Grand Tonic Hotel & SPA NUXE

This hotel finds itself in an excellent location in the city center and close to the beach. What I underestimated was how good it was to have the spa on hand after a long day on the beach in the sun and exposed to the salt water. You head down from your room in a bathrobe and the session there means you emerge clean and refreshed and ready for a night out on the town. I also highly recommend just sitting in the restaurant with a drink to enjoy its decor and calm ambiance.

The hotel offers a great list of spa treatments but they're on the expensive side, so I didn't book anything in. I was happy to use the spa on its own though. Same for the restaurant, beautiful decor and calm ambiance but the prices put me off having more than a few drinks there.

Great location in a lovely part of Biarritz, only a few minutes walk from the beach and close to restaurants & bars but also quiet at night for a good sleep. Very clean and spacious room. Staff were very helpful.

No outdoor pool but not really necessary given how close by the beach is

Very nice hotel with an excellent service. The front desk is very skilled and friendly,especially many thanks to Barbara and her colleague. The accommodation and housekeeping is impeccable always fresh towels and very attentive staff. The nice spa is a big bonus with lovely NUXE products.

We had a really pleasant stay. The location of the hotel is great, close to everything to visit Biarritz center on foot. Our room was very spacious, stylish, comfortable and clean. We were able to use the swimming pool of the spa for the morning swim and were mostly alone at that hour. The staff of the hotel were all very nice and helpful. Would definitely stay there again!

Excellent location next to the beach, and short walk to the town centre. The food in the restaurant was top class, and the staff was always professional and friendly. Leisure centre was a little gem!

Some elements of the decor a bit dated and could be refreshed, or renovated, nevertheless everything was clean and in the working order.

Lovely spa. A gym room would have been good. And towel rails to dry towels and beach things. Some of the breakfast hot food wasn’t v good. Very good fruit and sweet options. V expensive comparing to some of the other local hotels. V enjoyable stay though, thank you. Great staff and so clean!

A few steps to the central beach. Indoor spa pool was amazing! perfect for families! Free robes was very thoughtful. Happy hour at the hotel bar was worth it! Breakfast buffet was top notch! No need to think twice about choosing Grand Tonic Hotel in Biarritz.

Bath would not fill let alone use jets Breakfast had plenty of choice but no milk or teaspoons and would have expected better coffee. One toaster which did not work.

What we like most were the staff, super friendly and attentive. The room was nice, the bathroom was lovely and we enjoyed the jacuzzi bath. Spa was also nice.

Nothing, it isn't the most spacious hotel but the staff and facilities were great for our stay.

The hotel was so close to the beach and the shopping area. The staff were so helpful, recommending us some excellent places to eat and things to do. Everyone was so friendly. We can't wait to visit again.
