Hotel Luciano K

The hotel is gorgeous. Period. The breakfast was ample and delicious. The rooftop with (small) swimming pool beautiful. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel is in (short) walking distance to a myriad of restaurants, bars, cafes, a park etc. All-in-all, I loved our stay here and would definitely come back.

My only (small) "minus" would be that the rooms themselves had no windows. Only the bathrooms (which are large & beautiful and connected to the rooms via glass doors) have windows, which for me made the rooms feel just a little dark. If I were staying for a longer period, this would have been more of an issue, but since we only stayed one night, it was OK. Having said this, the beauty of the rest of the hotel more than made up for this one detail.

They used to serve better breakfast. Coffee is bland and eggs came with a lot of shell.

The staff here is so friendly and helpful! The hotel has lots of charm, and the breakfast was yummy.

The area is very central to everything, but the part of town seems less safe than others.

Amazing help! My Mom needed to go to the hospital and Sebastian was incredible with translating exactly what we needed - and directing us to the best health care facility. We used his translation multiple times - and it was just what we needed to get the best and specific care possible! And Nicolas was wonderful with working out a late checkout so that we could go back to the hospital. Brian at the front desk and Christian at the bar were the best too! We also loved the waitress at breakfast - so friendly and accommodating. Excellent service all around - thank you so much!

The description mentioned slippers and robes. We had to request them, and the robes were quite old and scratchy - but very clean! I almost don't want to even mention this as the ENTIRE staff was friendly, beyond helpful and excellent! We adored everyone there.

Booked this hotel at the last minute for a night in Santiago and was delighted we did. It has a really cool old art deco feel which makes it really unique (its named after a 1920s architect who designed it) - they still have the original lift which was apparently the first in Chile. The hotel is absolutely perfectly placed in the trendy (and safe) Lastarria neighbourhood, so you have the city's best restaurants and bars on your doorstop, plus all of the major sites are easily walkable from here. Its about a 20 minute cab ride from the airport (we took an Uber as it was half the price of the transfer). Breakfast was a supreme quality, we enjoyed the sauna and the rooftop "pool", and the receptionist was the most welcoming and friendly guy we encountered during our time in South America.

Only possible thing I can think of is that the rooms don't get any sunlight as the windows are internal facing

Nikolas at the front desk was so helpful and supportive - just the person we needed to welcome us to Chile for our first time. He was genuinely concerned that we have a good time during our stay! He even helped us arrange a day trip to Valparaiso. The hotel breakfast was a big highlight of our stay, especially the eggs which are made to order. The elevator at the hotel is the second oldest in the country and has the old style sliding cage - very cool and makes the place unique! Rooms are small but stylish, more a place to spend the night than a place to hang out, which was how we planned to spend our time. At first we thought there were no closets - but it turns out the closet doors just blend into the walls so well we didn't notice them! The beds were very comfy and the shower is big enough for two people to comfortably fit and even has a ledge to sit on. The location is excellent and within walking distance of many good restaurants, Cerro Santa Lucia, and public transit, so you won't need a car.

From the outside, the place is easy to miss. Almost walked by it a couple of times! The rooftop terrace wasn't open while we were there but I imagine it is nice.

It is the friendly staff and the well-built architecture that give off lots of good vibes. This Art Nouveau hotel was built by well-known Chilean architect Luciano Kulczewski - and thus features great attention to detail, many beautiful features and Santiago's oldest lift. The hotel has been carefully modernised and has a great rooftop bar and a rooftop swimming pool. The staff went out of their way to help in an emergency situation and the location in the Lastarria district close to a Metro station was very convenient, breakfast buffet very good.

We can only rave about our stay! The staff were exceptional, it was the best customer service we received in a 4 weeks trip in South America. Our room was beautiful, spacious and well equipped. The wifi was fast and consistent. The breakfast buffet was delicious and they accommodated an early meal one morning before we needed to leave. The area was safe enough at night with lots of restaurants and bars near by.

Easier access to filtered water would have been nice

Hotel was beautiful with lots of period features, including an incredible old-school elevator (there is a modern one also). Rooms were lovely with plenty of storage space, comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Breakfast was buffet style with eggs cooked to order. Honesty bar was fabulous and exceptionally well stocked. Location was very central and great for exploring Santiago. Staff were superb - very friendly, professional and incredibly helpful. Really enjoyed our stay and would very much recommend.

Extremely friendly service, awesome breakfast with made to order eggs that were delicious. Room overlooked the fountain with windows that opened. TV had streaming ability. The room was very nice and had beautiful character. The Rooftop was also really nice. Really enjoyed our experience there. Awesome architectural details and history.

The area directly around the hotel seemed to die down at night.
