iStay Precinct Adelaide

Stayed for 9 nights whilst my husband was in hospital & for his post-operative recovery before leaving Adelaide. The apartment was excellent, staff were great, generous parking spaces for large SUV's, excellent location with only a short drive to Calvary Adelaide hospital.

Down sides were some wifi issues for a couple of days which affected my ability to work from the apartment & the fire alarm which went off at 11.45pm the night my husband came out of hospital following major spinal surgery. He had to very cautiously & slowly navigate the stairway from the 11th floor to the 4th floor before being told it was a false alarm, but the staff generously offered a refund of several days parking fees which was very gratefully accepted. A larger fridge would have been useful for the length of our stay & the nightclub adjacent was very noisy until early hours of the morning on the Friday, Saturday & Sunday of the Labour Day long weekend.

One bedroom apartment, with a large patio with closing glass doors/windows. Good view over light square and across the city. Morning sun so a bit warm but shady in afternoon so great to sit on patio and enjoy the breeze. The layout inside was comfortable, good lounge and easy to use kitchen. the bathroom was very well ventilated and great shower. We were on the 11th floor and hot water arrived very quickly. Very good basement parking.

We had a leaking washing machine on arrival and a very noisy a c. Rang up the desk and maintenance man were there very quickly. Fixed the issues and all worked out well. After that bit of grief things ran smoothly. Only had 1 lift running, not of their doing, lift company was having trouble getting the right bits. Most likely fixed by now.

it was an absolute breath of fresh air to actually be greeted by, not only a reception desk, but also a real person to talk to, who made everything so easy for us! the bedroom was clean with crisp white sheets on the the wonderfully comfortable bed. the lounge area was clean and tidy with a nice size TV to watch, WiFi was available free of charge. The balcony was a lovely size, and it boasted bifold windows, so you could either shut out the noise or enjoy the fresh air! the balcony overlooked a busy street, not everyone's taste but we love people watching so it was great for us. The kitchen was well equipped for our needs, with a cupboard full of mismatched glasses and mugs, which actually made us chuckle!

The only thing that was wrong was the cubby hole that housed the microwave was very dirty, although I know hand on heart if I had pointed this out to reception they would have sorted it, so actually...no real complains from us!

I came here to see family and friends after not seeing them for ages and i wasnt expecting too much for the price i paid and seeing reviews online plus i work in the hospitality industry. However i really loved my stay, the view was very nice, the facilties were really cool, i almost wish to say to make it better would be to upgrade the TV, we stayed in 1402A and its a tiny little TV that the colour correction on it is getting ancient. Much praise to Winston who helped us out at everypoint in our holiday, overally loved staying with Istay precient and definetly will be returning in future

Upon arrival we could smell smoke from cigerettes in the Lobby to our lift and there was an odd smell in our room, but we moved past it ans bough like a air refreshener which helped out a lot. Definetly could use an aircon or fan in bedroom girlfriend hated the first night sleep she was uncomfortable but slowly adjusted.

Price, location, amenities

Not able to have guests over Shower screen door wasn't sealed properly. Fan wasn't useful either. Friends room had a full fridge and a bigger/smart TV.

We love the balcony and the view over the city as we are from regional SA. Location is great as we can walk to Chinatown or into the CBD.

I would have liked an extra clean tea towel at least daily. And the toilet paper and tissues supply could be improved (we don't all steal toilet paper and tissues). It is a bit of a trip to reception to collect additional toilet paper and tissues. we actually purchased some ourselves and brought it with us as we know from previous stays the long trip to reception. I was also disappointed to receive phone calls from reception at 10.10am on check out day. We were waiting at the elevator and as only one elevator was working we like many other guests had a significant wait. I have never overstayed check out time.

Well first of all the best thing about the hotel well two best things about it is no just the employees been real but the room was really nice I never been in a hotel where it comes with a big knife proper big spoons forks came with pots for all your cooking ontop of having a dishwasher and big plates for you if you wanted to cook out get takeaway to eat back at the hotel and have proper spoons and forks and knives to help make your stay alot better which I enjoyed also get a big lounge room seperate to my room I was staying and the best part about the bed room was having the air cooler not just in the lounge room but also in the bed room where it’s place right next to the bed so your able to enjoy the heating or in my case the cold air cooler able to hit all of you definitely gonna come back to this hotel whenever I decide to come back to Adelaide definitely 10/10 12/10 for the forks and spoons

Only downside is that my bed room is that you’ll have to keep the blinds close as people will able to look into your room regardless that it didn’t bother me bend by myself as I kept the lounge room and bed room blinds closed for your privacy but i still it’s 10/10

Loved the view and location. IGA next door was handy. Very close to central bus station and China town. Walked everywhere. Beds were comfy.

1.The fridge needs replacing! (got finger caught a couple of times when opening). Can hardly fit anything in it. The ice box was so frozen up that couldn't even fit ice cube tray in it. 2. The vent above stove would not work and also needs a good clean. 3. Stove top (glass) is cracked - don't know if this is a hazard but did not use stove whilst there. 4. Egg flip needs replacing as is so bent that makes it very difficult to use.

The room was awesome, great for what i needed for the 2 nights, easy access once we got in. The rooms were a little tight but there was a wardrobe in the main room and storage behind the door also. The kitchen was suitably supplied with everything needed to cook food, Views of the surrounding buildings was made better that you could see part of the football oval from our room and the sunsetting also. Pool and spa was a delight to use also. Location wasnt out of the way and was a quick walk to the tram and the main city shopping centre. Not much noise was noticed once the windows were closed for being in the city and each room had its own air con. Shower was huge the window in the shower area also had great views. Balcony was fantastic with its fully opened windows, could dry clothes on the airer and still had room to sit at the table and soak in the views of the city. Had off street parking that accesssed the two buildings for about $26/24hrs. Staff were awesome and happy to help when requested. Left at 4 am and there was someone manning the desk. Secure entrance to the buildings and elevator also.

Tv was a little small but did have access to some foxtel channels and the rooms were a little tight if you were just living out of your suitcase but nothing to complain about really. One of the lifts were broken but there was ample signage to apologise for the inconvenience.

The apartment was wonderful and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was a great size and the enclosed balcony was fantastic. The location was perfect. Being able to use the pool and spa was great. It was an easy walk into town, to the tram or the buses.

The bathroom was a great size but a curtain over the small window for privacy would be great. Also clearer instructions on using the washer/dryer would have been good. We wanted to use the dryer on our towels after using them for the pool but could not work out how to just set the dryer.
