ibis Bordeaux Centre Bastide

Service was great, extensive and very good breakfast, great room with nice beds and comfortable bathroom. Staff was lovely. Location was perfect in a nice calm area of the city a few minutes from the Garonne. Hotel located on walking distance from trendy hot spots at the Garonne. And the nearby transport possibilities (tram, boot taxi) took us in in instant to other lovely sites of the city on the other side of the Garonne. Parking facility of the hotel is a huge benefit.

nothing: no complaints, everything was great

Location was fairly good, about 20 minutes of pleasant walking across the bridge from the main attraction points of the city center. There's a boat stop on the Garonne not too far from the hotel, though we never used it. There is a McDonalds, a Carrefour and a post office within 5 minutes' walk distance. Tram stop very close, too. Despite a street view, the room was quiet. The room and the bathroom were ideally clean. The shower is very convenient. The breakfast buffet has a wide range of choice. There is a bar so one can have a glass of wine or some snack in the evening. Staff very welcoming and accommodating.

The most prominent drawback is lack of tea and coffee facilities in the room; nor there was even a tiny table. The bed was a bit too soft. Just one blanket for two sleepers is not very convenient. On three out of six breakfast servings, we were given single-use plastic knife and fork. Also, the room had a number of not too nice plastic decorations (though it is a matter of taste).

If you have stayed at an Ibis before, you know exactly what you are going to get. Nothing fancy. Room was clean, bed comfortable. Location was great for those driving to the city—easy (20 min) walk to old town, near tram stop and also ferry stop. Parking is directly next door in the Carrefour garage and costs 13.50 per day. Good breakfast.

Hotel was very warm—even for early October the temperatures outside were still pretty toasty and we spent the night roasting even with the window open and just the sheet. There is an air conditioning system that seemed to do nothing.

The main reason we chose this hotel was possibility to stay with pets, parking and location. On each of this point - it met our expectations. We had to travel by car, so after 12 hours drive and arrival at midnight - it was great to have 24 hours reception that allowed us check in super and go to rest. Breakfast was sufficient, as normally we would expect from Ibis chain. Parking location is easy to find. Quite spacious and not much expensive (2 days was around 27 EUR) We had our cat nanny cancelling on us at the last moment, but hotel was still happy to accept us with all our little grumble So from the point of view of pet policy - hotel for sure exceeded our expectations! Location wise it is also awesome! Supermarket to get some snack is just 1 min away, 20 minutes walk to the center of the city and main touristic attractions.

The room was small-ish for us: 2 people, 2 dogs and 1 cat, but it is standard Ibis room that we expected. So if you travel with multiple pets - please bare in mind typical room sizes

Breakfast was really good. Any kind of taste you can find. Location is great, so close to trams and boats. Neighborhood and hotel itself are very peaceful, I didn't hear any noise even day time. Receptionists are so friendly. The lobby of the hotel is cheerful, they serve some snacks for humans and pets as well.

Small rooms but I had all the thing that I needed, only a kettle and slippers would be nice.

We arrived on bikes which were well accommodated and we found the room to be very comfortable and well set up. The receptionist provided lots of excellent information about the city and getting around. We also found the breakfast to be well worth the money. Bordeaux is really a very bike friendly city with lots of bike lanes and had we not had enough of riding to get there we could have gotten to and from, and around the central city area on bikes quite easily. It was good to have the large Carrefour right next door as well.

Its a bit of a walk to the city (20 mins), but a city pass or a transportation pass takes care of that and there is a tram stop about 5 mins away.

The position was good, just outside the historical centre but at walking distance from main attractions. The hotel was ibis-standard, very budget-oriented, but new and better kept than other location. Price was the main attraction point.

Bathroom was a one-piece plastic bloc, furniture in Ibis style. Which is okay but singificantly cheaper looking than what one gets from Motel One at very similar rates.

Great location just across the Pont de Pierre for easy access to the main Bordeaux attractions. Clean, comfortable room. Quiet area. Parking is convenient in adjacent parking garage and reasonably priced. Full breakfast (although not included) was an unexpected surprise. All staff I had contact with were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and spoke very good English.

Really not something I didn't like. My only suggestion is to work out a deal with the gym next to the supermarket for hotel guests to work out if they prefer.

Basic, but nice, had everything we needed. Clean, comfortable bed, very good breakfast, friendly staff. Good location, if you visit as a tourist. On walking distance from bars at river bank, 10 minutes from historic center. Good value for price.

Occasional unpleasent smell in the bathroom.

The breakfast was good, however In my reservation the breakfast was included for all, when arrived I was charged with an extra breakfast because…. “When you reserve by booking.com they always forget to book breakfast for kids…”. Asking booking.com by mail about, the answer was… silence

The respect of what was in the contract! And the transparency between the booking.com site and the hotel
