Novotel Geelong

Room was good and clean we didn't spend much time in it so size was ok. bed comfortable and shower good.

Parking was not good and expensive for a 24 hour period if you used it. Parking down the street in 3 hour zone is unacceptable. The thing that we were VERY disappointed in was the fact that there were 2 flag poles out the front of the building one flag was the Novatel flag and the other was the aboriginal flag. NO AUSTRALIAN FLAG!!!!!!! So there should be 3 flag poles in our opinion or remove the Novatel Flag or the ABORIGINAL flag - the ABORIGINEES are AUSTRALIANS TOO - or are they a different identity all together - or are we all Aboriginal and entitled to the same rights. This needs to be fixed for us to consider staying again.

I had a wonderful one-night stay at this hotel. The hotel's location was perfect, offering stunning views of the surrounding area. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, providing a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. I also enjoyed the delicious dining options close to the hotel and the suggestion of activities from the check in staff. Overall, my experience was fantastic, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Geelong.

I am visiting Geelong for the first time because I live in Sydney, but I liked this place very much, especially Novotel. Great location. The treatment of the staff is excellent and the cleanliness is also there. We felt comfortable. My husband and I were going to celebrate our second wedding anniversary.

We were frustrated because we could not get a parking space because the hotel did not have a free parking so we were forced to pay a sum to park our car for one day the hotel should provide free parking space.

Location. Room was nice. We paid for a Seaview and enjoyed the balcony. The Reception area was functional but a bit sparse. Could be more welcoming. We really enjoyed the breakfasts, but not the coffee. Sometimes we had to wait over 15 mins for our drink to arrive. It’s a pity you don’t serve tea in a teapot for breakfast as the thermos flask water is never hot enough to brew in a cup. It might seem a small detail but a nice cup of tea first thing in the morning is one of my delights.

We had one evening meal. Fish and chips and found it to be poor quality and overpriced. It put us off dining there again.

We had a wonderful time at Novotel Geelong celebrating a special birthday. The room was comfortable, light and attractive with a view of Eastern Beach.. We enjoyed the facilities of the hotel very much as the weather was cold and rainy over the time we were there. We had pleasant drinks in the bar and a beautiful breakfast on our second.day.The staff were friendly and accommodating. The manager, John, was very friendly and went out of his way to ensure guests had a personal experience. This made our stay a memorable experience. The Eastern Beach area is lovely place to visit.

The pool was lovely. Room temperature was nice and bed very comfortable. View was fabulous.

Our key cards didn't work straight away and then stopped working again before we checked out. Stains on carpet in room were gross, and light next to bed was flickering. Breakfast buffet was ok, however was asked when we were going to leave after only 15 minutes, as staff wanted the table - felt pressure to rush. Shower temperature was temperamental and short glass panel meant floor got very wet - bad design. Expensive valet parking and cameras showed driver was very rough with car.

Awesome Location, right on thr beachfront. There was a bit of noise from a function downstairs but the bed and pillows were that comfotable we feel asleep straight away. The room in general was great! nice size, good view, very clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was really good

The water presssure in the shower was a bit low and the TV controls were difficult to navigate. The funstion downstairs was pretty noisy but it finished at a reasonable time...I think (we fell asleep easily as the bed was so comfortable)

Loved the room, very clean. The view was magnificent. Breakfast at restaurant was good. Value for money. Great location

Too many dirty dishes in hallway. And their room service app should be updated and streamlined. Eg: couldn't get warm milk or jam or honey for toast. No dinner options. The staff could better engage with guests eg: asking about our stay when checking out. Breakfast at restaurant should be two prices or a price for a couple, especially when one only has cereal and toast and the other wants to pile there plate up.

The staff are friendly,clearly well trained,helpful and professional :) Pretty much everything was great,the rooms, the bed,the service, the ensuite w/heated tiles!! Love the food !!!! presentation is great and every plate is carefully prepared Winner . The buffet breakfast is insane love it!! I Came for a little hiatus from the rat race over the Easter long weekend to do some writing in peace while still being amoungst the atmosphere and found my stay to be an enjoyable and pleasant experience throughout. Ended up extending my stay

The location in the centre of Geelong was really great, a short walk to Westfield. The views were also beautiful, all the boats on the ocean. The beds and pillows were fantastic, and the staff were lovely and accommodating. There are a lot of nice cafes and food options around the hotel, which was handy!

I feel as though the room wasn't worth the 300 dollars a night we paid for it. But I understand that it was a weekend, and a little more pricey than usual. But other than that, it was great.
