Lord Nelson Motel

For my needs, the location was perfect. Near hwy 401 for quick access across Kingston, on Rt 15 within a mile of good places to eat as well as 10 minutes from downtown, and next to a A&W/gas station for quick needs. Room was very clean and the AC unit didn’t wake me up like at many motels/hotels. Staff was very friendly and helpful with recommendations. Greeted by a cool cat as well.

Bed was very firm, which I like, but you may want to bring a topper if you don’t.

The room was very big, the bedding was clean, their was toiletries and towels provided daily. Their was a coffee maker with coffee and tea pods daily. Milk was olso provided. The tv had loads of chanels to watch various chanels on. It had a balcony which had a small table and chair to sit out round the back. It was near a shopping mall and about 15 minutes drive into Kingstone which was very nice. It olso had a chair just out side of each room. Parking was free and their was plenty of parking space.

The shower was a bit hard to control water level.

Although an older Motel, the facilities offered a secure, clean, quiet, and affordable place to rest our head. It is located near Highway 401 (hardly hear the noise) and it is less than 10 minutes away from downtown Kingston. There are a couple of restaurants that are walking distance and you can fuel up next door. It is the convenient for all your needs.

Some little repairs, here and there. It is an older building with "character". If you want a great place that is reasonably priced for providing a great roof over your head, met with great, friendly service then I recommend the Lord Nelson Motel. Will certainly be the place to return to when I visit that area again.

The room was large, clean, and quiet. Beds were comfy. The bathroom was upgraded and had nice tiles, new toilet, and sink. The carpet was is good condition with no stains. I likes the fact that the TV was new and that there was a microwave and fridge available. The location is just off the 401 and is within walking distance of A & W. There are also a Duchess Pub, Tim Horton's and St Louis Rib Restaurant. We were very satisfied with the room and its price. We would recommend staying at the Lord Nelson Motel. The leaves were changing and we had an excellent view of the fall colors.

We were so pleasantly pleased with the view from our room. We enjoyed watching the sun set from our balcony. They had a wonderful area out front with picnic tables, a place for a fire, and the fair lights were a hit with my kids. Bed were comfy, location was exceptional. We would stay here again!

Doors would slam when they caught the wind, which was all the time. We just had to be more aware and find ways to avoid it slamming..

from the outside you would think the rooms would be dated, but they are modern and big and clean - the cleanliness is very important to us. the matresses are the first thing I look at in a room. It was way quieter than I though it would be for being so close to the highways which was awesome, and I loved the area out front with the firetable and lighting, it was so easy to relax there.

Everything was clean! Bed was comfortable!

The scent in the room (fabric softener or other ?) was really strong - we know several people who would not have been able to stay because of sensitivity/allergy to scents which causes migraines; Electrical outlets, close to the bed, were very loose - we weren't sure the plugs were going to stay put; There was quite a fluctuation in water temperature when having a shower! An exhaust fan in the bathroom would be helpful. :)

I already filled in a review but I will try to repeat what I previously said.... Front desk staff were quite friendly. The room was nice and large (1 bed, queen). It was really clean! Always appreciate that very much! A Ma & Pa old style motel with a little snack shelf in the front office to buy from (popcorn, chips, pop). The furniture visibly needs updating but was fine and comfortable enough for the price range. Great location if you need to hop off and on the highway and really not that far a drive from downtown Kingston. Overall a good, clean, comfortable stay.

The view out the window and from the balcony would have been much nicer without the machinery in the back. But as I do not know why those things were there, it's not a huge deal.

The bed was great and comfortable rooms were clean service was great. Lots of shade close to everything had great stay and would recommend the Lord Nelson to everyone wanting a great place to stay within budget.

There was absolutely nothing to complain about.always cleaned rooms. Replace the coffee and tea. And above all the bathrooms were well kept and clean. And beds are very comfortable would definitely stay here every time I come to Kingston in fact this was the second stay here.

This is a delightful motel. The room is quite large and *exceptionally* clean. The room has all the amenities you would want - a light and shelves on either side of the bed, a fridge, microwave, coffee maker with good coffee, even real creamers in the fridge. The motel is clearly built on a hill as there is actually a balcony off the back of the room and because it's up on a hill, I was able to open the curtains and still have privacy with a view of the evergreens in the distance. There was a table and chairs to eat at, an easy chair and small table to sit in if desired. The bed was king-sized and very comfortable. The location is right off the 401 highway, easy to get to and easy to get back on the highway. A solid ten plus all around!

There wasn't anything I didn't like!
