Hilton Addis Ababa

Swimming pool area was gorgeous. Most staff treated me so well, including the porter and several room service staff who offered to get me a nurse the day I was sick. I tipped all the room service staff because they were so lovely. I also liked all the little shops in the hotel.

One staffer gave me a bit of an attitude when I wanted to print something. Breakfast could be better quality. Tiramisu was also not tiramisu - please see Gennaro Contaldo’s YouTube video for an easy and authentic tiramisu.

Friendly staff

The staff was extremely friendly and was always around to help me with my questions! The property itself is quite beautiful and old-school. I quite liked the ambience of the place.

I felt there could be a bit more variety in terms of food options. But having said that they're doing a really good job with what is on offer.

The building is old and classy. Major renovations since my last stay modernising the place. The staff are consistently professional and so courteous that it takes you to another time. The Kafa restaurant 😋

There were some modernising renovations happening, that meant a bit of noise when sitting outsides. I was assured this is ending soon

The staff was great. The facility was very nice.

The shower head did not function properly. The room was not vacuumed because I lost a nose ring on the floor one day, then found it the next day. If the room was vacuumed, it wouldn't have been there. Plus I had dried crumpled mud from my shoes on the floor and it was still there the next day.

Fabulous architecture and friendly helpful staff in a central location in the city. We had an updated room on the 9th floor facing the garden. Excellent wifi

It would have been great to have had an a La carte option in the restaurant. The more pub like restaurant in the garden had choices from its more basic menu.

The location is great and well protected. The facility and amenity are maintained to the standard. The breakfast is superb.

Staff attitude was not entirely friendly. Sometimes can see visible frustrations for even asking about regular housekeeping stuffs.

Excellent location for navigating the city. Great venue for meetings. Large property you can walk around and enjoy all corners of.

Marked difference between how some staff treat you when you are suited up vs in leisure clothes.

I liked the traditional coffee ceremony corner. The guys in charge of luggage were really very helpful.

At pool area a better discipline and hygiene should be promoted. People often spit and don't take shower before going to swim.

I frequently travel around the continent and have had the pleasure to spend 2 weeks in Hilton Addis Ababa. Right off the bat, the security personnel, the lobby staff, the administration staff such as Ms Hibist & Salem, and not forgetting the wizard IT specialist Mr Misgan, have all been nothing short of exceptional in their service! The hotel boasts a rich history and although may look ancient, but the ambiance of feeling at home will make you not want to leave! The food is exquisitely scrumptious and accommodates an international palate. You will not regret staying here!!!
