Hotel Regina Bordeaux Gare Saint-Jean

Room11 in Hotel Regina Bourdeaux is a spacious room with two large windows (it is posible to sunbathe in the afternoon lying on the bed)👍 It has a large comfortable bed a good AC system, two comfortable chairs, a coffee table, a kettle, a fridge. The bathroom is spacious with a jacuzzi bath. It's really a relaxing room with no noise or intruptions.Perfect for our four-night stay. (€10.50 / day ) The best part for us Irish couple is we flew from Cork Airport, Ireland to Bordeaux Airport on a Ryanair flight: 19:25 pm -22:10 pm (€30 each, one way) We took Tram  A  destined for La Ggardette or Dravemont. We switched at Porte de Bourgogne ( just walk across the tracks) and could take Tram D or C to Gare de St Jean Bourdeaux train station (a central hub) for the price of €1.70 each) We walked 50 M to the Hotel Regina.  The building has character and a sense of history and longevity. We are conscious of our carbon footprint and try to live within planetary limits. Our stay at Hotel Regina centred around the proximity to low-carbon modes of transport and the owner's ethos of sustainability and affordability. The staff at the hotel are welcoming, accommodating, and approachable, and they make our stay in Bordeaux very enjoyable. We rate room 11 and Hotel Regina Bourdeaux: 5 out of 5. Jerry & Eileen .

We were hugely impressed with La Regina. The professional care and attention of the staff towards customers is exceptional and that was evident from our early communications with them to the moment we left. The room was large and like the rest of the hotel was immaculate and comfortable with everything we needed. Breakfast was really good - a great buffet all presented well and attended superbly too. Our particular thanks to the reception staff who are outstanding. We recommend this hotel very highly - it offers excellent value for money.

The hotel offered a well-priced room very close to the Bordeaux train station. For those, like us, with a bit too much luggage, that proximity to the station was priceless. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the hotel harbors features that suggest it was a very elegant palace some years ago. It is now more utilitarian, but it still has all the features one needs when in Bordeaux, with close proximity to the central old town as well.

Nothing was lacking.

STAFF: I arrived at 5:30 in the morning, so much too early to check in. Still the receptionist was very friendly and helpful to accommodate me in the common area and to help me relax after my long night's journey. LOCATION: Extremely useful for those using trains or international busses, as it is opposite the train station,

the noise of tramway bells outside - sometimes quite confusing because they can sound like telephone rings

Perfect location, could not be better. Just step out the train station and it's right in front of you one minute walk. Between the train station and the hotel is a Tram station for 2 of the 4 Tram lines, that is easy to use and takes you to all the sites. The room was nice, clean, big and quiet, with AC. It had a big window with a nice view overlooking the train station that can open. The train station is also the starting and ending point for the airport bus, so it is also excellent if you are flying in to Bordeaux. The staff was awesome and the hotel was great value for my budget. Don't think, just stay here.

Very well located to all major public transport, i.e. literally across the road from St Jean station, and the tram and bus terminus. The room was clean and comfortable and, especially important, with the air conditioning on I could close the windows and get a good night’s sleep.

The shower head was broken. It was trivial so I didn’t mention it until I was checking out.

Location is right opposite the train station. Lots of options for Tram and Bus around the city. Room is very clean and tidy; it has all the basic things you will need for a short stay (3 nights for 2 of us).

Our room door was not sound proof at all. So when our neighbouring room guests came back or left, their door lock and talking voice would wake us up. Room also looks a little old, but it's clean, so all's good. No shampoo or toothbrush, so prepare you own.

1. No air conditioning in the room. Only fan(ventilator) which made a lot of noises - you couldn't sleep with turn on. 2. The price doesn't include breakfast (the price for staying cost me 70 euros per night, which, in principle, is not small)

Good thing that the hotel could provide a parking lot, since located opposite the train station, it was quite busy around. The room was good, the staff - very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was nice, so overall - a nice impression.

We paid a lot at the train station parking before we checked in and got our own parking from hotel. Otherwise, all went smoothly.

the area is scary (not only at night) I wasn’t comfortable walking on the street. 20 min in public transportation (again, you just have to cross the road). the bad in my room wasn’t that comfortable for me
