IBIS Caen Centre

The room was a lot smaller than we expected after having used IBIS Hotels in the past. We had three suitcases with us as we were on a long vacation and we were literally living out of the suitcases and shuffling them about every day. I asked for a larger room and the receptionist said that all rooms were the same size. We just accepted the fact the room was so small. We used the lounge areas for comfort and lounging. The room was kept clean and fresh sheets were put on the bed mid-week. Breakfast was very good with a large choice of food and drink on display and the staff were helpful. However. there were no bananas. The secure underground car park was a useful bonus.

The very small rooms.

The location is excellent, within walking distance of most of Caen's tourist attractions and the shopping centre. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and breakfast was excellent. The wheelchair accessible room and shower room were a good size and well thought out.

No toilet brush in the bathroom was a nuisance. The sheet on our bed was very poorly fitted, and the mattress constantly moved with every turn in the bed. There was an unexplained fire alarm set off with no one to tell us what to do, and the lift stopped working on one occasion.

The location was first-class right in the centre of the city, yet easier accessible from the motorway. Breakfast - continental was faultless - the underground car park was perfect for us, as we had two motorbikes, and always found a space. The staff were so helpful. Couldn't fault it. Although it's classed as a budget option, I have paid more for far less. I would definitely return.

location and parking

I have stayed many times and really like the hotel. unfortunately the window was particularly draughty and the noise coming fro the street kept us awake for most of the night. inspecting the window in the morning showed a gap around the bottom of the window with the window fully closed. Room 385.

The location in the center of Caen. The parking garage under the hotel. The possibility to charge my Tesla. The climate in the room. The good shower. The bar.

There where only two large towels. No small towels. The rooms are small (but lage enough for just sleping).

Location excellent, huge Sunday market just across the road, super friendly and helpful staff, parking was underneath and secure with access to the hotel from the basement.

Nothing, liked everything about it.

Location is excellent. The staff is extremely friendly. Breakfast is quite ok, good value for the money. Room were clean.

Everything was OK but I think that the rooms are a bit pricey for this category. Anyway, we were there during the bank holidays and I guess this was also reason for the high price.

room was a bit smaller than we thought it would be - but not a big problem. we thought it would be good if there were electric charging points for cars..

The location was excellent as was the breakfast. The room was a bit cramped because of a single bed in the room which wasn't required

The spare bed in the room took a good bit of space which made the room feel smaller

The location was perfect! 10-20 minute walk from anything we wanted to check out. The food options were abundant right outside the hotel. There was an amazing glee/farmers’ market right outside on Saturday morning. Breakfast was delicious too!
