Hôtel Crocus Caen Mémorial

Large family room with a double and two singles, really nice and clean and had everything we needed. The communal corridors and staircases were a bit grubby and tatty, but we don't have a spotless home ourselves so it wasn't an issue. All of the staff we had dealings with were brilliant, as was their patience with our language attempts. The food choices were limited but there's enough to cover most common choices. The food and drink prices were very reasonable. There is free parking on site. We enjoyed our night here and would consider it for future trips.

Two things. One, the pizza at the restaurant was just OK. There were some not so good comments about it, but I tried it anyway. It was just OK but I ate it as I was hungry! Was a nice restaurant, I should have ordered something else. Two, I looped around three times before I found the entrance. It was dark and each time I missed it, I had to circle the roundabout. Perhaps a better sign to help out.

Excellent value had everything we needed for a stopover The guy on reception could light up even the darkest night ,realised very soon our french was limited he quickly resorted to speaking perfect pronounced English something myself and my wife have never been able to do and made sure we had a wonderful night . The food was great and good value the room was well equipped and very clean all in all a great stay made even more memorable buy the Tall handsome lad who was working the 2pm till 10pm shift

Nothing really

Nice family room - clean, spacious and comfortable beds - and the lady on reception was very friendly. We needed somewhere convenient to crash overnight before taking the ferry to Portsmouth the next morning, and it did the job.

Restaurant was closed for dinner at the weekend - no huge drama as there are plenty of restaurants in the area and we ended up eating at a lovely place called Mamma Mia in Ouistreham.

The staff at the desk and restaurant were really good and very friendly. I mean really nice. The rooms are tiny but comfortable and super clean. The restaurant is understated but the food is pretty good and you don't have move the car. Close to the museum too.

The room is tiny, but then again, it's France. Entry with a car is tricky but then again it's France.

The staff were friendly and very helpful, the room was very clean, tidy and comfortable. The pizza i had was one of the best. So no complaints at all.

Had a bit trouble getting out early in the morning due to electronic doors. The front door wasnt labelled properly however i admit it was early and i was sleepy and in a hurry to get to the ferry.

We liked the size of the room very clean and comfortable the reception and bar restaurant area was lovely

We did pick a night unfortunately when the bar and restaurant was closing at 6 which we understand was exceptionall some kind of holiday But we understood that

Comfy bed, nice room and parking on site. Hotel confirmed our requests and the staff were exceptionally helpful, found a fantastic restaurant for us for Seafood - La PLanche A - and organised a taxi for 6 people which was only about 20 Euros. Couldn't really as for more!

The staff was very friendly and helpful The meal was tasty, the « tarte aux pommes » had a whole apple cut up in one long strip - clever!

This is not a complaint but a comment because I have grand kids and I know that they need to « Stretch their little legs » but the floor was not helpful when they were running around: it made it all shake! 😂

Hotel good. Lots of hot water. Great hairdryer. Nice breakfast. Good location. Accepted dogs. Free Parking. Nice beer Will definitely stay there again. Reception staff Rihab, very helpful and polite.
