Paradise Links Resort Port Douglas

The pool was awesome! We stayed at an apartment so it was like one big living room, kitchen full with utensils, a bathroom with washing machine and a dryer and our bedroom. It was 10 seconds to the pool. Also, staff was very helpful and nice.

if you don’t have a car, it’s a bit a difficult to reach to the hotel and it’s not very close to the city center. There was no catering option so either you have to cook in the apartment or eat outside all the time.

The location was great. The main pool area was really nice. The villa was a good size and had everything we needed for the week. We liked that we had our own garage to park the hire car so it wasn’t at risk of being damaged in any way. The beds were super comfortable.

The pool chair cushions were really dirty/mouldy and very uninviting to sit on. For the most part we would take them off but find the chairs themselves had holes and breakage. The villa was a great size but felt really dirty from the minute we walked in. The carpet upstairs is covered in stains and could do with a good steam clean to make it more comfortable.

We loved the location of the resort. Amenities suited our requirements. Paradise links is a quiet place a little out of Port Douglas main tourist area. That’s it charm. Its walking distance to the 4 mile beach. Situated on the edge of a great golf coarse that my husband was stoked to play. We had an upstairs one bedroom apartment overlooking the pool. The bed was super comfortable. Transport into town is a breeze via a shuttle bus @$5.50 per person each way. Would definitely stay here again.

Just a couple of upgrades would be great. The single desk chair was in need of attention, we used a cushion on the base to make it comfortable. The bathroom didn’t have an exhaust fan so was very wet and fogged up when showing. I would choose a room with a couch for relaxing. And perhaps a microwave. Being appartment accomodation and no restaurant facilities close we would have liked to be able to heat up a meal.

We were greeted with spa vouchers and a bottle of champagne upon our arrival. The place was spacious and felt like home away from home. We were upgraded so we had a beautiful view overlooking the main pool from our balcony. Amenities were great. You can cook your own food in the kitchen and do laundry as well as a dryer. It was also a short drive to Port Douglas. The place was kept clean, had ceiling fans and had aircon. The staff member were very friendly and also helped with figuring out how to use the dishwasher as it wasn’t turning on for us.

My partner and I were very uncomfortable sleeping with two single beds put together. It was very hard for a good nights sleep.

The people at reception were lovely. The room itself was quite nice. The balcony gave us a really nice view of the rest of the resort and the pool. There are several pools you can swim in with different temperatures. Overall it was a very comfortable stay.

The TV was the size on a monitor, so not very good to watch things on, it also wasn't smart so weren't able to use Netflix or anything like that. The bathroom didn't have ventilation, so the room would fog up everytime we showered. The sound proofing was also really awful. We got lucky most nights, but one night a couple was arguing almost until midnight, and you could hear it all through the wall.

The apartment had everything we could wish for. It was large and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the balcony outlook onto the tropical garden. The lagoon pool was amazing and we spend a lot of time there. We loved that there was a bbq area in the pool area. We will return if staying in Port Douglas again.

The fridge in our apartment looked old and tattered on the outside. The second bedroom was positioned next to the road so was noisy at times but that did not deter our stay.

We had villa no 7 which is two story and had recently been renovated plus a lockable car garage attached. The whole villa was very well appointed and we just loved staying there. The rear of the villa backs onto the golf course so our view was of green grass lawns and the occasional golfer….we were not hemmed in by other buildings….very peaceful, quiet and private. We had perfect weather and didn’t need the air conditioner on, we opened up all the louver windows to let the breeze flow through the villa…so nice! The master bedroom upstairs doesn’t have fly screen doors on the double doors or the two louvred windows. But not a lot of mozzies or flies about….we still opened them all night and enjoyed the cool nights air.

Check all doors and windows for future fly screen to be installed. Maybe we were just lucky with the good weather and lack of mozzies and flies. Otherwise…nothing!

We loved the location of the property and the convenience of free parking close by as we had a hire car. Our apartment was spacious - on a corner on the second floor with a balcony which was a perfect location to catch a subtle breeze as we enjoyed breakfasts and an evening meal outside. The garden scenery was also very pleasant and the pool was located close by too. We also discovered places to eat within walking distance of our apartment to compensate for no restaurant on site and a short drive to takeaways and an IGA nearby. Breakfast at the nearby Golf club was also a treat and we were made very welcome. We chose this resort as it was away from the bustle of the town centre and it was lovely and peaceful.

Perhaps a little more detail with cleaning as there were many dead bugs and insects on the windowsill when we opened the shutters in the kitchen. That is probably being a bit picky though as the rest of the apartment was lovely and clean and we realize there are lots of insects in NQ!! It didn't really bother us but may have been a bit off putting for other people. We also appreciated the fact that a lot of resorts are most likely just getting back on their feet after the impact of Covid.

I've lost count how many times I've stayed here, I love the peaceful ambience. Staff are very caring and helpful. Great pool, well appointed kitchen and bedroom. Great to have laundry facilities in the villa after we'd been up at Cape Tribulation! We used SR coaches to get in and out of Port Douglas which were reliable. You can hire a bike or scooter also.

My daughter had a bit of a wait, 5pm, to receive her confirmation text for when her room became available, this was not a major problem, she spent her time at the pool. We do understand cleaning staff shortages can occur anywhere right now.

swimming pools were amazing! middle of winter and the kids swam for more than an hour. warmer pools on the outside fall into huge middle pool. I swam laps in the middle pool - easily long enough.

out of town (turn off is almost opposite the wildlife centre at start of town. 2 min drive to residential areas that front the middle of 4 mile beach, you park and walk onto the beach without the hassle of being in town. we rented two rooms that had separate entrances but were behind one common door- kids had one room and us the other. kitchen and fridge, washer/dryer were in one of the rooms but not the other , perfect for us.
