Residence Inn by Marriott Kingston Water's Edge

Our room was excellent and we were pleased that we could get into it earlier than the normal check in time to allow us to get dressed for our son’s convocation. Breakfast was good, warm and easy to get.the facilities were clean. Our checkout was easy.

I would have liked the option of softer pillows as the ones that were provided were a bit hard. The top drawer on the bedside table doesn’t close properly. It didn’t affect my stay but could cause and accident. Finally, I thought the price of the room was hefty for Kingston but clearly the inn can command it with a captive population arriving for convocation.

The room we booked was up pretty high and had a nice view to the water , the room was clean and had 2 tvs (one in main area and second in bedroom) . There was also a fully stocked kitchen with a dish washer .

There wasn't much to not like , the room was clean , view was nice and all. My only 2 complaints is having to pay for parking when paying for a room already , no dish washer fluid around and when inspecting the coffee machine , there was residue at the bottom of the water reservoir . Pretty minor complaints , but the paying for parking thing kind of confused me. 30$ parking for a day . I could see them charging for parking if you aren't staying at the hotel, but hmmm.

Rooms are big, spacious, clean, and well equipped. There was complementary weekend breakfast which was surprisingly good. The location of the hotel is great, with nice views right on the waterfront and a short walk to gelato shops and restaurants and sights. Staff very efficient, informative, and helpful.

Room was a little tired and dated. Otherwise would be perfect.

This hotel is located on the waterfront and has beautiful views of the St. Lawrence River! They upgraded our room to a water view without us asking which was awesome! We also asked for an early arrival and a late departure which both were granted without any issues or extra fees!

Although we loved having our room upgraded we were not advised that it was a room with an adjoining door to another room. There is definitely more noise travelling between the rooms with these doors but our neighbours were also considerate and were reasonably quiet!

I liked the flexibility of having the mini kitchen. It was closer to our venue than previous years and enjoyed being able to access the ice skating nearby

Provide a kettle in the room for making tea. The pull out couch mattress needs to he replaces as the springs were felt through the mattress all week. Provide a second a duvet for the pullout rather than just another blanket

Our family stayed 1 night on our way home from Quebec, and we we were very impressed end-to-end. From the warm and professional reception, to the free upgrade to a top floor room with an amazing view, we could not have imagined a better experience. Located right on the lake, with a pleasant walk to all the hotspots, I would highly recommend this hotel.

The only thing I didn’t like was leaving this excellent hotel after only one night.

Loved the large suite style room, great easy parking, friendly quick check in, the indoor pool / hot tub was fantastic, the complimentary breakfast was wonderful, extremely close to Kingston Downtown Waterfront area, walked to a lovely restaurant for dinner. Perfect stay.

Excellent location and wonderful staff - friendly and accommodating.

Two weird things was the bottom fitted sheet was about a foot too short for the bed so it was always riding up. Small detail but annoying. Second, Coffee maker was really dated so did not have an automatic turn-off so accidentally left it on all day.

The location and the view from the room were great. The rooms were also very good and clean. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The staff was also very friendly and helpful.

The options at the breakfast are limited. They also charged like 30 dollars plus tax per night for the parking which is a lot and technically should not be charged as an extra.

Friendly efficient staff on reception allowed us to check in early. That was great as it was a wet afternoon. Our suite on the 8th floor was excellent with a lovely harbour view. Large, comfortable with a fully equipped kitchen with hot plates, microwave and dishwasher.

The weather but I guess you can’t blame the hotel for that.
