Thermae Palace

Located just a few steps outside the more populated area , this old partial renovated building in art deco & colonial style , has a warm vibe. Fourth stay here in different rooms. Rooms are great when they have sea view and terrace . This is what you shoud take if you wish a real holiday feeling. Breakfast in buffet style is traditional. the hotel has a private parking which is very convenient.

Amenities in the bathroom are a bit short. The bathroom itself and the bath are oldish but clean. The hotel is part of a larger building. some adjacent parts still need renovation.

The room was goood. The location is also very good. Straight near the beach. The bathroom was excellent. Very big and you can find everything you need. Also there were some beach chairs in the room which you can use on the beach. That was very cool and useful.

The breakfast can be improved. For example the hotel can add porridge or something like this. The building itself looks very old and unpleasant. Some of the staff rooms were also very old and significant repair required. When you walk through the hall and see them this is no good.

The hotel is quite grandiose and has a very beautiful architectural structure. It is from a whole other era and has a sort of “back-in time” feeling which is quite interesting to travel to, in addition to the sea shore. The room was very spacious, comfortable, clean and with a large bathroom and having a large window with sea-view (as requested).

Most of the staff was young and even though they were very nice, there can be a bit of improvement in their training. Also the breakfast choice was correct but not very large. It felt as if everyone was either in a summer camp vacation or some reminiscing communism era (which I know well, so not necessarily to take as a negative remark). But they are trying to make everything work, given that the hotel is huge and could potentially be lost in the future, which would be quite a pitty. Last, the soap and shampoo samples were limited to a person and we were two, so definitely not enough for a two days stay.

Rooms were spacious. Ideal location next to the beach. Air quality was very good and the staff was very helpful. We had a flickering light on the ceiling and my partner has epilepsy, so not good. But they went and immediately worked on it and solved the issue. The building is quite nice. The sport facilities were good as well. Service in the brasserie and at breakfast was good.

The breakfast was too expensive for what it had to offer. Their english breakfast wasn't bad but also not great and was a bit lacking. I expected a bit more of a choice for breakfast in general. There are no charging posts for electrical cars.

The hotel had so much old world charm - I could just see the ladies in their big hats and sundresses sitting on the terrace enjoying some iced tea. Service was very good and staff were friendly. The location could not be beat - right on the beach and walking distance to many wonderful restaurants.

I would have enjoyed a spa on-site in addition to the massages & sauna. It is always a special treat when on a vacation to get your nails done or some other esthétique service.

Very beautiful building, like steppibg back in the glourious '20s. The bedroom was very big and silent, the bed was large and very confortable. Nice with a new gym. The staff was very nice and helpful. The restaurant has very good food and is not that expensive.

The location on the beach ia nice, vut the surrounding is ugly and depressing, like the city as a whole. But that's not the hotel's fault...

Direct access to promenade and beach, close to city centre. Parking lot near enterance and can be used until 23h of checkout day, monumental and historic building, many sofas near reception desk and corridor, extensive breakfast, spacious room, good wifi

Once you booked the room you get spammed by their mails. Don't forget to lift the door handle up to enter the room. Windows not cleaned regularly, carpet not hoovered, bathroom bit dated, breakfast is fantastic, pity that some fruits were not ripe (melon and passionfruit)

I love thé location, so easy to go to the beach it’s amazing! And the hotel can look a bit old but I love it, its authentic. Overall it was an amazing experience with my son 9 years old. Breakfast is ok and the brasserie Albert is really good

Maybe they can improve some renovation outside (on the side of the beach) because it’s not so clean and looks a bit abandoned when you walk under patio.

I stayed in a room with a sea view and terrace. The view is spectacular. The room is very well proportioned, with a high ceiling of around 3.80 metres. The interior design might be described as "modern maritime", in predominantly white, with a blue carpet and curtains, and contemporary photos of the beach. The lighting in the room is excellent. The room was very quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the multilingual ladies on the breakfast shift. Breakfast is served in the hotel restaurant, a beautiful space with a view of the beach. Overall, the hotel is reminiscent of the setting of an Agatha Christie novel - without the murders!

There is no wardrobe, just an open rack for hanging clothes. This makes the room appear larger, but also more untidy, in my opinion. The hairdryer isn't very hot. The bathroom has some original fittings - the bath might be difficult for people with limited mobility.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Very good and spicy rooms! Great location and great hotel feeling! Apples for free!

Maybe the hotel could have mentioned on their site that there are works going on on the beach since some time - it was not really possible to sleep with open windows because of the noise (during the whole night!). If I had known I would not have paid the extra amount per night for the sea view! Breakfast OK, a bit pricy because after all, it was a standard breakfast with for instance not a great choice of bread, or no fresh boiled eggs to order. Suggestion: make a cozier lounge around the reception area where people can sit during the day and evening, with some international newspapers and magazines, and a bar.
