Majestic Old Lion Apartments

The apartment was well laid out. The facilities were clean and well maintained. Car park was very convenient. Lovely fluffy towels. Having a full size fridge, rather than a bar fridge was fabulous. Washing machine worked a treat and the complimentary laundry powder was much appreciated. The soap, shampoo & conditioner and lotion were great with a lovely scent. And the aircon was bliss as we had some very, very hot days during our stay. Helpful kind staff.

Not things I didn’t like - just some feedback. The bowls in the kitchen are the flat wide type used for pasta, which are not great for breakfast cereal. So it might be good to provide cereal bowls too. And providing a pair of scissors in the kitchen would be fabulous too.

A really good central location within walking distance to local shops and restaurants. The free city loop bus stops right outside the complex making it easy to get into the CBD. It was a perfect location which enabled us to also do day trips out of the city, e.g. to the Barossa. The room was a good size and the bed comfy and we also used the cooking facilities in the room.

There are no lifts at this property. Even though we had a ground floor room, it was difficult getting all our luggage from the underground carpark up to the room (we had driven from WA so had a car fridge and other additional supplies with us). The bathroom/laundry is also relatively small.

Excellent location. Next to a pub/restaurant so great for a meal and drinks. Close to pharmacy and shops. Peaceful and quiet. Beautiful courtyard and leafy setting. Nice decor, comfortable bed. Lovely toiletries. All amenities provided. Good size rooms.

The design of the shower base is a hazard. It is so close to the bathroom door, and being the same white colour as the floor tiles, you cannot differentiate it from the floor. We knocked out feet onto it too many times which caused extreme pain and could easily cause a fractured toe. The apartment was too dark with little natural light. The taxi driver dropped us off at another apartment complex called Majestic (despite giving him the correct address) so we had to walk another 10 minutes to get there. I'm sure this happens often. A man with strange behaviour hovered around the street outside the apartment every day. This would be a bit concerning for females.

We love the quiet location, very private & accessible to the free city bus just outside the apartment.

Car park is a bit tight for larger 7-seaters car. Only a central bathroom. For family travel with grown up kids and elderly it’s a bit struggle. The shower head kept dropping down and couldn’t be adjusted during our last day at the apartment. Need to notify the reception in advance if intended to use the sofa bed. They need to put in fresh linen. 😊

Warm, comfortable, serviceable apartment in brilliant and convenient location inn North Adelaide.

Not enough cleaning provided, we were there 4 days and bins weren’t emptied, floors were clearly dirty and remained mopped. Apartment had a full kitchen but implements and kitchenware woefully inadequate. Knives so blunt it was easier to pull things apart with my hands! Just a few improvements in the kitchen, including offering a little oil, salt and pepper to cook with would make a world of difference.

It was a good little apartment for my 2 teenagers and I. It was handy having a kitchen and full sized fridge. I have never stayed in North Adelaide before, I always stay close to the beach. The location was good, close to eateries and easy to get around to other places.

The shower wasn't so great but that's not a big problem. The cold tap just turned on more hot water instead of cold. The air con was only in the lounge area which made the bedrooms warm. There was one tower fan provided but it was very noisy so it never got used.

Spacious apartment with large bedroom. Laundry facilities in the apartment for convenience. Comfortable bed and we found everything we needed for our short stay. Car park was close handy to our room. Full sized fridge/ freezer was convenient. Kitchen was well equipped for basic short stay. Reasonable value for money and eating places very close handy. Quiet accommodation.

We were happy with everything but the shower rose did leak and could hear it dripping, almost running, throughout the night. Easy fix for maintenance and everything else was great.

Room was very spacious and there was all you need. There was king sized bed with sofa bed for your choices. Washing machine and clothes dryer were in the room which was very convenience. Location was quiet, next to a beautiful park and free shuttle bus to go around the CDB. Shops were close too.

The facilities inside the toom were bit dated. They did work well but were bit deteriorated. The parking was easy to access but the spaces were bit small. Probably it was built a while ago when medium/large size sedans and SUVs weren't popular.

Comfortable and quiet, perfect for slightly longer stay with family. Spacious and well equipped with comfortable beds. Well designed, nice leafy setting, walking distance to North Adelaide amenities and parkland. Friendly and helpful staff at reception and good value for money. Would definitely stay again.

Could do with new carpets (ok but v thin underfoot), a/c unit too small to heat the whole apartment quickly (but got there eventually). Time to give people separate place for recycling waste (had to put in general bin or walk out to main bins) and bath screen let a lot of water from the shower onto the floor (manageable but inconvenient)

It's located in a nice green part of the town. The apartments are nice even if old fashioned and well equipped. There is a nice, good, chilled and elegant vibe around the apartments.

The reception desk closes at 10 pm or so. If you arrive later, like I did, you have to pick up the key at another hotel which is not convenient (5 min by car, but you can't really walk the distance if you have luggage). There are no lifts so you will have to carry your luggage upstairs, if you are not lucky enough to get a room on the ground floor (I had requested it but didn't get it). A dishwasher was missing. The bathrooms were also quite old, but tolerable. Oh, they put in two small beds in the smaller bedroom - like kids beds. The master bedroom has a proper king size one though. And yeah, no sockets in the bedroom. Super old fashioned :/
