Novotel Mechelen Centrum

This was a very new . The whole place appeared to be exceptionally clean. The bathroom has a shower and a bath and the bath had a shower attachment (low down not on the wall). Toilet was separate which was good. We were on 5th floor so could have the windows open and my bedroom was not on the street so very very quiet. Literally 5 minutes leisurely walk to the historic square. Very secure parking underneath the hotel

Parking was expensive €20 for overnight

Good location, plenty of restaurants within 5 mins walking. Attractions are within walking distance too. Basement parking available. Spacious room comes with fridge, kettle, desk and sofa. I like they separated toilet and the shower so that we do not have to wait for each other in the morning.

A bit further from train station, will be challenging if you would like to walk from Mechelen station with luggage. You reviewed Best Western Northfields Ealing Hotel.

Perfect location, just across from the Vismarkt with restaurants. Also close to Grote Markt. Carpark Lamot was right under the hotel, very narrow to drive in and out, but the parking lots were regular size and it was not busy when we were there. Room was lovely, perfectly maintained, nice features, spotless.

The room was very hot, eventhough it was 5-8 degrees outside. Ended up having aircon on 15 degrees and highest fan, which made it doable.

This is an excellent hotel which perfectly matched my expectations for a 4 star hotel. The location of the hotel is convenient - it is quite close from the railway station and there is a good supermarket in the building nearby. The rooms are comfortable and include a table which is useful for business trips together with good Wi-Fi. The beds are convenient; also, the sound isolation within the rooms is quite good and I have very calm sleep during the whole period of stay. The breakfast is good and has quite some variety. However, what I particularly liked about the hotel is an extremely helpful and very polite staff (from the reception to the cleaners/waiters). Also, the hotel has a restaurant on the premises which I would highly recommend - the prices are very fair for Belgium and the quality of food / portion sizes definitely exceeded my expectations (soups/stews are particularly recommended).

Nothing. The breakfast could use even more variety, but the available food is nice and perfectly sufficient to have a good start in the day.

The breakfast was well worth. The bed was comfy and quite hallway.

The bathroom gets very wet because you have to get out of the shower to get your towel after you shower. And the bath is a bit too small if you are tall. And the staff did not ask 2 guests without mask to put their mask on at the breakfast area whilst getting their breakfast. Parking on Saturday is a drama.

Location is very good, just 10 second walk to river and inside the city center. What make it best is their stuffs, I got a lot of help from all three receptionists, as well as their kitchen stuffs! Our kid enjoyed their kids corner a lot, and you can also get free bread near reception:)

Great location in old town, just 1 min from bus stop from/to both Mechelen train stations. friendly and helpful staff. Coffee and kettle in the room. Separate toilet in the room.

the sofa bed makes the room smaller, the aide-bed table are really small with the huge hotel room on it. Tiny bathroom but both with shower and bath. Carpets look dirty or just need to be changed to new. I don’t like the corridors’ “perfumes”.

Comfortable, cosy, and clean accommodation. Bed linens could be better quality but overall, particularly good. Broad selection of breakfast, every option tasteful besides all dishes under heating lamps (for ex. pancakes).

Low speed Wi-Fi - 5mbps free and 10mbps paid only over wireless. It is abomination in 2022, especially for hotel placed in city center under the umbrella of Accor group.

The hotel is located on a 5 minute walk from the ancient city center and there's plenty of bars and restaurants in the vicinity, but it's nevertheless very quiet in the rooms. There's an underground parking directly underneath the hotel, so no problem carrying luggage.

The bed of our daughter was smaller than in Novotel Brugge a few days earlier, and breakfast was way more expensive.

Clean room comfortable bed and the staff were all very helpful. Although we didn’t have breakfast we did eat in one evening and dinner was excellent. Great selection of beers and cocktails at the bar and service was very efficient. The location was perfect for getting around and we would recommend this hotel to others
