ibis Wien Hauptbahnhof

Clean, comfortable bed, excellent breakfast and easy check-in. Very close to train station. Walking distance to everything or easy tram access. The staff were really wonderful, they deserve 10/10

I prefer when rooms have a mini fridge. No extra pillow. I personally don't like pump soap for shower that all guests share. I think it's more hygienic to have little soaps and shampoo for each guest.

The room was clean and comfortable, some of the best nights sleep I've had recently. The area was very quiet at night. The hotel was right next to the Hauptbahnhof station which made travelling to the city very easy. The breakfast area and the selection of foods was amazing.

I know it's not a standard thing in Europe but the lack of a kettle was a minor thing. We had to go to the bar area to order and pay for any cups of tea that were needed. Sometimes some of our glasses were not washed and wash gel not filled up when close to empty, so we had to go to the reception ourselves to ask for them to be changed. These were minor things for what was a great hotel.

Room was different from other Ibis hotels I stayed. It looked like a 4 or 5 Star hotel. The location was so convenient for those travelling by train. U have to just cross the road and hotel is right there. The Room corridor was presentable. Room was big and the bed was comfortable. There's alot of food stalls in the train station. Asian and local foods. I enjoy my dinner there during my trip. There is also a small supermarket in the train station.

The cupboard looked odd and the placing was not that impressive had trouble putting in my handbags. There was no boiler in the room. When asked the front office for boiler they said hot water is available at the bar 24hrs. We suppose to leave the hotel early for a tour. So I had to bring down my Instant noodles to get the hot water. My view was facing a office building. U can see clearly wat is happening inside the office same goes from the other side. So remember to close your curtains before changing or you will be giving a free strip show to the office staffs.

We chose this hotel to stay just one night, to be close to the train station, so that we could go to the airport easily. Very convenient location, just by the train and metro stations and walking distance to Belvedere palace and gardens. Air condition working perfectly well, which was very important at the time of unexpected heat waves of Vienna.

There was no minibar at the room, but we asked to use the refigerator at the reception and problem solved. The room is small, typical IBIS sizes. Very convenient for 1-2 nights, but would not be easy if we stayed longer.

I was very impressed! Staff- all members were kind, helpful and spoke English. There was always someone at the desk, and they graciously refilled my water bottle a dozen times (it was hot out!). Location- although not in the center, it is right across the street from central station (all trains, underground, buses, trams you could possibly need- and it wasn't noisy!). *****There is a train from the airport to this station, it takes 15 mins and 4.5€ which is MUCH cheaper than taxis. Also, on my way back I had to leave very early and there were no trains, but a direct bus to the airport leaves from the main station ( takes about 25 min and 9€). So location was ideal for airport transportation. Also, there were a number of restaurants in walking distance and central station was full of "fast food" places (open quite late) and 2 supermarkets. Some days I chose to walk to attractions /the center, which is easy if you dont mind walking 30-40 mins and discovering gems (like a park with ducks :) on the way. Room- very clean (which is really important to me), spacious, modern, comfortable bed and AC. Wifi always worked. Breakfast- eggs, bread asortment, cheese, meat/bacon, fruit, waffle maker, veggies, pastries and coffee /juice. The breakfast room was always tidy and restocked. Again, staff were great. I really enjoyed my stay, would glady stay there again.

Room is clean with good city view(quiet) and amenities in the bathroom. They provide both normal and hot drinking water to fill your bottle at the lobby. It locates near Wien train station and easy to find fast meals and snack. Staffs are also nice.

If you transfer from airport by airport express trains which ending at CAT, you have to go with another public transport to reach this hotel. In our room, there were a bit clogged pipe in wash basin. We’ve told them but it wasn’t fixed. We had no time to ask them at the lobby again(there’re no telephone in the room) so we’ve avoided to use it.

The staff kindly gave me an early checkin, which was so helpful. Other than that, I feel it is the best 3-star hotel during my travel within Europe. - Strategic location. Just next to Wien hbf, no stress for me to catch a train - Clean and spacious room. - Comfortable bed. They put a soft topping, which makes the bed more relaxing than many 3-star hotel I’ve stayed. - Good breakfast - Usb charging point. This is quite important to me. I hope more hotels can offer USB style charging in rooms - The greeting card in the room said that if anything is broken/not functioning and it is hotel’s responsibility, they will fix it in 15 minutes. And they really did. The hair dryer was broken and they sent over a portable hair dryer.

Though the hair dryer problem is solved, I have to say the hair dryer was not handy, very weak fan and you are basically drying your hair by heat. But this is a minor concern for me.

The hotel is just a few meters away from the station, so it was perfect for us coming by train to leave our luggage as soon as we arrived and start exploring the city (search exit canetti street, after restaurants Wienerwald and Asia Food). There is a tram stop for tram D just 2 minutes away, which arrives in the city center in 10 minutes and goes around the entire ring. There were several other tram and buses options near and of course the metro inside the station, but the tram D was by far the easiest, most comfortable (and panoramic) one. The room was spotless clean when we arrived and identical to the pictures you see on the web, it was cleaned and rearranged every day and what was most surprising, really quiet. I have stayed in hotels near a metro station before and it got really noisy, but here you cannot hear a single sound from the outside, even though you’re opposite the hauptbahnhof. Last but not least, the breakfast was excellent. There was something for every taste and you could even make yourself a fresh waffle. All the staff was really nice and young and the check in took only a couple of minutes, while for the check out you can simply leave your card on the staff desk if you wish. Also the staff at breakfast was really helpful and attentive. In short, my experience at the hotel was really above expectations, especially considering the price I paid, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming by train to visit Vienna for a few days.

Everything went well, can’t really complain about anything.

The kindness of the people at the breakfast area was remarkable. The breakfast itself was really good (best scrambled eggs ever). Comfort overall was very high, and the location for us was perfect, as we wanted to do some side trips, and having the train station as a neighbor as an intentional choice.

Room cleaning was not optimal. The cleaning personnel never refilled our soap (we had to ask for additional one, and when we had the refill, they simply didn't install it - it requires to know how to do it), the towels simply accumulated instead of being changed, and the bed was barely done. It's minimal things, but so easy improvements that deserve attention.

main train station soo near. breakfast food .room.all the facilities we need . good Aircon. really clean. b-room .love the ambiance soothing young and with a light touch . love love love -shower so for me its the best.( thank God - no bathtub.). The staff functions quickly , Helpful and pleasant really nice ppl. Everything is handled quickly. immediately . we are returning to that IBIS again and again. honestly , for a 3*** its SO GREAT 🥰

There is no carpet in the room or at least a small rug by the bed . other than that its all great.
