Perfect location, very good rock beach and pool with sea water (filling every day). Family room is spacious, nice, clean. Bus station is near, bus 6 goes directly to the city center.

1. Soundproofing is so bad, paper walls, we heard every word, that our neibourgh said. Someone is talking, someone laughing, someone went to the toilet - you hear it all. 2. Poor breakfast, not 5 star at all. The same things every day, and frequently we needed to wait, because meal lots are all empty. Few coffee machines, queues, need to wait. 3. All smoking area in breakfast terrace. I understand, that in Croatia smoking is not forbidden, but we are non-smoking family with small kids. And every breakfast we had to breathe smoke from here and there.. Non-smoking area would be appreciated.

We had an amazing room with a view, huge balcony, fantastically clean, big bathroom and overall extremely spacious. Breakfast each day was lovely although having managed to go and eat at another big hotel near the Royal Blue, we realised the options were somewhat limited. Each morning on the balcony overlooking the water and views was a joy. Get there early and you won't be disappointed. Great coffee.

More options at breakfast and better quality hot food. Staff seemed super unhappy and we weren't sure why. The restaurants onsite that are part of the larger complex for dinner are not great. The day bars are great for a drink and snack but lack really good lunch options. I think in Australia we are spoilt for choice and these didn't live up to the standards we expect. Front desk was always a shambles and the staff always looked harried, angry and unhappy. Vats improvements could be made.

When I read Booking.com reviews, they tend to be lacking because they are standalone and without context. We just finished a trip where we used Booking.com for six stays. We also had five direct bookings. Our Booking.com stays were in Italy (Milano, Genova, La Spezia), Croatia (Dubrovnik, Split) and Paris. Our selection criteria included location, apartment size (60 – 90 sqm), bed comfort, WIFI, washing machine, elevator, coffee maker, bathroom quality. Other nice to haves include toiletries, iron and board, 1st night coffee, breakfast included. All of the places were acceptable, but none checked all the boxes. This was the only booking in a traditional hotel. The location was great but not centrally located. The room is extremely comfortable and has a great bed. The gentle breeze off the Adriatic adds something special. It is a relatively small space (30 sqm). This ranked second of our six bookings.

We had a Deluxe Double Room with Balcony & Sea View: The room met our needs and met our expectations. It was large, comfortable and kept immaculately clean by the daily staff visits. The bathroom was spacious and L'Occitane toiletries were supplied and replenished daily. The cleaning staff were discrete, timely and efficient. The facilities were great, use of three swimming pools and the spa. The public area were kept clean and shiny (fab ceramic tiles everywhere) . The on site bar was friendly and the TV's showing Premier league football a bonus. The view over the Adriatic was magnificent and we were high enough not to hear any noise. A very short walk to the bus stop (end/beginning of the line) was very convenient to get into the Old City and to the port.

The breakfast dining room is shared with other Royal hotels in the vicinity and it ws terribly busy most of the time, particularly 8-9.45 and finding a seat/table on two occasions wAs challenging. The areas for the coffee machines and fruit juices was too crowded and resulted in queues.

We stayed in a seafront room and it was better than even the photos showed . It was big and the view was incredible. The setting on the rocky seafront is spectacular and the loungers with umbrellas placed in amgonst the rocks was great. A little tricky getting in and out of the water but the sea is the so blue and clear it is worth the effort . The rooftop swimming pool and bar is a gem ,great place to relax at the end of the day . Overall a great place for a holiday

The whole hotel complex is big and quite disjointed ,the Royal Blue didn't even have direct access to its own main reception. The breakfast buffet is hopelessly disorganized and you find yourself fighting through queues waiting at the coffee machines, even in the main doorway to the outside seating ,for the number of people it serves it is small, the selection is pretty good though. We found the staff on the whole not that friendly , many didn't even acknowledge you as you passed . We found the food and drinks price high even by Dubrovnik standards and disappointing that a couple of bottles of water weren't complimentary in our room .

Great staff!

Dance music in the breakfast restaurant, and even with so poor loudspeakers that it is only annoying. Why not let the guests enjoy the sound of the waves instead? Would have liked real juice for breakfast. Strange to prioritize serving sparkling wine over real juice.

The beach front location and the resort areas are wonderful e.g. cliff side seats and promenade. The sea view from my room is fantastic. There is a rooftop infinity pool only for 18+ so there is no noisy children. There are several swimming pools next to the beach.

The breakfast is okay but not 4/5 star quality. Coffee machine with instant coffee for 5 star ??? Buffet food is quite basic. No fresh orange juice but watery juices from ??? Limited variety and cheap looking cakes. On the last day on 1st Nov, breakfast was served at Royal Princess restaurant. The breakfast quality there is better and cappuccino/macchiato can be ordered and served by the staff but overall, it's still not 5 star quality. Only the staff service is 5 star quality.

Location was very satisfactory and the outlook from the room great. Outside the arrangement of the beachside accommodation with sun beds was very good. The staff were very attentive and cheerful.

In none of the descriptions on your website did you indicate that Royal Blue was part of a complex of five hotels. The downside of this being that it was like one was on a cruise the only difference being that you could get off when you wanted to! All the restaurants in the complex served similar food with slight variations and the best choice was afforded by walking towards Lapad Bay where independents served much superior food at a reasonable price. Housekeeping left something to be desired.

Lovely hotel, great location and really good facilities. The boardwalk to Lapad Bay was delightful, there are plenty of buses to get into the old town too. We would love to return.

The floor around the big outdoor pool was very slippery. A few guests slipped over while we were there, but then I also slipped and hurt myself quite badly, after which I notified the manager who assured me non-slip mats would be put around the pool. Unfortunately by the time we left several days later there was still no sign of them.
