DoubleTree by Hilton Kitchener

Location was great as we were visiting family who are located all around the Kitchener/Waterloo area. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. We had a noisy neighbor towards the end of our stay and the staff quickly moved us to another room away from the partiers.

Rooms with adjoining doors seem to lack adequate sound proofing. If you don't need an adjoining room I recommend ensuring you don't get assigned one as you will likely hear every conversation that happens next door.

The lounge was nice, the bed was nice, the shower Was good, the room was a good size

I did not like that there was no fan in the bathroom. There was a fan it seemed, but I had no way to turn it on, it did not come on with the lights. Also, my sink drain was plugged and drained very slow. The towel rack was bent and the peep hole in the door was broken. So there was some simple wear and tear that could of been repaired

Traveling with children, it would have been preferred for a free continental breakfast. Other than that, great stay and I would book again

There was a couple with a dog that hung out in the pool area a long time, they were over friendly so scared the kids a bit.

The room was a good size and clean.

The price I purchased with booking.com was not the price the hotel had. I had to wait 35+ minutes in the lobby while they talked to managers and figured it out. I was upgraded for the inconvenience and did receive the price I booked for.

Location was great as restaurants were within walking distance. Staff were helpful and friendly. Hotel itself was clean.

The pool was really cold, it would have been nicer for it to be temperature regulated but overall was still fine.

After we checked in and got the key, when we entered to the room, the keys are not working. So, we went back to the front desk, the staff Heather helped us to change to another available spare room in the same floor. She even offered us a complimentary dinner for the night for the inconvenience, which was very nice gesture. Then when we checked out, the other staff at the front desk (male, but I forgot his name), he was not there when we checked in, but he apology about the inconvenience when we checked in. Overall, we had excellent experience for staying there, foods was good, customer service was excellent, room and the entire hotel is spotless. I would highly recommended you stay if you are in Kitchener.

it was very open and fancy in the lobby. The roads are super nice. They had a lot of accommodations. They give you free cookie when you checked in and when you checked out. The staff was super nice and helpful

Rooms are big, comfy beds, personnel is super friendly. Good beer on tap, solid wooden crib available for our LO. Indoor small pool and shopping available right in front

I like the location as I am familiar with the general are, the continental breakfast was great service good decor was inviting. had a good stay

the bath towels I thought were a bit small there were three adults and only towels for two we needed to ask for the third. the place was quiet and the stay was great

Heated floors in the bathroom

An air-vent screen was duct-taped to the sealing at the pool. The Tape got loose and the screen fall off the 20 foot sealing onto the floor beside the pool where we were swimming! The price charged to my card was different than the price at the time of booking on Booking.com I had to visit the front disk for a price adjustment. An extra charge of $8.95 was added to my card after our stay at the hotel. No email or notification on what the charge was for.
