant. A lovely stay, thank you.
