Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is generous and waiting staff really attentive. Coffee is amazing. It’s great for the money and location was fine for me as I needed closeness to airport but ability to get collected for trip to La Paz Waterfalls (highly recommend)

No problems with anything

The staff were incredible! Due to problems with our airline, we unfortunately missed the first night of our stay, but the staff at La Sabana couldn't be more helpful in rearranging our taxi transfer and then coordinating a night's stay at the end of our holiday to compensate for the missed first night. They truly went above and beyond! The rooms were spacious, comfortable and well-appointed with toiletries and hairdryer, as well as having plenty of information about the hotel, restaurant and local area on display. This helped us make the most of our first day in San Jose with zero stress. Breakfast was delicious and catered to Costa Rican, American and European tastes in the form of very generous portions.

We wish we could have stayed longer to fully make the most of all the facilities on offer!

Highly recommended!!! Beautiful and peaceful, Very clean, the stuff was very kind (reception, cleaning and breakfast). It was our first night in Costa Rica after a long flight, and it was perfect. Comfortable beds. We took the family unit, two rooms, two bathrooms and a saloon. We arrived at night with a taxi that the hotel organized for us, it was helpful and efficient, and only short drive from the airport. Very Very good communication before our arrival. Breakfast was so good and fresh!! And was served with a beautiful smile. The pool and the area around it was pretty and clean. Good wifi. I will be glad to come back.

The whole place is immaculate. The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. Terrific location. Terrific free breakfast (although no bacon). 5 minute walk to park. 20 minute walk to downtown. Uber also really inexpensive here.

These are not complaints, just things typical of all countries I’ve been to in central/south America. Very few electrical outlets, Wifi very slow, room somewhat noisy (I’m a light sleeper and use ear plugs), no wash/face cloths, toilet paper disintegrates on contact with a single drop of moisture.

Everything was perfect! Great location, few restaurants by the hotel and 3 small grocery market and the national stadium are within walking distance. Park La sabana is like 5 mins walking distance. There’s a Starbucks and a Subway, very close! An Uber to the airport was only like $7 for 4 people and about 20-25 mins away. Breakfast was outstanding and so was the staff!

Breakfast, free parking, hot water in the shower. They also offer to schedule an on-site paid Covid test if you need one for travel. Quiet location not too far from the airport.

I think the lamps on the side tables are too big, since there's already limited space on it. A lamp with a smaller base with a slot for charging would be better.

Great variety as breakfast choice that was included with our stay; freshly made and served individually. The room was great as it had a separate bedroom, a living room, a kitchen, and a bathroom accessible from the living room/kitchen area. Practically a full-size fridge, utensils for cooking and eating. Nice looking pool (we did not use it). Two story building, but no elevator which was totally fine.

The only thing I can say that I did not like was that they had some construction on the stairway where we had to pass to get to our room. It was very loud during the day and we were not made aware ahead of time that this would be happening.

Really lovely apartments in a great location. Close enough to the city centre to walk in but far enough out of the centre that it was quiet and peaceful. Also, lovely park nearby. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Very comfortable beds. Was lovely relaxing by the pool watching the various birds after a busy day sightseeing. Breakfast was great, fresh and tasty food and lots of it. Would highly recommend.

Not something I didn't like but just as a note. We used the airport taxi pick up service for our arrival at a cost of $30. It was nice to have someone waiting for us when we landed in San Jose after a long journey and to have a stress free ride to the apartments. However, for our return we got an Uber to the airport, which only cost $12.

The breakfast choices were very good. The hotel was Artistically decorated with beautiful paintings and flower arrangements using exotic tropical flowers. The mosaic murals throughout were very effective and added a joyful tropical enjoyment of the place. The landscape throughout the site was very professionally selected and enhanced the simple architecture of the building. I loved the way they selected coffee plants (trees) with their beautiful foliage to border part of the swimming pool.

PLEASE REMOVE THE MAGAZINES THAT ARE MORE THAN 3 YEARS OLD! Find newer ones with information about nearby places to visit like the Museo de la Artesania and maybe the address to the Instituto de turismo.

amazing location and perfect pool just for adults overlooking the beautiful nature and sea at large.

we took a room for 4 people on booking.com and we got a tiny room which barely fitted 2 double beds and it got very stuffy so my brother decided to take his own room with his friend. When they got that other room it was a huge room with a couch and king size bed probably about 30m2 which would have been much better to fit 2 double beds in than the tiny room of 10m2… it made no sense and I felt like this was done on purpose so that it pushes you to get another room. REALLY unhappy about this.
