Hotel Gault

Hotel Gault is located in Old Montreal. Our premium corner room provided ample space and all necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. Thanks to the large windows the room was flooded with natural light, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The friendly and welcoming reception staff greeted us every time with a smile and made their best to ensure that we felt like at home. The a la carte breakfast offered a reasonable variety and good quality, ensuring a great start to our day.

The hotel’s location in Old Montreal has its drawbacks. While it was convenient to explore the nearby harbour and highlights of the old town on foot, venturing into other districts required lengthy walks. The immediate area surrounding the hotel was partly unattractive, with an empty (parking?) lot and large construction cite nearby. The city council tried to improve the ambiance by projecting an art cinema on the walls of a desolated warehouse in the evening, but that didn’t help much (partly because the movie that they bimmed was rather depressive). Hotel Gault has a pet-friendly policy. While it is great for the pet owners, those with allergies or sensitivity to animals should take this into account when booking the place.

I can’t describe in words how amazing this hotel and the entire staff is. My partner and I stayed for 5 nights initially we loved it so much we extended our stay by 3 nights and the hotel also gave us an upgrade. I definitely recommend this hotel to everyone if you are debating about booking it. The LOCATION is excellent as well, it is within walking distance to mostly everything in Old Port. The staff goes above and beyond in making your stay amazing. The service was incredible. We could eat breakfast in our room which was a really big plus as we were always running late. Special thanks to Osman at the front desk for making our stay extra special and giving us all the tips on what to do and how to get around. We will definitely stay at this hotel when we come back to Old Port.

We had an outstanding good experience at Hotel Gault. The welcome already was personal and nice, they offered a parking for a very fair price. The room was simply great and spacious and there was everything there you need. Cookies in the evening, service in the evening, coffee capsuals have been filled upt daily, the bed has been great and the breakfast with fantasy. But best has been a staff and team, which was extremely friendly and helpful. They gave us good recomendations for our next place to go, helped us with ideas about what to see......recommeded fine restaurants and have really been a support. One of the best hotels I have been and an outstanding service also

Nothing to complain

I liked the cleanliness, the kindness of the staff is fantastic, and also the location, between the Old Dtw and Downtown, is fantastic for my trip purposes. The included breakfast is awesome, they offer a good choice of dishes.

They charge for an extra bed, and it's not cheap, since the extra-bed is the way they use to compute the 3rd person in the overall charge. No problem. However, it's not mentioned on Booking, so you plan your travel expenses thinking that room is for 3, or you will pay a little bit extra, and have a surprise when you get to the check-in. It's stated that the room have a queen bed, and the extra is available. Anyway, the price charged for it is a not-so-good surprise, and the extra-bed is a day-bed. The room have plenty space to accomodate a sofa / 3rd bed permanently.

Everything!! The location was incredible, the staff went above and beyond, the breakfast was delish, and the bed was amazing. So comfortable. My daughter (6) and I had a delightful time. shout out to Alexandra and the team who gave us a stay to remember- the little touches like the fine pastries and hand written note wishing us a happy birthday when we arrived, to all the orange juice for the kiddo, and the card with breakfast…I mean. it was just first class service. And walking distance to Cirque!!

They didn’t have valet when I went, but it is back this week!!! and they let us park in the private hotel parking for $30. it was perfect.

Great hotel, it looks modern, great location, the beds are comfortable, additional the toiletries and set-up in the mini bar, they even leave a welcome letter (the devil is in the detail). Breakfast was also great. And the most important part is the personnel, they are extremely attentive, which makes the stay even better.

The chairs in the bedroom were a bit dusty and one of them had a hole in it. Not something to be worried about, but keeping the chairs in good shape is something that can make the room shine even more.

The room was very clean. A good size very quite and modern. We would have appreciated having a comfy sofa/chairs in the room to be able to relax on other than the bed.

The house keeping wasn’t available at all times, we requested for a bottle of water at around 4 in the afternoon and was told to wait till 6 to receive it as that’s when house keeping will be available

This is the coolest boutique-style hotel we have ever experienced. The staff were relaxed and welcoming. They put us at our ease, and while attending to all our needs were never acting in a subservient manner. The loft room was exquisite. The turn-down service and the welcoming treats were amazing. The breakfast of smoked salmon was great! The valet service was smooth and very needed in the crowded downtown streets. We were walking distance to galleries and restaurants.

There was absolutely nothing we didn't like.

Everywhere was always clean and the breakfast was great.

This is not specific to just the hotel but a lot of establishments in Old Montreal do not have easy accessibility for baby strollers and you always have to carry the strollers up and down the stairs to enter a lot of the buildings which can easily become stressful if you are visiting a lot of places with a baby in a stroller.

The location was excellent, the room was large and there was a bath, which is rare! The bed was comfortable and there was a coffee machine, tea and bottled water which were replenished daily. The shower was very good and lots of Molton Brown products were provided. Thanks for the Christmas gift. 👍

The room was a bit too warm at times and it didn’t seem to be possible to turn the air con lower. The window shutters were broken and let light in so we had to wear eye masks.
