I love that the rooms are spacious and that there are also many nice places to sit outside and have a cup of coffee or do a little work (if necessary). The grounds are beautiful and the food is delicious. But beyond all of those things, Margaret is a fantastic host. She goes out of her way to accommodate guests and she is always pleasant. I brought group here in March and the experience was so good that I returned with another group on this trip. I'm confident that we will also stay here on future trips. It's a great place to stay when arriving at SJO or the night before departing.

This is extremely minor, but I'm not a fan of the towels. I just don't like the feel of the material. Definitely not a deal breaker.

Margarita developed a place where she herself would like to stay. It’s a very personal, sincere and beautiful place to be. The rooms are spacious and very original. Beds are great. You can sit outside if you like enjoying the beautiful garden. The breakfast is delicious and there are dinner options on site and great restaurants outside. Margarita is a fantastic original host with who, with her own style, genuinely cares and will do anything to make sure you are taken care off. We all, incl our children of 17&19,yrs enjoyed it very much and we will definitely return. Thanks!!

Margarita, the host, took personal attention to each of her guests needs. She not only prepared cooked to order crepes and eggs for breakfast, but also when guests were hungry for Dinner or Lunch as well. Margarita is a gem of a host and went above and beyond to accommodate our particular needs. Such a nice person. The room was plenty spacious. Even though it was deplete of AC, the timing of our stay the beginning of May, yielded a cooler evening. There are 6-8 rescue dogs that call the property their home and are free to roam. For the most part they are friendly but will greet strangers with barking and then calm down. Margarita brings the dogs in at night so as not to disturb the guests.

No AC, barking dogs. The inability to lock the screen door or screen window in our guest room. Although the property has security camera's throughout, the lack of AC requires that the screens be utilized for air circulation. For travelers to leave their screen doors unlock-able while they sleep is disconcerting. We utilized a couple of slats from under the bed to secure the screen door and window while we slept. I would recommend that the host cut a couple of these shorter so they can more easily drop in horizontally along the slider door floor and the window as well.

3rd year we have been here!! Margarita is a superb host, and her place is so beautiful! She always makes everyone who stays feel like family. She is always updating things on her property, her pool is great, and she has incorporated pool side tables with canopy roofs. Margarita herself does your cooking, and you don't leave hungry! A very relaxing place to stay so serine. Another plus is that her place is 20 from the SJO Airport, but it is hidden away on acres of lush property. If you are in need of a vehicle, she can set you up and pass along great places to eat as well. Will always stay here when visiting Costa Rica!!

Such a pleasant stay! Margarita went above and beyond to take care of our small group of friends. I had lost my charger plug, and she picked one up for me on an errand into town. Her place is only 20 minutes from the airport, yet has a countryside feel. There's a nice sized pool, crepes available for breakfast along with fruit and other options. Margarita has sweet rescued dogs, but they aren't noisy. We really enjoyed our conversations with Margarita and her help with visiting the nearby wild animal rescue center--a must-see place!

Where to start? The place is conveniently located for the airport, the grounds are just beautiful, the pool open at all times (had a lovely night swim under the stars, seeing San Jose's lights twinkle in the background behind the palm trees), room is big and comfy, bathroom looks new, breakfast is delicious - but best of all is possibly Margarita herself. Just soo lovely and helpful!! She won't have it that you waste money on Poas covered in clouds - you see it from her grounds and if clear in the morning you book, and only then! 'House taxi driver' Carlos takes you, waits patiently, and takes you back....

Margarite greeted us late at night and was witty and funny! Great first welcome to CR. Made us feel at home and comfortable. Offered us a cold beer or pop. Was easy to find, we had rental car. Nice area to walk in morning with rich coffee. So many birds to watch.

Our second night there was very hot. Should’ve opened window. Had ceiling fan and one electric fan but there were five of us. Traffic to airport early am was chaotic and busy. Allow alot of time. Defensive driving a must!

Our stay at Margarethe's accommodation was the best start to our vacation after a long flight and the best finish imaginable. Before our trip with a roof tent we had great conversations with her and were very warmly welcomed when we arrived at night. We immediately felt comfortable and also slept very well. Everything is very clean. We booked this accommodation after our first night because of this directly spontaneously for the night before our flight with her. The first day we cooled off in their pool, surrounded by colorful flowers and butterflies, which was great. Here also live very nice dogs, two chickens and two cats that sweeten the stay with their presence. After our vacation in the south of Costa Rica, we unfortunately came back to the accommodation with dengue fever. Margarehte immediately cooked us a tea with fresh leaves to help against it and brought us a little later still by itself, which is absolutely not self-evident. The accommodation is lovingly designed and you can feel that Margarethe manages this flowery place with all her heart and values the life here, the animals and nature. If we come back again, we will definitely book with her again. Thank you so much for everything!!! :)

The grounds and ambiance of the breakfast place. Margarita helped me a lot. She drove me to a restaurant, and the restaurant staff brought me back. She drove me to the zoo . The grounds were wonderful and you can take a short stroll throughout a few times a day. Quiet and restful .

No real restaurant. Hot water only in the shower. Unexpected, but ok once I knew. The towels were made of microfiber and not absorbent . Otherwise, perfect.

Margarite was the most welcoming host. The rooms were big and airy. The beds were very comfy. There were places to get food nearby. This literally felt like a home away from home. The dogs were lovely they now have 6. We were a family of 2 adults and 3 children from Wales UK, and on Margarite recommendation we went to the animal rescue centre nearby which was definitely worth a visit. We saw so many cool animals that were able to roam freely. The Macaws were awesome. Thank you so much Margarite xx
