room 008 exactly what we asked for . on the ground floor parking for our motorcycle friendly helful staff the room clean shower excellent bed all good and confortable breakfast was ok the central location and what a suprise it was to be so close to the centre of a lovely town

a silly comment ; but probably instructions on the coffee machine I noticed people not knowing where to put the plactic capsules/pods into the machine to start it. obviously if you have one you know, but when on holiday you like to try different things

Hotel de Paris is an excellent choice to stay in Besancon, and what a great city Besancon is. The hotel is centrally located, the staff where welcoming and helpful, even allowing us to wheel our bikes through the hotel main entrance to the central courtyard. We choose the larger 25 sqm room and it was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was very good with a wide choice of food available. Bike storage was in a bike rack in the central courtyard and was fairly secure. On our Eurovelo 6 cycle trip, this was one of the best hotels we stayed in.

This was a boutique hotel experience set in the heart of an interesting, historical village - winding streets and everything. The staff were very helpful and we were able to book a parking space at the hotel (else public parking on the edge of the central village area, it is largely pedestrian-only). The room was beautiful, and very tastefully decorated with a luxury vibe. We had a nice setup for our daughter in the same room but in a small alcove to herself - there was plenty of space for all of us. In the morning, we had the most amazing, tasty breakfast - buffet-style and everything you could think off. The room had a lovely view out to the hotel courtyard and across the rooftops of Besancon. An excellent place to stay.

It was a bit difficult to initially park, walk with luggage and find the hotel. However, once re-parked it was okay. The room itself was at the end of a very long narrow rabbit-warren of a corridor that was a bit off-putting to start with.

A fabulous experience to return to old style French town centre hotels which offer such a cosy and comfortable environment. So many of these hotels have been lost to the advance of tasteless plastic style hotels on out of town industrial estates. The Hotel de Paris in Bescancon is a true hotel, abounding with architectural and decorational pleasures. For breakast, which is delicious and varied, the dining hall is graciously elegant with a natural wood squeaky floor and on warm days, the outdoor breakfast terrace is marvellous, or for after breakfast coffee. And while enjoying fresh air coffee, admire the beautiful stone architecture. We must all stay in these hotels, in towns, otherwise they will be lost for ever. Car parking at the hotel is limited, however, the nearby underground car park which seems very secure, charged me only one Euro from 7pm to 8am !!

A room safe is always a helpful addition to a hotel room.

The very central location of the hotel, the availability of parking space, the size of the room, the airconditioning of the rooms, the friendly and helpful personnel, the good breakfast.

A small refrigerator for bottled water or drinks in the rooms is, especially for the summer time, necessary because the tap water is not potable.

Absolut central location, stylish design, but i can't recommend our room No 1 (and 2). They are on ground level, directly in front of the parking place, no window. I'sure there a better rooms availble and the the stay would be "9". For one night it was ok. Top: Breakfast and location. Secure parking area.

The room itself.

Location was great although difficult to find. We ended up parking 10 minutes away and walking in.

There was no coffee or tea making facilities in the room, no fridge for water and they only provided paper cups! All rooms looked out over the parking area so guests leaving early were woken up.

Location in the middle of the city with walking distance to all pubs and restaurants. Ultra clean and totally quiet place in the night. Secured parking for travellers like us who is going to Spain by car, Nice hotel for stop and staying for one romanctic or relaaxing night there.

there is nothing to say negative, our experience is only positive, althougt it seems this is not the real customer comment, but YES it is and we were so happy there.

The ambience and decor were lovely and the location very central. The very convenient secure parking was well worth the cost. The breakfast was really great with so much choice and a very pleasant room.

There was no storage in the room or bathroom apart from a rail with 6 coat hangers. The room was very pleasant and freshly decorated but the complete lack of storage was a big issue.

It is a very nice well run hotel, which offers a lovely breakfast.

The parking situation is not really very satisfactory. It’s rather difficult to reach the hotel, where you can drop off your bags, but then you have to go off in search of public parking. This was too far away.
